We had been told by Voyages Jules Verne that the hotel re-decorations wpuld be finished by the time we arrived. However, the hotel looked like a building site and the lobby was full of workmen with accompanying noise of drills etc. Several destitute people had pitched themselves on the side of the hotel, obviously thinking they would not be noticed there. The room itself was nice and quiet on the 5th floor. There was a small swimming pool and little restaurant on the mezzazine level which was ple... Read more

We have over the last few years moved from one of the leading Capetown hotels to this Hilton hotel,as Hilton honours members, I really think this is one of the best Hilton hotels we have stayed in. The staff primarily are excellent, friendly, and so eager to help, we have consistently been given extremely good rooms, room service etc excellent. I think the refurbished foyer looks really well, we were there during the reconstruction, the pool area has been updated also and looks great. The only do... Read more

Very comfortable rooms in a hotel that is well situated for visits to all parts of Cape Town. There was a free shuttle bus to The Waterfront where you can eat and shop all day! There is a college opposite which enjoyed a party until the early hours on an outside balcony but we asked fir a different room and spent 5 much quieter nights there! The local mosque will call you to prayer at all sorts of hours as this us a Muslim part of the city. In a few months time the hotel will be revamping and i... Read more

The hotel fell woefully short of Hilton brand standards. The rooms are single glazed and very noisy (the hotel is on a main road in a noisy neighbourhood), and our room was poorly maintained and in need of refurbishment. The executive lounge is the worst that we have experienced. The staff were mixed - some excellent and poor.

Clean rooms and courteous staff. Rooms facing Table mountain give an amazing view of the hill with divergent shades from dawn to dusk. The hotel is close to long street which buzzes with activity. Throughout the day(and night) plenty of city security personnel around the hotel hence we can boldly walk around.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Cape Town City Centre. Despite renovations, the hotel and its staff were great. Definitely recommend paying the extra for concierge level room and amenities. During the day the hotel area is vital and safe but it was not recommended to wonder the streets at night. Having the concierge lounge for drinks and dinner was great. We had great views of harbor and Table Mountain. The concierge staff was helpful at arranging tours. We had an amazing vinelands ... Read more

The Hilton Cape Town City Centre is an excellent hotel with lots of staff ready, waiting, and eager to assist you. We never had to look around or wait for help. It is beautifully maintained and very clean. It has its own restaurant and bars and there are many more restaurants within walking distance. For a small fee (500 Rand/$37.00) they provided airport limo service for us. They also have a free shuttle service that‚??ll take you to and from the very popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront e... Noise from traffic, mosque and carnival type event kept us awake. Single glazzed windows, no sound proofing of any kind. Made worse by lobby renovation, poor maintenance not at all Hilton standards at all.

We stayed here for four nights and I'll admit I was a bit disappointed. While the staff were very helpful and the location was pretty central, the hotel wasn't what I'd expect from a Hilton. The rooms were very noisy, the hotel overall just felt like it wasn't finished, like it had been a too-quick, slap-dash refurbish job where they didn't quite get all the details done. The wifi was terrible, the pool was barely big enough to swim one lap, and just getting a bottle of water at the bar downstai... Read more
