Lovely hotel and great staff. Wonderful breakfast included. A bit out of the city area but a shuttle bus is provided which we utilised. Good food at the restaurant and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if ever in Cape Town.

We picked Double Tree because they offer good price for loft suite. Very comfortable room and good service. We stayed 7 nights. Location seems convenient and not far from highways to explore other tourist attractions. At night, quite dark and deserted if you are single traveller. Not a problem for us as we are family with own rental vehicle. Only complaint is poor wifi connection.

As other reviewers mentioned, this is a lovely hotel. Large, comfortable rooms. Generous breakfast. Accommodating staff. I don't feel it works for tourists unless you have a car or a driver. It's too far off the beaten path. Nothing to stroll to. You miss the ambience of the city. Shuttle runs infrequently.

More especially I loved the breakfast and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a place that is home away! The service is exemplary great with very friendly and helpful staffs. We stayed 4 nights in June 2016 at this hotel. I can honestly say, the service was amazing. Every single person we came in contact with- those at the front desk, in the restaurant, cleaners, maintenance- EVERYONE was super friendly and helpful. Everyone was so happy and in a good mood- and it really made our stay that much enjoyable. Every question we had was answered and every request was accommodated. Stayed in Nov 2015 with friends, would recommend - warm cookies on check in was a plus! Offered great value for money. Good sized rooms and bathroom and a great breakfast on offer. The neighbourhood is a little questionable and I wouldn't wander around the local area without a car. Car Parking was very reasonable and had easy access to the hotel. Only thing that needs improvement is the gym - definitely not what you'd expect from a Hilton hotel but otherwise an excellent stay!

Get rid of the towels with holes and post the price of your airport shuttle. Fix the leaking shower so that water is not all over the floor after you use it. Almost ruin my trip! Better options elsewhere.

I selected the Doubletree hotel based on an internet search of hotels in the Cape Town area. Initially booked the hotel for 5 nights, but extended the stay for all 14 nights of the vacation. The decision to extend was based on the hotels itself, accommodations, restaurant & bar facilities. The hotel and staff were excellent. The only downside i would say is the hotel location within the city. Not really an area for walking. Proximity to the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, and the Cape Town CBD h... Read more

We spent very nice time (12 days) in Cape Town. The staff of DoubleTree Hilton hotel significantly contributed to this. The reception desk staff always kindly and extensively helped us with any questions concerning our trips and travelling. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, the amount of food more than sufficient. The restaurant staff was also very friendly and always helpful. Our many thanks belong to all these people!

It's definitely walkable, but would suggest a car as public transit is a bit iffy, and cabs can be a rip off, or use Uber. Can't say enough about the staff at Hotel. From the moment you enter the hotel, you feel at home. The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms spic n' span, the shuttle service to the Waterfront was excellent and on time, the breakfast was superb. Consider this one when you are in Cape Town!

Spent three nights at this beautiful hotel. I particularly marveled at the security card service, though frustrating sometimes in the elevator but the intent is noted. You have very friendly staff, especially, Oscar and Lennox were very helpful in the Restuarant. I can't forget Sis Thandeka who made my eggs. It was great service all round. I was not impressed unfortunately with the turn around time of orders in the evenings. Waiting for a food order for over two hours is not on.

The employee service are always consistently friendly, helpful and competent. The interior of the hotel is stunning and I have never been disappointed by the value of the meals, the music, the ambiance, the quiet and peacefulness of the rooms and an excellent night's rest. The rooms are kept in immaculate condition and every trip, even if it is for business, is enjoyable.

We stayed over at Doubletree last year in October 2015, before attending the Madam Zingara show in Cape Town. We had an amazing time at Doubletree: the staff were friendly and really made effort to make us feel at home. We especially enjoyed the cookies :) - I even asked for a second helping! We were also surprised to be offered a complimentary ride to the Waterfront - this was an unexpected gesture that we appreciated. The room was clean and tidy and we enjoyed the soft bedding. As a frequent business traveller to Cape Town, this is my new favourite. It's a cut above the standard corporate-stay hotel, with more of those little extra touches that make business travel more comfortable, at a comparable or better rate. Slightly out of the central city and waterfront area, but actually quite centrally located and really quick and easy to get onto the freeway that connects north, south, central and seaside parts of Cape Town. Unlimited wi-fi, lots of places to plug in laptops... Read more

Have stayed in multiple Hilton properties globally but all of them have been much better than this one. 1. You enter and it feels like the entrance to residential apartments. Noone at the entrance to help with luggage or guide you to parking for that matter. 2. Room size was good and location was good, but the level of service was very very basic. I for example asked the concierge if they could charge my phone, they said please come down and give it rather than they sending someone to the roo... Read more

Excellent hotel, staff lovely, breakfast is good and there is a shuttle to V&A Waterfront which we found very useful. There is a nice mix of business people and tourists to Cape Town (which we were). It's inside a small shopping centre with coffee shop and convenience store which is very handy. We got a great upgrade to one of their massive suites that has a kitchenette and living area.

We arrived at 13.50 and was told our room was not ready. It took over an hour before it was ready. The room, a Hilton Honours room(4th floor) was faultless. Air-con worked well and good comfortable facilities. The hotel is a long, long way from the city and harbour with a 3-hourly shuttle service, all too infrequent for the location. The breakfast buffet was outstanding both in choice and quality - it had everything! very busy each morning though. the elevators were diabolical - operated by your... Read more

This is a lovely hotel set in a developing business area, but not one for a midnight stroll! We were advised, even in the middle of the day, not to leave the hotel grounds. The hotel itself has been developed from an old factory and shares the ground space with other businesses, resulting in a very imaginative building with soaring, airy public and dining areas. The bedroom was equally big and spacious with a very large shower cubicle. The service was excellent and the food of a high standard. T... Read more

My recent stay at the Doubletree in Woodstock was perfect! For a female traveling alone, I felt safe and looked after. I was able to check in early for my stay which was a welcoming surprise after a 20 hour trip. They offer a complimentary shuffle to the Waterfront. Although, they don't have an official airport shuffle they can arrange one for a fee (which is a little more than a regular taxi), but my driver Tasleem made the ride very pleasant. You can get a good price if you book this hotel in advance. The restaurant interestingly has good vegetarian options. We tried the Thai curry with Jasmine rice and Pasta. Both were awesome. The reception staff is very good. Only drawback is Parking is chargeable at 60 ZAR. There is a heated pool but very small. Also it is in a shared facility outside the hotel.
