We stayed here 6 nights and it was the best hotel stay I have ever had. All the staff were very helpful and nice. The room was extremely spacious and clean. The beach was kept very clean. Loved the breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs. I usually have trouble sleeping when I travel but that was not the case here. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. Love this hotel.

Staying here right now and up to this point a loyal Marriot reward loyalist. Hotel ok ( rooms dated) but staff ungracious and property so so expensive wanted to get a late check out until 4pm and Janeese (from desk mgr) would completely not accommodate so basically they r losing a Marriot customer because some mgr wouldn't give us a room for two hrs after we spent more than $5,000 for two rooms for six nights (had a third one for 3 nights). We stayed at the San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino for two nights before returning to the states. The room was very clean and air conditioning was very comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean and water pressure great (you'd understand if you stayed in the country). Access to the beach is convenient and there are many choices of restaurants within walking distance. Police were visible and we felt pretty comfortable. Awesome resort! Very friendly staff - bartenders went above and beyond. The pool was clean and felt luxurious. The food is expensive, but it is a short walk to great restaurants. The room was clean and the views were amazing. Didn't get to visit the casino, but it liked nice. Convenient Starbucks across the street.

We thought food and drinks were great. Casino was fun and we won! Only negative would be the closeness of other hotels and buildings but I believe that is San Juan. Ocean rough but with a pins colada (they are awesome) we enjoyed! The staff very helpful in finding local restaurants to enjoy. Drinks can be pricey so we went across street to drug store and kept stock in our room.

Most of the people staying at this hotel seemed to be families with kids or tour groups. The vibe is busy and active, with the pool area being mainly set up with shallow water for kids. There's a big size and a large very shallow pool. Another shallow pool has a swim-up bar. The beach was very nice, with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, and servers bringing drinks. The hotel has several restaurant choices and an active lobby bar. We were there Memorial Day weekend, and there was a... Read more

The San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino served as home base for my tour group for five days. Since this was not the first time my company had chosen to stay at the resort, it is safe to assume the accommodations are of a higher quality. Well-kept rooms offered lovely views of Condado's city-scape, the luxurious pool, and breath-taking beach. It was particularly comforting to slip into one of the provided spa robes after taking an endless, steamy shower. People-watching from the ba... Read more

This hotel is beautiful and the staff here are also beautiful. I do not understand why this facility is not listed in the top 3. From the time I checked in and was greeted by Paola the service I received was nothing short of extraordinary and friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the San Juan Marriott. It has a beautiful sandy beach and is centrally located near many shops and restaurants as well as a Walgreens and a CVS. Old San Juan is just a 20 minute taxi ride away ($21 for three of us). Staying at the Marriott for work. The hotel is in a great location and service is spectacular. Rooms are nice but dated and smell a tad of mildew but that is to be expected I guess given the location. The restaurant, la vista is the best! The buffet is incredible and my servers have been fantastic. So far I've had Kevin for dinner and Diana and Angelo for breakfast. The building and amenities are nice enough - nothing extraordinary, but acceptable ( though not nearly as nice as they pictures look in the website). Food and drink are very expensive, but that's not a huge surprise at a vacation resort. The primary reason for my reading is their unethical booking practice. I booked a room for my family months ago. I asked for an oceanfront room with two beds. I also indicated that we had 3 children. They told us that this was no problem and that they would be ... The only suggestion I have is to be wary of the AC; I had it on the coldest setting possible and couldn't get the room below 73 and humid. Did not use the casino but for condado, I believe Marriott has the best beach to lay out and sleep or get sun, everyday from 6am to 7-8 I would lay out and relax, keep in mind I also went in October so it was out of season for tourism, just how I like it, hospitality... everything was great, I am also not needy, so I was satisfied with everything and the centr... I've been to this hotel twice. Once back in 02' on a couples trip and it was a surprise vaca from a boyfriend of mine which is when I really took a liking to this hotel. It's on the beach, the food was made fresh in the morning for breakfast, the service was on point and they have some of the best corner rooms where half of your room is basically a view via sliding glass doors to the ocean and the pool. We visited the Marriott Stellaris as a group of 30 for my best friend's wedding. The rooms were very clean although a bit small, and some came with a beautiful ocean view. At night, the lobby became a full on Latin club with great music, and people dancing anywhere they could find a spot! The pool and beach were both great for the kids and the adults, but the best thing was the location. Located in Condado, we were a few minutes walk to many great restaurants and shops. The extras they come up with to create more income is beyond me. Resort fee should only be charged from folks that wish to use the pool and should be optional and not mandatory. I didn??t use the pool once but equally had to pay over $100 in resort fee. Staff are great and they understood my anger but I wasn??t blaming them.

I'm giving a neutral 3 star rating because I thought the hotel was overall "OK" and here are some of my thoughts: I found the hotel to be very clean in all spaces, our sheets, bathroom, the pool, restaurants and fitness facilities, which immediately makes me feel at ease. We stayed here from 10/19 to 10/24/2016. In past occasions we had stayed at "The Ritz" and last June we stayed at "The Vanderbilt". We decided to stayed at the Marriott this time to be able to compare. The Marriot hotel has the best beach location and best service and bigger rooms. It is true that the resort fees and parking fees are expensive, but they are also expensive at those other hotels. We definitely go back to the Marriot.

The Marriott is good place to stay at a reasonable price. The Condado neighborhood has gentrified significantly over the past several years and its location makes it accessible to most of the attractions in the area.
