Keep in mind I visit the Island once every two month. This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel. This hotel in (Condado) and the service of the hotel makes you feel you are in the (((ghetto)))) not sure why???? Why the HIG or hotel management do not see this and fix the issuessss!!!! Parking is terrible, breakfast on acceptable!!!!!!! The only thing about this location is The location is amazing.

This property is in an outstanding location literally across the street from the Condado Beach. The rooms were VERY small compared to most other HIX locations that I stay at and the parking is tricky as with most San Juan properties. All in all a good stay and would not hesitate to book here again when back in town.

We stayed 2 pre-cruise nights, The staff could not be nicer and the location is great, but the room we had was gross and smelly. The room was VERY humid and moldy, AC not only did not help, but I think made the problem worse. The humidity level in the room was so high, our clothes and shoes were fine when we got to the room and really damp and smelly of mold when we woke up next morning. I didn't complain to the staff only because we stayed 2 nights and spend most of time outdoors, otherwise wo... Read more

Pros: - Nightly Hotel rates are a great value compared with major hotels in the area. - Staff is attentive and professional. - The hotel appears to have undergone a recent renovation. - Common areas were kept clean and organized. - The room was clean, well laid out and updated. - Breakfast was satisfactory with hot and cold options, excellent coffee, and ... Nice budget hotel to stay in. Very close to all the main attractions like Old san Juan, the beachfront and several other hotels and restaurants in the area. Its abut a $20 cab ride from the airport as well. The front desk is very friendly and welcoming. Elevators are on the small side so careful of big luggage. Also, the free breakfast is great! Make sure to get there early for a seat, but a great spread and variety.

The only negative thing my boyfriend had to say about this hotel was about check-in, we had to wait until almost 5pm even though check-in time was 3!! The staff got into an argument and finally got us a room. All of the positives included: Good air conditioning, clean room, nice pool, very helpful concierge, luggage storage room, called a taxi for us, hotel very close to beach, staff gave us a good recommendation to eat for authentic Puerto Rican food, big bed, close to cruise ship port, safe ... My wife and I love to stay in Holiday Inn Express hotels when we travel. This one is nice, clean, and up to date. The reason this one didn't receive five stars is because this one did not offer the free cookies around the clock and the breakfast ended at 930am instead of 10 or 11am. Not really a big deal but those are the amenities we have come to expect. Great hotel that always meets quality standards for friendliness and cleanliness.

The hotel is located in Condado, which means you are both 2 minutes walks from the beach and from a large number of restaurants and bars. Rooms are good, but definitely much smaller than the avg HIE room in the states. The breakfast is fine, the staff is bi-lingual. The is very little free stree parking. The hotel has a few parking spots available for about $17 per nite. Everyone else can park at the parking garage across the street for the same price. Basically, if you have a vehicle, bud... We booked two rooms here the night before we flew out of San Juan. We arrived and checked in easily. I had a car and wanted to park in the hotel lot, but it was full. The hotel lot is very small, but there is a garage across the street that had plenty of parking and it was the same price ~$17/nt. The only issue with driving to the hotel is all the one way streets. Be sure to get a good map to get here. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a king in each room and a work table and chair. Sa... Read more

Stayed there for a week and it was great. Everything was really clean and the breakfast was an added bonus. I had family stay at one of the bigger hotels close by and they were charged and over charged for every little thing including breakfast. Was nice to stay at a hotel where I didn't have to worry about that. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again next time we visit.

Clean older hotel, reasonably priced, some parts are renovated. Great buffet style breakfast included. Front desk spoke English but maids did not but they were very friendly and made themselves understood. Bad wifi. Located in tourist area but close to bus system which runs when the driver wants to, but didn't have to wait too long, air conditioned (bring a wrap/sweater).
