Wow, customer service at it's very best! We stayed for 4 nights and at every opportunity the staff excelled with their customer service. We arrived 2 hours before check in and this was not even mentioned, instead we were offered complimentary welcome drinks of our choice and directed to a comfy spot to enjoy the sunshine and then when we had finished our room was waiting for us with complimentary wine and a fabulous view of table mountain from the private balcony. When we needed help with some p... Read more

I have been going to Cape Town for over 10 years, and since discovering Kensington Place have never chosen to stay anywhere else. I like small boutique Hotels, places that are owner run, where you can get all the local flavours, and insider tips. KP has always ticked these boxes. The owner Chris has always been on hand to offer priceless advice on everything that is hot in Cape Town. He knows the best places to eat, the coolest bars, the great design centres, and where to buy that cool present. ... Read more

Fantastic hotel. Every detail was thought of right down to making dinner reservations for us in great restaurants; arranging taxis; etc. Staff were wonderful and the breakfasts were superb. We had a fabulous room with double views over Table Mountain and Lions Head. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We stayed at the Kensington for 5 nights recently and highly recommend. It is a short walk to many interesting cafes and restaurants on Kloof Street. We enjoy walking and were even able to walk to the waterfront from the hotel (though it is a distance). The rooms and grounds are charming, comfortable and extremely pleasant. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. They are happy to make restaurant recommendations and reservations, arrangements for tours, drivers, and sightsee... Read more

Beautiful boutique hotel, hidden away in the leafy Higgo suburb. It is a short walk down to the centre, a short drive to table mountain, camps bay etc. Plenty of nice coffee shops nearby for lazy morning and afternoons. Really great staff and delicious breakfasts. Thanks for our stay!

What a lovely place to stay! This is a small, boutique hotel located between downtown and Table mountain. I loved waking up every day to watch the sunrise over Cape Town's downtown and harbor. Our hotel room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. Breakfast every morning was delicious. The staff were all very kind and helpful. I can't wait to stay here again!

The location, facilities and staff are excellent at this Stylish guest house. My husband arranged a surprise overnight city break for me and we stayed here. It is within walking distance to the ever popular and trendy Kloof Street and the restaurant recommended to us was lovely. The rooms are lovely and the views from the balcony of our room were beautiful. It is located in a beautiful green and leafy suburb with great view of Table Mountain. We were made to feel comfortable and special from t... Read more
