Loved our stay! Great views, never felt crowded. Food and alcohol is very pricey, we ran down to a local store and bought some snacks and alcohol. (Highly suggest a rental car) Went out to local restaurants for other meals. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Especially the lady we were greeted by at the front desk and the guys who drove the shuttles! Doesn't take much to get over to the main hotel and get to palomino island, which was also excellent and didn't feel crowded there ever. Activ... Read more

The place had excellent service and the breakfasts were good. The manager, Maria Vega, was attentive and professional. The property is very large, with an abundance of stairs. Good for a workout but wonder how people who have issues with mobility stay there.

Las Casitas Village was awesome. My wife and I were blessed to stay in a room with an ocean view. Our room had everything needed to make it cozy for us. Very spacious as well as a small kitchen and large bathroom. The Wifi in this room was fast and had strong signal. The best part about this trip was the hospitality. All the employees at this place were SUPER NICE. I have been to many resorts but this one impressed me the most with how hospitable everyone was. Lastly, to get back to the... Read more

Loved Las Casitas!! The room was perfect. I had an ocean view. Definitely worth the money. Great breeze. Infinity pool was amazing! Chris was our waiter at Chops. He was on the money!!!I I was suppose to have a butler. Never seen him. Overall my stay was perfect. I would definitely go back. Food was good. Chops was pricey but worth it. I recommend the skirt steak with cheesy corn. Drinks were not watered down. Perfect vacation!!!!!

Wasn't impressed. Great location, can't take that away. Staff super friendly and helpful, really some of the nicest staff I've met at any hotel around the world. But it's an enormous, and dated, complex of buildings which is not at all "new visitor friendly". Useless resort map. No book in room outlining restaurants with menus. Passable food at restaurant where the concierge recommended we go that night (the "Tapas" one that fits between their fine dining restaurant and their diner restaur... Read more

There is so much to say about our amazing stay, these lines are not enough to describe the amazing experience we encountered during our stay. We arrived on Friday night and it only took us 5 minutes to check-in and went straight to our room. The room was extremely clean, it really felt like a home away from home. The next morning we headed to the Coqui Water Park, the kids had an amazing time. I noticed that the staff was very attentive, the lifeguards were always looking out for the kids. I fou... Read more

My husband and I took six grandchildren to this property for a long weekend. The Casitas was beautiful and large enough for all of us. The Casitas area has their own pools and cafes. The breakfast cafe is wonderful and I would recommend using it vs. going to the big buffet in the main hotel that had very long lines when we were there. Most of all the staff were amazing. Very good with children. I would highly recommend the resort. We went horse back riding, snorkeling, a few had golf lesso... Read more

The resort is beautiful! The grounds are exquisite. Our 2 bedroom villa was spacious, well appointed and clean. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. We were incredibly disappointed with the food available on site. Mediocre burgers, chicken fingers, pizza at most of the places where you can dine with kids. Local restaurants were good, though. Annoying to have to call a shuttle to get to main hotel to take advantage of amenities. VERY expensive bill at the end of our 5 day stay. ... Read more

Wonderful resort with great amenities for the entire family. No need to leave the resort for anything. Food is fantastic from the breakfast buffet to lunch on Palomino Island to dinner at Chops, Blossoms, and La Piccola Fontana. And best of all --the Sefive across the Resort is excellent. Made the stay that much more enjoyable. Well done Las Casitas.

Travel time from Las Casitas to the only beach at Palomino Island was way too long. The resort fee and room taxes made the cost a lot higher than expected. At one of the restaurants it took the staff half an hour to clean up a patron's throw up off the floor.

One of our favorite destinations! So beautiful and many activities. There are 3 options to the expansive property; Las Casitas, El Conquistador, and Marina Village. The 1st two are on a bluff above the Marina Village and the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean views are spectacular! Worth paying for rooms with an ocean view. With this being a Waldorf Property , expectations were high. The staff , room & quality of food were all excellent , but obviously this is not a low cost option . Las Casistas (El Conquisitdor) is a beautiful property that is very large. It is removed from the main hotel & not suitable for enjoying any of the amenities at El Conquisitidor. There is no beach on site. To access the beach you need to walk thru the entire resort (up& down many steps), wait 30-40 min for a cable car down to the marina & wait another 30 min for a ferry to Palamino Island (beautiful) - you need to repeat the procees at the end of the day

Las Casitas Village is by far the best hotel that I have stayed in Puerto Rico. It is the only hotel with a real nice beach and plenty of activities. I stayed with my wife and two teenage children. We loved everything about this resort. We stayed in a one bedroom Casita perched on top of the cliff overlooking the ocean. We were on the top floor, third, with a million dollar ocean view. Our casita had a balcony in the front overlooking the ocean with a lounge chair and a dining table with f... Read more

Being someone who works in the customer service field I cannot say enough positive things about the trip that my friends and I took. To our butler Gilberto and the rest of the staff I'd like to say thank you. You made our trip less stressful, Gil. We are super appreciative of the assistance that you provided us. You were personable and made us feel at home. The pools and various places to eat were amazing as well. We stayed on the South end and had an amazing view over the water. The sunsets on ... Read more

Las casitas village was excellent and the staff were great. Had a minor problem with our 1 bedroom villa which we could have stayed through. Instead we were quickly offered a new villa so we would not have to deal with the minor problem. We accepted the other villa and made the move.

The room location overlooking the ocean was amazing. But the room furnishings were old and dirty. The best housekeeping would not have been able to make the rooms feel or look clean because many of the furnishings were run down and needed replacing.

My family absolutely loved this resort! We had an ocean view room and awoke to breathtaking views every day! The walks around the grounds of the resort were so very nice! I enjoyed the sounds of the birds, the beautiful gardens, views of the marina and Caribbean Sea from every location. We actually spent time at every pool at both resorts, although we were staying at Las Casitas Village. We ate dinner at the resort, nightly, and the food was deliciously and of course the cocktails were great! T... Read more

I registered for the CPA Society Convention. The hotel is in great shape, landscape is perfect. Service is outstanding. The hotel needs more lunch/dinner alternatives for every budget. Convention Center facilities are well maintained. Food at the convention was good (better than expected for a big group).

Before staying at the El Conquistador, my wife and I evaluated the Las Casitas. We couldn't quite tell the full differences from the web sites, so we decided to go visit while we were here. It is very clear from our visit that the 1+ bedroom villas at Las Casitas are superior rooms to the El Conquistador. The standard rooms/studios are also better rooms, but come without the kitchen and you could have a neighbor beside you or above you in the same unit. We'd recommend the 1+bedroom villas as... Stayed for CPA Convention. Huge hotel, with big variety of type of rooms. Has rooms near the marine; on a middle level near the marine; on "las Brisas" with good size rooms with beautiful view of the ocean and the little islands around; "las vistas" smaller rooms near the convention area with view either to the sea or to the golf course (which also have view to the other side of the sea since the hotel is located in a corner of the island (has ocean view on two sides); and "las Casitas", which... This hotel has been in operation for more than 4 decades and probably there are room areas that look a bit old. Remodeling or even a little paint would be nice. But there are a lot of things to entertain yourself in the hotel and near the hotel. Thats what makes a hotel great to stay. This is a good hotel for those seeking outdoor adventure too.

We can't stress enough how much much we enjoy this unbelievable place in the island. This was our 6 or 7th time that we get to stay in Las Casitas. Again, for our wedding anniversary celebration. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My view was overwhelmingly beautiful. The food from room service was superb. Palomino island is heavenly, as is the private infinity pool for Casitas guests. I have stayed at El Conquistador twice. The upgrade to Las Casitas is worth the money. I had a wonderful stay.

The rooms and the hotel are run down. Staff was fair. Food horrible. I can't imagine letting a friend or family member stay there> I would not even send an enemy there.

Reserved one close to the hotel but was given one on the farthest corners because the hotel decided to sell the 3 room casitas individually and have more reservations. Not cool since we were with 2 kids in a stroller. Then the room didn't have Wifi or cable. Service was requested but never received. A lot of times you hear that it's the people that make the resort, in the case of Las Casitas Village, it's the employees who prevent the resort from being all that it could be. If they were given the opportunity to offer sub-par service, they did. Palomino island seems like a great idea, and is the primary reason we booked at this resort. What is missing in the description is that you will spend half of your time waiting for or riding on, the ferry. We waited for 20 minutes for the ferry to ar... Read more

With all of the information here about the resort, you might think that in reading through it one would have an idea of what to expect and plan appropriately. Overall a beautiful hotel with lots of pools and the island to go to. However, the pool and island serve staff was very busy and they did not offer the best service. We will be back only if we get a good room rate. It is a good price point for the $200 a day hotel but definitely not worth it if you are paying beyond that price.

Although the unique location and spectacular views still make this place enjoyable, the rest of the amenities, food, run down facilities, and overpricing do not make up for the views. The location is also far from the airport so long to travel. The hotel may have been amazing years ago but over the past I feel they have let it slide and have not maintained it well. It certainly does not meet Waldorf Astoria criteria.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Our casita was huge with really two separate apartments upstairs and down so my parents could make their decaf coffee upstairs and we could have our regular coffee in the bigger kitchen downstairs. The water park is small, so we paid less for just the 2nd half of the day there, which was perfect. Our dishes were clean and put away when we came back each day. It was top service.

The facility is nice but getting tired in certain areas. The beach needs work and upgrading but is adequate. The pools are very good but there is a charge for the water park which is out of line given the facility overall price.
