This was our sixth visit in twelve years to Willow Brook, and as ever, we wish we could have stayed longer than our 4 days. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the kitchen opened for lunch just for the two of us on our arrival. We were early on that day, but the rooms were already available. We split our days between wine tours (I recommend Wine Escapes) and pool time. That sunny pool area is one of my favourite places in the world, and somewhere to reminisce about from a foggy Englan... We stayed at Willowbrook for 4 nights and we really enjoyed every single moment in this small paradise. Very helpful and friendly staff, great dinner options, nice breakfast (if there's something they could upgrade, that's the coffee/coffee machine). For sure that's the place everyone would love! See you soon! And thank you!

Please let me take this first opportunity to comment on Willowbrook House after a very long return journey to New England. I had a good rest at Willowbrook following two weeks of travel between Joburg, Kruger Park and the super madhouse environment of old Long St Cape Town. My original reservations were made with booking.com and further communications via e-mail with Lisa (over the period of about 6 months prior to my stay) and it was already an indication of a very competent hotel executive w... Had a great time there. The very quite but centrally located building is an old farmhouse dating from 19th century. The rooms are spacious, stylish, modern with air-con, modern bath with bath-tube - which is great after a long hike. Nice garden, clean pool. The restaurant is cosy and serves excellent food & wine. The Helderberg Mountains are just around the corner with great hiking trails. Lots of golf-courses and the finest wine-estates just next door. Lisa, the charming manager, provides you ... Read more

Willowbrook Country House was our first stop (8 nights) on our very first trip to South Africa. We felt absolutely safe there and enjoyed the location with the wonderful silent garden. It was the ideal starting point for golf and sightseeing. Our room was spacious and nice furnished. The services was perfect. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Thank you very much to Lisa and her team!

We stayed here as part of a great trip organised by walkingholidays in south africa. Apparently the hotel has been pushed off the number one spot in the area by dodgy tripadvisor practices: take no notice and come here. It's a great place to unwind, lounge by the pool and visit local winelands. Best recommendation is walk to Morgenster and have lunch there: superb!

We spent a week in this charming place and were lucky to get the Private Residence, which is basically the size of an apartment with a large portion of the garden as your patio. The bed is comfortable, with a firm mattress, and a choice of 5 pillows. The entire staff is super-nice and they try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. For example, Lisa, who runs this place, is always happy to make reservations for you or arrange tours, golf tee times etc. Maggie, her right hand, runs the restaurant... Read more

We stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding at the Lourensford Wine Estate - about 5 min away by car. Other than the wedding, we didn't do anything else in Somerset so we can't comment on the location in terms of tourist attraction. The country house is on a beautiful estate. We booked the Petite room but they upgraded us to either a Classic Double or Superior Double. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very spacious with radiant floor heating. Bed and bedding were comfortable but I ... Read more

We recently spent 6 nights at Willowbrook Lodge. Everything more than met our expectations. The room was worthy of any 5 star hotel and the peaceful surroundings were exactly what we wanted. However the real enjoyment came from the service we had from Lisa, Maggie and the rest of the staff. After only one day we felt "part of the family". Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a very nice, freshly cooked breakfast each day, and on the evenings we ate in, we had a beautiful meal. We will... Read more

We have stayed about six times at Willowbrook and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Somerset West. The peace, quiet and comfort are exemplary and the care and attention from all the staff is above all expectations. Lisa and Maggie go the extra mile and then some to make sure you're cared for. Excellent value for money and I can't wait for the next visit.
