The Cape Grace Hotel was perfect. Service, Breakfast Buffet, Afternoon Tea,Spa, Guest Rooms, Concierge and a car service to drive you on errands. we were all very comfortable and Happy at this property. The Waterfront was a bit too touristy for us. We did find a a very good restaurant for dinner within walking distance, Harbour House.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon and are so happy we did! First off, their food is to die for. Their breakfast spread is truly the best we've ever had. We have never tasted such fresh fruit, homemade pastries and breads, and delicious breakfast dishes in our lives. Secondly, you'll never meet friendlier staff. Every single person working there was kinder than the next. Third, the location is superb! It's within walking distance to the V&A Waterfront, which is a huge... Read more

It is not surprising that the Cape Grace is always listed among the top hotels in the world. Our experience there was nothing short of spectacular! The hotel itself is well located and the attractions of Cape Town are within easy reach. The property is beautiful, but the service is the reason for the great experience. Met with smiles, feel at home with comfort and style. What a lovely Hotel. 3 minutes walk to the harbour and shopping areas on the waterfront. The hotel has a pool area, a great bar which is decorated as if you are on a boat. There is a unique whiskey bar where you can also have your own locker. You can have your whiskey paired with your meals too. Great for Kids as rooms are large and the hotel has special kids itimes. Apartments are also available. A must when in Cape town!!

The staff make this place. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the food of high quality, the location excellent (just next to the quay side), but the stay was made special by the service - from the moment of arrival at the front door to the last help when leaving. Not intrusive - just there when needed A great place to stay

The Cape Grace Hotel is situated on the waterfront in Cape Town. It is such a pleasant area with shops, bars and restaurants wherever you look. Our room had a lovely view of the Marina in the foreground with Table Mountain beyond. We ate in the Signal restaurant of the hotel after an aperitif in the bar. We were looked after very well by Gerald and his team (bar) and were introduced to some superb wines. The R44 Discovery tasting menu was beautifully crafted and the accompanying wines were very ... The waterfront in Cape Town is the place to be! The place to stay is the Cape Grace. "Welcome home," is the way guests are greeted and this is the way they are treated. Many guests are either coming from or going on safari. As a result, the dress code is very relaxed. The entire staff can't do enough to be of assistance. The location is in the middle of everything. Don't miss it.

Stunning location. Great room. Amazing food. The thing that sets this place apart is the staff. Every single member of staff looks after you and sets a level of professionalism I have not seen at many hotels. Could not recommend highly enough.

We were here three years ago and loved it. So glad we got to stay here again after our safari visits. Love the decor and ambiance, service is tops all the way and breakfast was perfect. They really went the extra mile for us. Knowing that there were 4 birthday celebrants in our group of 10 people, they provided something special for each of us in our rooms. On my birthday, I was surprised to have been greeted by the breakfast host and each server who approached me that morning. I felt the... Read more

The Cape Grace was the perfect place to begin our South African adventure. The hotel was top notch. Our room was beautiful and faced the water. We could even see Table Mountain from our window. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious. There were 2 cars and drivers available to drive the guests within a certain radius. fantastic location at the harbor with waking to lots of great places- undoubtedly a highly rated hotel which is in the process of a renovation which we wish we were told while there as it was disruptive. A bit generic and predictable. Staff seemed aloof and uninterested in guests. Nice spa and adequate gym facility. Would try somewhere else next time but certainly not a bad choice.

The Cape Grace is an elegant property on the Victoria and Alfred waterfront. The hotel is on a quay into the water. One side is a marina and has views of Table Mountain, the other side looks into a working dockyard. You are greeted at the door by one of the staff and taken to a desk for sign in. None of the cold and impersonal computer, they ask you to sign into a ledger. The rooms are large and well furnished, with the bathroom as large as the sleeping room. We loved how the door staff always said "Welcome home" every time we came back to the hotel. I stopped by as I had heard so much about this hotel. Everyone from the doorman, receptionist and wait staff were attentive and genuinely seemed happy in their jobs. I didn't think the hot food ordered for breakfast was great - it all tasted like it was sitting in the kitchen pre cooked breakfast but they took this off the bill which so many others don't so full marks for that!

Stayed here at the recommendation of several friends who considered it the best hotel stay ever. The hotel is beautiful; the rooms are large; the bed is amazingly comfortable; the amenities lovely.
