My wife and I stayed last week for two nights prior to getting on our cruise. The people were great, the hotel was simple but nice. Reasonable price and not one of the big chains, which are very expensive. The biggest problem was the musty smell in the room. If you have a sensitive nose at all, it might not work for you. Everything else was great and there is a fabulous restaurant just around the corner. Beautiful roof top lounge area.

I gave the hotel a 3 star rating because it is an extremely basic hotel. However, I cannot fault the staff as they were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about ten minutes taxi ride from the airport and again to the cruise-port next morning. They do not do a shuttle but taxi was $20. There were plenty eating establishments in the same street which is good since there was no restaurant in the hotel. The room was so basic! The bed was hard as were the pillows. We did not need to unpack anyth... Read more

We were pricing places to stay when in San Juan. Hotel Miramar wasn't the lowest price (more in the middle) but was far from the top. Our travel agent didn't know much about the spot, so we depend on TripAdvisor and booked. The time we arrived and walked in it was about 900 PM and we were greeted by Mark who was at the desk and just made us feel like we were arriving home. The room was nice and big. ( nothing fancy but clean). We do not have coffee in the room, but that all that we are mi... Read more

I booked this hotel without research because I just wanted a place near old San Juan and I already new Miramar is pretty close. When we arrived the staff was really nice and I fell in love with the fact that it was a small hotel and it had a gothic chapel next to it. My husband who is a really light sleeper had to buy a pillow because he found them quite hard. I did not have any problems with the pillows because mine where just how I like them, but if you like fluffy pillows you should bring you... Read more

Hotels in San Juan are expensive, especially during high season like X-mas/New Year. We looked at several other hotels. Since we were to spend 5 nights in the area, we looked for something in the less expensive range. Hotels on the beach in Condado and Isla Verde, and in old San Juan, was 3 times more expensive than Hotel Miramar. So in that perspective we felt that Miramar was really value for money. The hotel is within walking distance to the beaches, hotels and nightlife in Condando. Takes... Read more

We spent 4 days at the Miramar Hotel--two days before our cruise and 2 days after the cruise. We booked through our travel company and got reasonable rates. Brian Molina helped us when we arrived and we got a wonderful room. It was spacious, very clean, and newly remodeled. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. Both Magaly Swift and Ismael Rodriquez were wonderful. They helped us with all of the questions and concerns we had during our stay and made our 4 days there very enjoyable. ... Read more

We were looking for a place to stay for one night before our South Caribbean Cruise with NCL, and found out that the cruise ship port for NCL is the Pan American Terminal which is not the one close to Old San Juan, but the one across the Old San Juan harbor. So we found this hotel, which is strategically located at the fork between the roads going to Old San Juan or Miramar. Checking in around 3:00 pm was no problem, the lobby was small, but the staff was very friendly. The room was nice, clean... Read more

First time actually booking a hotel through Trip Advisor. Very happy I did, couldn't be easier. The hotel Miramar is a cute little hotel in downtown San Juan. Very friendly front desk staff got us checked in right away. Very clean room with plenty of room. The bathroom is a little tight on space but that's OK. Nice bistro down stairs with great coffee and a good dinner menu. We didn't use the exercise room or rooftop patio so can't comment on those. But when we come back to Puerto Rico and we ... Read more

Small boutique hotel with nice sized rooms and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Best stay we could have asked for. Nice little restaurant also with friendly staff. They stored our luggage so we could sightsee before getting on the cruise ship. Will stay here again!

We stayed twice at the Miramar on either side of a cruise. The room was spacious and the bed as comfortable. The rooms have a fridge and a microwave although there were no bowls or plates to use in the microwave which severely limited how useful it was. The location is good with several restaurants and a supermarket close by. There is a rooftop area which is pleasant with tables and a seating area and good views. The only downside we had was that in a room away from the lift at the end of t... Read more
