Miramar is our favorite section of San Juan and this is our go to place. The food is amazing at the Papillion - their wine list is extensive and their specials a must! Highly recommend for anyone that wants to be in San Juan!

This is a beautiful hotel. We had 2 double beds which were comfortable but not the best. Lots of hot water for showers. It is quite pricey but it is close to cruise ship pier. Down and across the street is a grocery store, pharmacy and places to eat. I did not eat at the hotel. Drinks in bar $8 for glass of wine.

Overnight in San Juan and decided to pick a chain hotel for consistency. Hotel had only 1 elevator for the guests and there was no hot water at all for showers. Since San Juan is a cruise port the wait for the elevator in the morning was crazy. Fortunately the maintenance person showed me the staff elevator and I was finally able to join the rest of my party.

Arrived at the hotel around 3:30 in the afternoon on Friday, May 6th prior to sailing the next day. Karla made our check in fast and efficient , as she was very personable and friendly. Took the time to give us tips on the closest restaurants and what was in the immediate area closest to the hotel. There is a pharmacy very close by and a little diner called La Pradera that was very good for breakfast . The rooms are a little smaller, but the hotel is clean and I found the king bed to be ve... We stayed the week before Memorial Day and had an amazing stay. This hotel is within walking distance to several eateries, a church, a pharmacy, a grocery store and a hacienda. It is also within walking distance to Laguna de Coronado (you do have to walk across 6 lanes of traffic...but it sounds worse than it actually is). The Laguna is a great little local spot for relaxing and reading under the huge palm trees. Taxis will take you to Old San Juan for $15 each way (not per person) and to the ai... Read more

What a great last minute trip. I went here with my three children for a weekend getaway. We had a great experience, the hotel was right on the beach which was perfect. Old San Juan was a short cab ride from the hotel. We enjoyed the culture of the surrounding neighborhoods. We would return to this hotel for quick trip. Keep in mind this is NOT a resort , it is a nice hotel that has very nice accommodations .

I am a Marriott Rewards Silver Elite member, so I was happy to find a reasonably priced Courtyard in an area close to the airport and cruise port to stay the night before my wife and I left for a cruise. I was even more happy after staying there. The lobby is bright and tropical, the room was Marriott consistent with a comfortable bed -- which is why I am loyal to the brand -- and the area was lively and safe with numerous stores and restaurants in walking distance. This hotel is on an great location and staff is very welcoming and nice. Only two issues: they do not honor one of my preferences from my profile that is the room far from the elevator and the maid who did my room just set up the bed and put back clean towels but do not took care of other detail like closing the ironboard that I used, put back on place the hair dryer and stocking me with body lotion wich I used practically all. Otherwise I like the hotel a lot

I called the hotel in need of short term rooms for my family as my grandfather passed away. The front desk and rooms controller were very helpful and accommodating from everything to the rate, to early check out of one room, to extending a day for the other. Housekeeping was very nice and helpful when I requested additional amenities for my room since we left so quickly, we forgot to pack a lot. We appreciated all of the help during this tough time.

Stayed here for a couple of days prior to a southern Caribbean cruise. Price per night was reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most spoke English very well. The cabs are constantly lined up in front of the hotel, so there is literally no wait for one if needed. Cab to Old San Juan for 6 is $22-$23. Cab to Pan American Pier is about $15 but there is a charge for each luggage. Pueblo is a grocery store about 2 blocks away and a short 2-3 minute walk. There are plenty of restauran... Read more

Stayed here for one night prior to going on a cruise. Worst thing is only one elevator for a huge hotel and hotel at capacity. Had to wait for long periods of time for an elevator and we would have used the stairs except we were on one of the top floors. Rooms hot and the air conditioning would not turn down. Very disappointed in Marriott chain, usually have a very good experience. I would never stay here again.

We stayed at Courtyard San Juan Miramar one night before catching a flight to St. Croix. The room was comfortable and clean. Free wi-fi. The location is great. Close to lots of restaurants, if you prefer not to eat at the hotel. In addition, there was a pharmacy and another store for last minute purchases. The staff was prompt. Cabs were plentiful. No issues. The only downside: one elevator. So, you may find yourself waiting or opting to take the stairs. Other than that, everything ... Read more

We stayed here for 14 days and got married in Pinoñes during the course of our stay. The room was good. The hotel staff actually updated us to a suite once we told them we'd just gotten married (make sure you mention it). The housekeeper was pretty good, but didn't always leave us the bottled water that we were supposed to get. As others have said, the single elevator situation is a bit grim. Very helpful and friendly staff. Taxis stationed 24 hours. Great location (15 minute walk to beaches, quick walks to cheap or fancy food, and an hour walk to Old San Juan), and all the big tour companies (for biobay, rainforest, snorkel) stop by for pickup. The room itself was clean though obviously older with blue carpet and a bouncy bed but we slept fine. Good deal for the price.

Have stayed here on business now 5 times in the last year. I like it because #1 you can park for free on the street, #2 there are several good restaurants in walking distance as well as a grocery store, #3 the rooms are pretty good overall, service / staff very nice and has a connecting restaurant for breakfast. The gym is barely a gym but has 1 of each cardio machine and dumbbell rack so you can get an OK work out.

Front desk was friendly & amicable. Any questions I had during the course of my stay was answered. The hotel was in a good location with Los Pinos Restaurant one block away and open 24 hours a day. The hotel and rooms were clean and my family loved the view of the pool and street. The beaches are a bit of a walking distance or a $13 cab ride away. My only gripe was that breakfast wasn't included in the room. Whenever I have stayed at a Marriott hotel, I've ALWAYS had breakfast included.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 night. The bed is not good. Housekeeping service is slow, at 3:00 PM the room is still not clean. There is only one elevator. If you go to the bar at 3:00 PM there is nobody to prepare a drink for you. One night, at midnight the next room had like a party and even though we called 2 times the loud music continue. We were on the 10 floor and the hot water take like 20 minutes to be hot. The only was good was the valet parking.

We stayed here on our last night in PR in order to be close to the airport. So please understand that we weren't expecting anything extravagant, just a place to sleep. The staff were very helpful and it was a lovely weekend stay. However, the rooms are a little cramped and while the addition of the desk in the room is meant to be useful, it's hindering due to the lack of walking space by the bed. Also being able to constantly hear the flushing of the neighbors toilets is a little annoying at 4am in the morning. I would recommend for a quick weekend or overnight stay however for a longer visit a little more upscale would be better.
