My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights towards the end of May to discover the delights of Porto. We arrived 5 hours before check-in but they still gave us a lovely room at no extra cost. The lady on reception was very polite and welcoming, as were all staff at this very clean and smart hotel. The room was perfectly adequate; good size, clean and quiet and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The Restaurant surpassed all expectations; the service was very good and the Sea Menu we chose incl... Read more

I stayed at this hotel during a business conference, and had a very comfortable deluxe room on 14th floor. The hotel is very nice overall, with very friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was better than most. One of the best things about this hotel is that you get a high-class experience for a very reasonable price. Location is not too bad, although there a bit of a walk to the historic center. Then again, taxis in Porto are also very reasonably priced too.

Although the hotel has big rooms, with comfortable beds, the service in the restaurant is almost rude. The personnel is not smiling and many times look at you with an impolite way. Their behavior is not at all professional. In addition to that, in the breakfast you have to pay if you want fried eggs or omelette or espresso coffee. For salad they serve whole tomatoes and nothing else and the boiled eggs are cold. The position is good. Near the bus station and you spend 5-7 euro to go by taxi from... Read more

My rating of the hotel would vary dependent on whether I was staying for business or leisure. It is a very good business-stay hotel, but average for leisure. The pros of the hotel: - Friendly, helpful staff - The rooms are very clean, large (for a European city), and very well maintained. - The beds are comfortable with a choice of pillow hardness - The room was quiet, despite being opposite the elevators (normally a terrible place to be) - The room has plenty of work space, and free wifi - Th... Stayed for 6 nights whilst on a city break in Porto with my partner. Hotel is not the prettiest from the outside but looks great inside. Our room/suite was modern, well equipped, spacious and was cleaned to a high standard each day. The bed was one of the most comfy i've ever slept in. The service level from the friendly staff was excellent throughout the hotel. Nice bar area with good drinks selection breakfast and was very good. It's not that close to Porto centre but Taxis are very cheap and... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights for city break in Porto. We found all the staff friendly and helpful - went out of the way to be of assistance. Room very clean and comfortable. Location was further out of city centre than we had realised when booking but we made use of good bus service to Porto centre (c.15 mins) and to the beach in the opposite direction - cheap and quite rapid. Fitness centre was good - well equipped and empty when we used it. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, nice looking and had very comfortable beds. Porto wine at check in is a nice welcome drink. Continental breakfast has a wide variety of options. Location not the best, but still close to the downtown (15 minutes by bus from a bus stop just across the street). Staff showed us on a map important landmarks and booked us a premium tour in Graham's winery free of charge (which would normally cost you 15? per person) - not sure if a standard p... Read more

We stayed at this hotel 02 October for 4 nights, we were very lucky with the weather, bright blue skies and quite warm throughout, take a coat for the evening though. The hotel is ideally situated from the Airport, but not for the attractions on the river or the Ribera area or the city centre. The taxis are very swift by pressing a request button in the lobby, however, this is not their fault it can be costly due to the amount of time it takes you to get through what seems an all day rush ho... Outstanding quality and service for all aspects of this hotel, The rooms were clean, great quality and the breakfasts offered good choice and were well presented. The front desk service was the best that we've experienced in many countries.

My wife and I together with a group of twenty friends stayed in this fantastic hotel for three nights from 6th to 8th October. During this time we had a wonderful experience of what a real comfort can be. Starting from the moment of our arrival, our luggage were handled swiftly and and we found them waiting for us at the doors of our rooms. The staff at the reception desk and at the guests service were extremely efficient .My thanks and appreciation goes to Rafaela who helped me checking in o... Read more

This is a very quiet location, even with 4 windows open, I had no trouble sleeping. The room is really very, very nice! Lots of seating, great pillows. I did have a little trouble getting hot water in the afternoon for a shower but morning water temperatures are excellent. The breakfast buffet is above lacks an omelet station, and sometimes getting coffee refills requires a bit of patience.

The hotel is good with the usual amenities like a restaurant and a gift shop. Wifi at the hotel was stable with good speed. Rooms were nice and staff friendly. Restaurant had good breakfast but nothing extraordinary except for a really nice tasting fresh pressed juice. The only disappointment was the gym which was a few treadmills and some machines but lacking the equipment for a full body workout, however it was clean and fresh and open 24/7.

We stayed for 3 nights as part of a deal I had booked. We were very impressed as soon as we pulled up at the hotel. The elderly male receptionist was rather grumpy when we checked in, but our room wasn't ready so we went out for the day.On our return we were greeted by another male receptionist who was quite the opposite. He was warm, welcoming and friendly. He made eye contact, conversation and proffered lots of information without being asked. We were given a complimentary glass of port, and a... Read more

My wife came to Porto to participate in a conference and I explored the city. The hotel is located 10 min walk from "Casa du Musica" metro station (or 7 Euro taxi drive) where you can buy 3 day / 1 day ticket and connect to all lines. Across the street from the hotel there is a bus station (line 201) to the old part of the city. Breakfast is very good. The wifi service at the rooms is fast and free (I'm IHG member). Total experience was very good.

Stayed recently for three nights at the Crowne Plaza and found the biggest plus point toe the size and comfort of the rooms. The bed was one of the largest and most comfortable we have experienced in a hotel. The location is not the greatest being a fair distance from the old town. However the local bus stops right outside the hotel and a 12 minute ride to the centre of the old town costs a mere ?1.65. The breakfast was a disappointment. I expected much better quality at a 5 star hotel.

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely city break in Porto staying at the Crowne Plaza. We had a huge Junior Suite on the 12th floor which was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious although a little more expensive than other local restaurants. Breakfast is well organised with plenty of fresh fruit and other items. The hotel arranged a Port tour at Churchill's which we really enjoyed. The bus stop opposite the hotel takes you... Read more

We were a bit concerned that the hotel is slightly out of town but there are regular buses, ask reception about getting bus/metro tickets as it is a bit convoluted,.There is also a bus that takes you N. to the coastal town of Matosinhos where there is a fish market and fantastic, reasonably priced fish restaurants. We had a junior suite, the bed was big and comfy the bathroom had a decent sized bath and was very clean. The Breakfast buffet had a good choice of hot and cold the coffee was better tha... Read more

Stayed here for 3 night as part of a Fleetway Package. This is a good hotel. Superb, large rooms, a safe, fast wifi, outstanding room service. Excellent TV- even managed to watch International Rugby one evening. Breakfast was outstanding. Plenty of good quality food in great variety. Also had an evening meal which was of high quality even though it was rather "fussy"- I prefer good solid food rather than flavoured lettuce ! but although expensive, it was tasty and filling. There was a little... Read more
