I was here for a conference. The check in was great with friendly staff. Concierge was also friendly, as were the serving staff at lunch. Rooms were decent sized with a small balcony, which was nice. The only negatives were that the conference rooms were FREEZING and the music in the downstairs bar was too loud. I could hear it several floors up until quite late. The casino was small but fun.

The rooms are large and well appointed. Then staff is very friendly and helpful. The meals and conference rooms are wonderful as well. Facing the ocean and the pool area is absolutely breathtaking. Restaurants and bars are located all along the street.

Great time at the Marriott located in the upscale area of Candado in San Juan. I stayed 12/4-12/9 and had the best time and will be returning. A few things to note, the hotel will charge incidental fees but do challenge them as I did each stay. There are plenty of really inexpensive restaurants in walking distance along Ashford Avenue. Bun's directly across the street has really good burgers and the best IPA Beer I have ever tasted! Orozoco's to the left of the hotel is good for Breakfast, lunch... Read more

Upon arriving, my fiancee and I decided it would be best for me to check in while she watched the car. While I was away, one of the hotel's valet employees were being very rude to her. It escalated to the point that the employee started raising their voice and treating her like she was a child. The hotel's elevators broke down for one of the two nights that we were there. One staff member did show me a secret maintenance elevator that I could use. My room was beautiful, but I could not loca... Read more

We stayed here for week in January. Beautiful weather, rough seas. The rooms were adequate, one bathroom was so small the door wouldn't open all way, and you had to straddle toilet to shut door. We had king room, my moms double room had much nicer bathroom. Our room was corner. Ocean view is incredible, especially since the seas were so rough. The restaurants and bar in hotel were very overpriced. Pool was crowded, but very nice for kids. Staff was all very nice and attentive.

Our vacation started out with Marriott upgrading us to a Pool/Ocean view room, which was good sized and well-appointed with many draws and shelves. We totally enjoyed using the balcony; one night we had front row seats to a wedding! The staff was alway friendly and ready to help. The pool is on the smaller side, but nice. We were mostly at the beach, which was beautiful but it has large waves so you would need to really watch small children. There was plenty of staff around to set up lounge c... Read more

Spent a 4 day weekend at this lovely spot. Ideal location and terrific room. Easy check in process thanks to Jock. Couldn't have been nicer. The property has it all including a nice casino and live music/dancing. The buffet breakfasts were great and our waiter Sonny was very personable and helpful. Enjoyed everything about this place. Will be back soon.

I was looking for a romantic getaway, I believe that I booked an unkempt hotel that felt like a cruise ship. Hard to get a beach chair, hard to get attention from the waiters, high prices for basically everything, and very loud. This type of hotel is more suited for families with small kids or large groups of people looking to party, not for romance. I will mention that Puerto Rico is a gorgeous island and we very much enjoyed touring and visiting the rest of the island also.

My family and I took a red eye flight from JFK airport in NYC to San Juan. After checking in we found out one of the rooms that we requested was a king rather than two doubles. Our waiting time was extensive however, Carlos Ramos, who checked my family and I in did a wonderful job of helping to ease our frustration and correct the problem as best as he could. Carlos is an employee of many trades. He was even able to help me gain information about activities while he fully answered all my questio... Read more

Unfortunately, we've stayed at The Ritz in Isla Verde and decided to try staying at the Marriott. What was overwhelmingly prevalent was the employees' is the lack of desire to deliver customer service. There were some stars, bt they were few an far between. Like Jeffrey T, we checked in on their mobile app, but still had to wait on line. They never seemed to have enough staff at the check-in desk. Our rooms were not ready when we arrived because we arrived early. We went to lunch and when w... Read more
