When you walk into the place it was Zen, it was soo comforting and nice. The staff was very welcoming. My husband and I had the hot tub to ourselves for an hour. It's soo pretty, you can see the beach from the hot tub. It was quiet and serene.

So pretty, close to the beach, friendly staff, comfortable room, everything you'd want. I want to go back all the time. Sitting in the hot tub, listening to the call of the frogs, was magnificently relaxing.

I had booked a room to celebrate my anniversary at the Wind Chimes Inn but Omar upgraded us to their sister hotel the Acacia and personally walked us over there. We were right in front of the heated pool, it was perfect. Just a couple steps to the beach, good restaurants, quiet and friendly neighborhood.

This hotel was exactly what we needed for a long weekend away. The room was nice and simple. The a/c worked great and the hot tub was awesome. It was Less than half a block to the beach which was great. It's within walking distance to a few restaurants we had good luck at Blonda and we really enjoyed walking down the beach in both directions.

The lobby was nice, but the room was tiny, cramped, dirty, in need of sweeping & mopping. The bathroom light could have been a refrigerator light bulb - so dim you could barely see. The bed was lumpy and the bedspread was awful. When we got home, we discovered they billed us for the bedspread that we never even used. What a racket. I'd be willing to bet that that bedspread is still on the bed today. If you stay here, be prepared - most likely they charge every tourist for the bedspread. T... Read more

This hotel is literally right on the beach. Perfect for the beach goers! For the most part we loved this hotel as an adult couple. Some staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the best. Our room was great, super clean. The hotel is very well kept up.. I wanted to stay one more night, but the clerk on duty (May 26, 2016 @ 11 a.m. ) did not give me options to keep me as a customer for making my reservation on Trip Advisor . It's a shame that these employees do not wish to do more for custo... Read more

I looked, looked, and looked some more until I finally landed on Acacia. The price and location were exactly what I wanted for my first trip to PR. Sees like everything happens along the "strip" out front. However, this is at the tail end of the sights and sounds of San Juan. For some that is good. For those looking for the active night life found at larger hotels and casinos, bring your walking shoes. The beach out front is just fine. A little pedestrian, but fine for some sun and swimming. From the first day we arrived to the Acacia Boutique Hotel the staff was a pleasure to work with. Always very helpful and supplied an abundance of information concerning the Cafes and all the attractions around the Condado and Old San Juan. Our room and bathroom was very spacious with two Queen size beds and all the comforts of home and most of all clean. The beach was about 200 yards from the property with easy access. This was my first time in Puerto Rico but will not be the last. The Acacia B... Read more

I stayed with a couple of colleagues ..we were impressed with the facade lobby of the hotel. However when we got to the rooms, airconditioning units were not working properly. The customer care services takes soooo long to answer calls.some of our friends have to ask to change rooms because toilet drains and showers were flooded.

I absolutely loved staying at this quaint hotel during my first visit to San Juan. The view from my 3rd floor balcony was beautiful. The location was perfect for walks along the beach. It was close to restaurants and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. Only street parking available. I recommend this hotel for solo travelers or couples.

Quiet but only a few blocks from restaurants and shopping and one block to the beach. Room was clean and quiet - stayed on the 3rd floor in a King room and would go back again! No pool, but you can use the one 1/2 block up at the sister hotel, and the restaurant does not serve lunch, so you have to go elsewhere (which is not difficult in Condado). Sister hotel has a quaint "boat bar" that is nice, but no air conditioning so can be a tad hot.

This hotel is near the condo we leased. It is charming and has a wonderful restaurant that my family and I dined at. Perfect for special occasions, romantic dinners. The staff at Acacia are wonderful and friendly. Seriously, just a half block to the beach!

Quaint, old feel of a property...the room was basic and in need of some color. The bathroom was nice but needed better lighting. The facility MUST update the linen and should add the same flair of decorating excitement that is seen in the lobby (which is beautiful). I also feel the rooms should be equipped with a microwave OR have one available for all guest in a specified area if they choose! The cold pool is located at the sister property which was a bit of a nuisance, the pool space is very... Read more

The rooms at this hotel are unclean. Be prepared to bring your own cleaning supplies if you decide to stay. There is no parking, you have to find parking on the side streets if you can. Sometimes there is no parking for miles so be prepared to walk through unsafe neighborhood to get to your hotel. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. If you voice your concerns about parking or unclean rooms, they are not very helpful. We tried to get in touch with a manager and we were told staff was not... Read more

Just spent two nights there and it was not worth what we payed. We had to wait 25 minutes to check in cause the guy at the desk was on his break. Very small rooms. There was blood smeared on one of the bathroom walls. They claimed they offered beach towels, but ironically they were out of them both days so they gave us some old ragged towels that were super small. And the parking... well there is no parking! We drove around for an hour trying to find a parking spot anywhere but finally ended up ... Read more

The property itself is very nice and just steps from the beach. They also offered beach/pool towels, which was very convenient. We didn't use the impressive hot tub much because it was a warm week, but we did make use of the pool at their sister property across the street. The restaurant was quite expensive, so we also ate at the little bar/pizza place at the sister location (affordable and daily 2-for-1 specials). The nice man who worked during the day (middle-aged with moustache and glasses) w... Read more

I don't give them 0 stars because it won't allow me. I made a reservation for acacia boutique hotel seven months ago, I called a week in advance to say our flight was going to arrive late right it in our account so our room would still be available. When arriving Thursday night the wind chime said we had to stay there because of plumbing problems at the acacia and they had no more rooms, which I'm not naive and I know it was because they over booked and gave our room to someone else. I will not be rating the hotel's facilities or staff as I NEVER stayed here. Nevertheless I am still being charge by Acacia Hotel for a full stay because supposedly I never cancelled my reservation. It's worth mentioning that I did my booking through the website Booking.com and that of course I hold them both (booking.com and Acacia Hotel) responsible for charges incurred, which are about $500. Yes, it is very pleasant to see a charge on your credit card statement for something that shouldn't ha... Read more

Very clean botique! No elevators! Close to beach ! Too far from old San Juan and cruise ports! It's a botique! We only stayed one night before our cruise! The pool was up the block! Small little cups for coffee up the block terrible! The staff were very nice ! The best was the bar with pizza at their sister hotel ! Home made right in front of you fresh basil arrivals etc! Delicious!!!!!

Friendly staff at both the Acacia and their sister hotel, Windchime! The food at Niche and the boat bar was awesome! This is a great location for those who want to vacation like the locals. It's within walking distance to the beach and many local restaurants with authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The only downfall is that the rooms are definitely not sound proof and the neighboring hotels look a little rundown. Overall a perfect place for a budgeting couple to have a cozy vacation.

I loved Acacia Boutique Hotel from the very moment I walked through the door. It's like a well kept secret in San Juan. The front desk staff (more like hostesses) were wonderful, as was service in the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and intimate, and it's located right next to the beach. The Spanish architecture of the building adds to its ambiance and personality. My best friend and I didn't discover the beautiful pool until our last night at the hotel. This is a true boutique hotel. Nothing has that standard corporate feel and there are many small delights, like the pretty lobby and friendly front desk service. Very comfy bed. Towel service for the beach. If you go, don't be shy about asking for trip suggestions and speak up if you need something. Avi and Christopher will go out of their way. Not unusual for small places working with leaner staffs, you may have to wait a few minutes (really, just that) if someone is wrapping up another matter.... Read more

We went for a week in October to San Juan and experienced more of what the island has to offer - we usually stay are large hotels so we have a pool and jacuzzi etc but this was very nice - it was not what I expected - smaller rooms - older and in need of service but not dirty - it was nice - the halls and stairway was very hot - but what a nice heated pool to hang out in and great rooftop sitting area - if they had a nice view of the beach it would be better but still a good value

I did love the room size, cozy feel and the view of the warm pool. The property is very well maintained. The lobby has a large buds statue, and it's feel very relaxing. I felt like I was walking into a nice spa. I did love the decor in the property showcasing the tropical ambience of Puerto Rico. I did enjoy the pool, and friendly staff at check inn and check out.

The Acacia Boutique Hotel is in a great location with a small little pool and close walking distance to several eateries. The pool is small, but natural rock with warm water. We got a package deal through an online travel company, so our room price was a little cheaper than the usual price. The rooms themselves are small and cozy, but our bed in the cheaper rooms was a double; my husband and I barely fit on it, and we're under 5' 7". We also requested maid service two days and each time, we usua... Read more
