The pros 1. Can use your Hilton points like we did for essentially free accomodation on a relatively expenisve island 2. Accomodating about early check-ins and checkouts if they have availability - it has only 30 rooms 3. Decent American breakfast and can accommodate specific requests for vegetarian options if asked 4. Some of the staff extremely courteous and pleasant - especially the restaurant staff and Indian staff (and I saw them being that way with hotel guests of other nationalities too ... Read more

small hotel, 30 rooms, the best for those who look for quite, nice rooms all against the sea. The staff are very kind and polite, you hardly can feel them', but they are there for everything you need. Food is O.K. Good with generosity. Itā??s a place to rest and relax. There is a small spa, massage and a nice swimming pool. You can go out for several excursion.

We have booked this hotel for one night as we were initially planning to book Hilton Northolme but there was no availability for our first night in Mahe. The hotel is small, 30 rooms with direct access on a spectacular beach. The vanishing pool overlooks the Indian Ocean. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious, with a whirlpool on the balcony. The lady at the reception (Vaina) was so kind and warm when welcomed us. Overall I think is an excellent option.

Service delivery level is very low, especially is to take into account that it's a Hilton family hotels! Traveling all over the world and visiting 4 * and 5 * hotels in different countries including Hilton should attract attention of management of apathetic and uninterested staff in everything they do, not even talking about doing smth special. I was left in a lobby of hotel without my order for birthday cake early in the morning. After long conversation with chef, management and concierge they ... Read more

We chose here for our 30th anniversary, and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it is,after only seeing it on the web. The hotel is small, about 30 rooms, all facing the sea,and is literally on the beach,so no over crowding issues at meal times or around the pool. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them, to make your stay a good one. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, the dining area inside is large, there are plenty of choices of food, fish or meats ar... Read more

The resort is beautiful, and the rooms really do have an incredible ocean view. We were able to sleep with the huge balcony doors cracked and were serenaded by the ocean. The sea is a little rough here with a strong current, but you almost don't need it with the beautiful infinity pool. I liked the privacy of the beach and resort area, would recommend renting a car (available reasonably at the hotel) to see the rest of the island too. The main reason for choosing this hotel is that it is close to the place my other travel mates are staying, so far we feel lucky about our decision because it is also a decent hotel apart from its advantageous geo-location. It is within 30 mins drive from the airport. If you rent a car, which most of you would I suppose, it is within reasonable driving distance from spots like Victoria, beau vallon. What made my stay totaly satisfied was the staff of this hotel. Excellent hotel, fabulous location, right on beach. Very clean, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms. Excellent spar, gym facilities and amenities; infinity pool. Polite, courteous and attentive staff. Menu not especially inspired. Beach clean and quiet, sea has noticable long-shore down beach current, perfectly okay but keep an eye on kids. Excellent weather, time of year for stay probably important. As advertised, completely satisfied, highly recommended.

So, I will try to give you a better idea if you decide to book this hotel. We came from Dubai and have been in Double tree there, to compare those two hotels, Double Tree Mahe is not even close to Double Tree by Hilton Dubai, so do not get upset if you've been in some others net of this hotels. The hotel is nice, the territory is very tiny, so do not expect that you will take a walk around. (It seems Hilton bought this hotel and rebranded). Located right on the beach, the views from the property are fantastic ! The rooms are beautiful as well with equally good views, a good infinity pool - all combined make it a beautiful place to stay on Mahe! The location on the east coast is also great - the sun rise in the morning is spectacular and access to west coast beaches are also easy via car! The best thing about this hotel is the location, beautiful sea view to wake up to. The staff are all good and attentive. It is not the regular hilton towering structure but an old fashioned building so don't expect anything fancy. The rooms are clean but not done up like a hilton. It is slightly over priced but that is the case across Seychelles for all hotels. Only one restaurant and food choice limited. U can hire a car and go around the island, really good drive. We stayed at the DT for four nights as the first leg of our journey to Seychelles. For a family w three young kids (6,5 and 15 mths) I have to say this was a decent start to the journey. We booked the DT because we wanted to be safe in terms of hotel standard and the Hilton was a safe bet.
