I feel conflicted about this hotel. There are some great points and negative points. I am actually citing a lot of points others raised in their reviews of this place. PROS: 1. Babba at check in is just great. Very cool and friendly. He is evening shift. 2. The location next to the Old City is great. It also overlooks a lake and has great access to many places nearby. Taxis are everywhere outside 24 hours a day if you need a ride. True, not everything nearby is pretty though. The corniche and s... Read more

I liked the hotel's price and cleanliness of the room and treated staff and I did not like the lack of parking and the floor needs to change and fast prices. Voice conditioner is very annoying. And some of the odors in the hallways. Swimming pool and a small TV channels are not clear

This hotel is located in Balad (old part of the city). The hotel is overlooking a lagoon which is quite dismal looking. The surrounding area doesn't offer any franchised fast food places or fine dining experience apart from the restaurant located in the hotel. The hotel is across the road from the renowned Souk Balad. Upon checking in I realised that the hotel has renovated half of the rooms whilst the other rooms are extremely dated. The renovated rooms come at a premium. After staying for one... Read more

I have been staying at red sea palace for over 20 years now since i was a child, the rooms have been upgraded very nicely on the 1st and 2nd floors, new gym and spa is also available. the Swimming pool area is the same and the tennis courts are completely ruined, the new room bathrooms have showers with half doors which i personally hate as the bathroom gets flooded. The older rooms on the higher floors are also good, nothing wrong with them, old style aircons at the windows which although a bi... Read more

Nice simple hotel in the heart of Jeddah (Balad)... They have 2 kinds of rooms.. a Really good modern styles and classic old one... Donno what they are waiting to renovate it!... Restaurant is bad... Receptionists are grumpy most of them except couple of Asians guys.... The gym is good and they need to work on the coffee shop they have by the pool cause it's really good view but they can do better.

A very nice hotel near to the historic area with a lake view, the food is so lovely and they serve an open buffet for iftar and sahor, you can relay on there catering as it's so delicious. The historic is around 100 m far from the hotel so you can walk to it.

A Quiet and clean hotel. The staff are extremely cooperative and helpful. The location is in Balad area which is the downtown of Jeddah city and around 20 minutes from city attractions. The only remark I have is that the hotel is old and this can be noticed in the hotel amenities. I would stay here again in my next visit.

booked for 3 nights, cancelled our stay. hotel boasted sea view, pool, spa. "sea view" was a view of a man made tiny lake that had garbage floating in it. the pool was only available for men, the spa was only available for men. my friend and I went outside the hotel for dinner and when we came back, the hotel attendants had locked us out of our room. knowing we had cancelled our last 2 nights there, they made us pay again for the one night we stayed before unlocking our room, even though we ha ... I have stayed a couple of times in the last couple of months. Its position in Jeddah is ideal for me and I enjoyed the architecture and ambiance of the old quarter of Balad. 1st and 2nd floor refurbished rooms are good. I can't comment on the higher floors. This is not a brand new hotel so obviously will appear a bit dated / tired to some. Breakfasts for me were more than adequate. Buffet Dinner in the restaurant will not win any competitions but gets you fed. Occassional room service dinner w... Read more

Obviously it depends what you are looking for. If you are looking a hotel close to Balad (old town) which is a UNESCO heritage site then it is a very good choice. The staff do their best to help you however I just find the staff a bit serious specially at lobby and restaurant. The lobby is big and well decorated. The restaurant food quality is good, specially they cook very well the meet. The buffet dinner menu doesn't change too much so it becomes a boring for me since I was there for almost ... Read more

This is a good hotel in Jeddah but should book in the new furnitured rooms. Clean, quiet, good location, polite staffs. The food service also perfect, as well as the bar in the hall. The parking can be problematic but the hotel employees will help to solve any issues.

Every time I visited Jeddah, I will stay at this hotel since 2014. I like this hotel due to its location and service but what I dislike is the room and breakfast. I know the hotel had renovated some rooms at 2 Floor but for other type of rooms, the rooms are so old and not clean. Please renovate all rooms as I know this hotel has a high potential. On breakfast, simple and some food not very good. If you;re driving, it's very hard to get parking. Hotel parking is very limited.

Good old hotel but slowly losing the charm it seems. All was good enough for the stay. The front office did not have have printed rack room rate or displayed so was not sure of the actual type of rooms available and charges. Parking is limited
