If your going to Capetown and need to stay downtown, you're close to great food, a wonderful hotel and a great breakfast which is included. Your a couple of blocks from the Red Bus Capetown main stop and easy access to the main drag for shopping.

After getting locked out of our house at 4 am, my friends and I were had to book a stay at the holiday inn express. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating and which turned around our night! In particular, Daryn went out of his way for us! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and everything you'd expect from a Holiday Inn.

If you are looking for a hotel in the city centre of Cape Town, this is where you should stay. Comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast en super helpful staff. And since my stay, their wifi is perfect too! I loved the street market in front of the hotel, the vicinity of the Company Gardens and all historical buildings around them, Long-, Loop- and Breestreet. Pity that the area around the hotel feels a bit unsafe by the many homeless people that are hanging around there at night, but that is somet... Read more

Had an amazing 4 day trip to Cape Town during Easter , March 2016. Originally planned for JoBurg but due flight availability switched to Cape Town. This hotel for me was ideal, 3 of us stayed in the room and as a IHG Gold member I was acknowledged upon arrival and the front desk was amazing! My review is so late I have unfortunately forgotten the agents names but they were all awesome! One in particular is solely responsible for the highlight of my trip. I had already accepted that this city had... Read more

Not all hotels have comfortable rooms, polite staff and awesome guest treatment at affordable rates as offered by Holiday Inn. Though my room was allotted to someone else due to some confusion in the booking date, the staff ensured that I was given another room immediately till my room was ready. There is not much variety for food and you might want to venture out for some interesting belly fill. But be careful of not being to adventurous since certain areas around the hotel are not safe after e... Read more

I stayed here with my tour group. It is centrally located. Outside during the day there are block after block of street vendors. It is very close to good shopping on long street. There are great restuarants within walking distances. It is close to V&A and other historic sites. They offer breakfast every morning. The rooms are tiny but the beds are comfortable. This was my first time staying in a Holiday Inn in decades and was impressed.

The overall experience was amazing. Staff was helpful, smiling and friendly. They went beyond to satisfy us. Everything about this hotel is excellent. Location, clean, neat, and welcoming. Except for the fact that we would have preferred a king bed instead of a double bed.....will stay again definitely!

Holiday inn express is centrally located hotel with nice and good room, you are on one of the busy street and close to the slave house and the park. The linen is clean and crisp, staff is well trained and accommodative tries to help you with all the information needed. Break fast served is quite good and has good variety of all kind of food except Indian food. one can have a cup of coffee in the balcony looking at the busy street and people rshsing to work in the morning.

Overall, we were happy with our stay. We stayed a week in June 2016, winter in Cape Town. After the long trip from Vancouver, it was welcome to have a comfortable place to get over travel and jet-lag without worrying about to much driving and hassle. The hotel is located in the business district on a pedestrian mall that during the day hosts a variety of street vendors selling arts and crafts (see photo). The hotel is a little difficult to drive to because it is located between two very narrow, one way streets. We had trouble until a very helpful staff member hooped in the car and directed us. It's actually very conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel was fantastic. We were within walking distance to interesting food and sights. If we couldn't walk, it was easy to access transportation. We attended the Cape Town Jazz festival and walked to and from the convention center. We rented a car and had parking that was affordable and easy to access. The staff is wonderful! From the valets getting the cars to the front to desk staff! Friendly, warm and helpful! Location location location! What a treat!

This holiday inn is ok for South African standards but don't expect too much. Everything you need is available to you, but it's the little things that you have to take into account. At night there are a lot of beggars and homeless people swarming around and sometimes distrusting your good night rest. Also, at night, this neighbourhood might not be the best place to be, but with a party of more than two you are perfectly fine.
