I feeld terrible in this hotel, the room is okay but on the reception the don' t checked that i already payed for my room in february. I live in Germany and booked by internet and had to pay in the same week for a special price. I had to wait on the reception a longer time and a women checked all booking systems. She always sayd to me: " Its not payed!!" Well , had to pay again and she sayd to me that i have to send a bill to Romania and when i payed i get my money back. Next morning i like to g... Read more

The worst ibis I've ever stayed in. Rooms old n dirty. Unpleasant staff. Wouldn't recommend it. Carpets manky. Shower black mould. Smells musty. Looks like a throw back to the 1970s Needs improvements. Lots of them!!!

Good location. Regular quality of accommodation. Pretty worn furniture. Very expensive parking (less expensive is in Vienna!). Didn't cheked breakfast. Very good idea of welcome drinks for members (it should though be convertible in coffee!)

Positives were friendly staff in a hotel within walking distance of the main train station. Negatives were the hotel rooms are getting a bit shabby. Also the Shuttlebus had to be booked by email, unfortunately the email provided for the Shuttlebus was wrong - I continually got "mail undeliverable" messages.

I have travelled to Bucharest by train and stayed one night. wanted to have a hotel close to the train station and found this one. Although booked in advance, the price was high for what you get but it was convenient for us. The rooms are old and dirty, the staff not friendly. The carpets and showers mouldy and not really a nice place to stay, but just to lay down one night is okay.

We arrived in the middle of the night, but the lady at the reception did her best to check us in as fast as possible, very kind and positive attitude, worth mentioning because is not something I often found in the hotels in Bucharest. The room was spacious enough for a 1-night stay, but the bathroom was not properly cleaned. I showed some pictures to the receptionist who offered straight away to change our room. Overall, is a good option for when you need to leave early in the morning from the N... Read more

When I arrived I was told payment was not taken even though I made a prepaid booking through Accorhotels own website. This entailed having to pay almost each morning and unblocking my room card every night. Only towards the end my reservation fiasco was sorted by Alexandriou, who I thank. I have to agree with previous reviews in that the hotel needs renovating. I was given a room on the 8th floor and there was a constant noise like ringing in the ear very loudly. I wasn't sure if it was the a... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights in May. The hotel is very close to the train station and easily accessible to the Metro. The room was a decent size, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The shower was clean. The reception staff were both friendly and extremely helpful as were the bar staff. Hotel was very cheap for the standard of hotel and couldn't fault it. My only slight moan is the breakfast at ‚?¨8 per day per person is very over priced in comparison to anything else in Bucharest. All in all e... Read more

I faced the following problems: fridge not working, tv not working, prolem with payment i.e. I had to go three times to the reception in order to pay, tnhey said that there was aproblem with the computer program and the manager had to be found... and called to decide... The first room I was given had not been cleaned and I had to go back and change the room... I dont know if I was just unlucky or.... Its a shame because the hotel is good.

It's my second time here. The first one was nice. This time I found blood on my pillowcase. Except that everything was ok. They have very good breakfast buffet. Overall it's nice hotel which gives very good price for groups.

There were mixed feelings while I was in Bucharest. City center is very modern, with huge boulevards. Especially Uniri bvd. was amazing. I think I haven't seen more beautiful parks than in Bucharest. Cismigiu garden, Herastrau park, Parkul Izvor and many others are worth to spend your time there. But, some signs of poverty are evident. Their homes are very old and unattractive. Anyway, it was nice experience to visit Bucharest and spend few holiday days.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. Location is very good, close to public transport and railway station. It is very well integrated in the Accor Hotels Group and fidelity program. It was a good choice for staying in Bucharest near the main railway station.

Unfriendly staff who were not very helpful; very tired decor; not very clean; the corridors and rooms smelled very smoky; the area around the hotel was not very pleasant at all with some very dodgy looking characters both day and night. If you just need a bed near the station then I suppose it's ok, but do not spend any prolonged amount of time here.

Don't get fooled by the surroudings: this hotel is the real deal for a stay in Bucharest. From the airport you can take the bus 780 to Gara de Nord (de facto, the central railway station), then with a 2 minutes walk you will be right at the hotel. To get to the city center, simply use the underground whose entrance is right next to the hotel (on the left): quick, efficient, cheap and it works until late at night! You may argue that walking in the surroundings of a railway station is not the bes... Read more

This was bought in the Ibis sale but if I had paid full price I would have been annoyed. It has a slightly unloved feel which permeates the decor throughout. The room was very large and comfortable but the old looking air conditioner required a good dusting. The wifi was very intermittent which was a problem. Sit by reception as advised by the receptionist advised if you want a permanent connection. My key then stopped working and I felt like I had been told off as this was due to probably havin... It was my first visit in Bucharest, since my Romanian friends were getting married. I stayed in Ibis Gara De Nord for 2 nights. The hotel is well situated, the hygiene in the room was on a high level. The food in the restaurant was ok. Reception service was quick and efficient. My only complain is that the water in the room was extremely overpriced. All in all, i enjoyed my experience in your hotel and in Bucharest.

I and 11 others in my group recently stayed here for 2 nights. From the outside the hotel looks good and the lobby area is very light and open. The rooms were a little shabby and dated, however they were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and catered for everyone. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant, whilst the food took its time to arrive when it did come it was delicious. We needed to be near the train station so this was ideal for us. Its a little far o... Read more

Disappointing as you can expect more from a brand like IBIS. on arrival the Receptionist was friendly and provide good service. but the room, well, below any standard. Dirty with chewing gum on the floor, mold due to the lack of cleaning in the bathroom. the grill soap support filthy dirty with all soap and the shower gel dispenser,... well a joke. ONE towel for two and despite the several calls to the reception the "30 minutes Promise of making it right" never materialized. take a look of the p... Read more

Very comfortable beds and a very good breakfast. Near the metro and plenty of taxis near by. I enjoyed my stay. Only down side no iron or ironing board. It's fairly cheap and I can't complain. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

This may be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I can say it's the only hotel I've ever checked out of early. The room smelled horribly of mold. Opening the window and using the confusing air conditioning system did nothing to fix the problem. It was so bad, I couldn't sleep. It is very convenient to the train station, but that is not a nice area. The desk staff do their best, but they seemed terribly overworked. I've stayed at many other IBIS hotels and enjoyed them. So, I wonder why I... Read more
