Rooms are comfortable with sufficient packing space and a decent bathroom. I had a balcony room facing the CTICC and harbour behind, they offer mountain view rooms as well. Rooms have digital safes. Housekeeping was efficient and the overall cleanliness of the rooms and general areas was up to standard. Had a few maintenance issues, including faulty mini fridge and faulty sliding door. Both were replaced/repaired swiftly. Restaurant is pleasant and spacious. All food is halaal and no alcohol is... Read more

The hotel is centrally located and is within easy reach of the Waterfront and town. Rooms are a good size and are clean but could use a refurbishment, however, it is not in dire need of one. The bathrooms are clean and a good size too. What makes this hotel so pleasant for me is the staff who are warm and friendly and ever so helpful. The best part is the food at this hotel which is simply divine! It has a huge selection for breakfast ranging from an egg station to having a selection of mea... Read more

The rooms are very outdated and some rooms smell cigarettes and mold. The location is not very good, specially at night. The wifi doesn't work properly. However, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was full of choices.

This place doesn't even deserve a 3 star rating. As soon as you enter there is a bad smell. Room was not ready when we got there. As you enter the corridor to the rooms it stinks of urine. The room was even worse, beds uncomfortable, pillows rock hard, felt like there was bed bugs. Room was unbreathable. Slow service and very unfriendly housekeeping staff. Wouldn't even wish my worst enemy to stay there. Rather go and stay at the city lodge.

Stayed here for 05 Nights in April 2016 Big Spacious rooms with most of the required amenities (although had an issue with the old in-room safe but the Managers were helpful to resolve) The food was good and reasonably priced and Wifi was available both in the room and public areas and it is ideally located close to the Waterfront An Old hotel, but value for Money and would stay here again

The lobby is beautiful. But when you get to your floor , you realize how dirty the carpets are. We stayed there for three nights. And they had some issue with their boiler before we reached. In the cold weather we did not get hot water for 2 nights. After that when the group was upset and asked for refund, the water started coming from next day which was also our last day. The food and overall everything is below average.

The room was very good. Very neatly kept. Very good space for 4 people. Breakfast spread was decent. Front desk was very helpful. Had a quick check in and also a quick check out. Good parking space even for buses. Wi-Fi is available at the lobby for free.

Visited Cape town for 3 days as part of S. Africa trip. Capetonian hotel is centrally located in a big campus. The approach to different areas of town is easy. The lobby is spacious and the front office and other staff is quite courteous. Rooms are well furnished and clean ,but appear to have have few dated articles too. Wifi is free in rooms and lobby. The breakfast is sumptuous and fresh.

This hotel is classic and near to Water front and Long street area. The Hotel is old but maintained good and has a peculiar lifts where there is number buttons which suggests the floors and by pressing the floor number it will guide you the lift you should be entering out of A, B and C and entering inside no buttons it directly takes you to the floor you have selected, funny but yes . The Place is good as it is closer to more happening areas like Long Street and Water front .

How dissappointing. This place is dirty. The food although suppose to be halal is terrible. Cold tasteless and really not nicely presented. It is like nobody cares as to what is happening. Been there before about a year ago but this time around really not impressed.

Not the greatest place to stay but has awesome location, polite staff and awesome food. It's not a comfortable hotel but good for backpackers and group tours. The place is dated but in working order and has a prayer room. The restaurant is halaal and clean. Has good wifi and business facilities, not a luxury hotel.

The staff really redeems this hotel. Everybody was so friendly. The breakfast spread is large and varied, should satisfy all palates. Rooms are spacious. Bottled water is provided only once during your stay... 2 small bottles. Free water available in the lobby. Burger king is just next door. WI fi is good and free but available only in the lobby

This is my fifth stay at this hotel. It is a bit weary worn, but is undergoing refurbishment bit by bit. The rooms are large but do not have double glazing. One half of the building has acceptable views of Table Mountain. The staff are very polite and genuinely friendly. On the second floor is restaurant that you can get tea or coffee in and just chill out. The breakfast is buffet style and has a good selection especially for halal, as it caters for Muslim travellers. There is a small gym equipp... Read more

Stayed a lovely family room. There are no good views to speak of, but the central location and good value make up for it. Minutes away from Artscape and the V and A waterfront. Good breakfast and close to restaurants and takeaways. Very comfortable beds and pillows. The mini fridge was a bonus. There is a free shuttle to the Waterfront which is good because the parking fees can be quite a shocker. Really enjoyed our stay, friendly helpful staff and Mr Modak (owner/ manager, not sure) was ... Read more
