This aparthotel has very good quality-price relationship. Our room/apartment was big enough, the kitchen was well furnished and there's nothing like having your breakfast looking at the amazing view the terraces offer. Praia da Rocha and Praia do Vau are within walking distance. But... The bathroom really needs to be renovated, and the wi-fi signal to be stronger in the bedrooms: everybody was just sitting all the time in the lounge because it was the only spot where the wi-fi actually worked. ... We stayed here while going to a family wedding. We had the 2 bed apartment. This was a great hotel and because it was early season it was not too busy. The grounds were kept well and the facilities were good. The only thing which would have been nice was if the outside pool was heated as we could not use this as it was too cold. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again

We stayed here for 10 days. The location was great for us, quiet as it is away from the main strip, but a short (5 min) journey by car. The hotel had good facilities and the rooms were quite nice. We had an issue with the room we were initially given (unfortunately this also had the best view over the coast) and were moved immediately to another room. The staff were full of suggestions and recommendations for things to do, and were great in helping us book excursions.

Room was spacious and mainly clean and well maintained, well equipped (few hairs and fluff on bathroom floor and balcony). Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. It suited our needs as we did not want to be in the centre. Would recommend hiring a car to enable you to explore this beautiful area. The only downside, the restaurant menu was poor, but then so many hotels menus are, so no real surprise.

We stayed at estrela do vau two summers in a row, it'slocation, facilities and pools made it very convenient to us. We traveled with a child with learning difficulties and the resort was perfect as it was pretty quiet, family orientated and extremely friendly. It's not a luxury aparthotel but you can expect cleanliness, great attentive staff and pretty much all you need to make a great holiday stay. We chose the half board option, the buffet style food is plentiful, with something to please ever... Read more

My husband and daughter and I stayed in this hotel, for 10 days, have to say, we loved it, it had it all for a relaxing stay. I would return, perhaps, would have liked a higher floor, but then doubt if there would have been any issue, if we asked. A little walk away from the main beach, near a very small beautiful beach and lovely walk to the remainder. The staff here, were very nice, and I really need to mention, the beautiful smiling, dark long haired girl in the restaurant overseeing break... Read more

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Furnishing is not as much new but all the walls are recently painted and the apartment is very big. Kitchen is all equiped. About cleaning, nothing to say. We liked very much the pool area. Water was very clean, included the kids pool. In the restaurant, we had very nice and assorted buffets. At the bar, nice atmosphere, nice music and kind bar staff. Animation every night there. They have kids club too. Free wifi in the lobby, restaurant and bar. We really... Read more

The sun was on the balcony from late afternoon so lovely to have a meal or a drink on the balcony mid evening . Beautiful beach very near, worth a visit! Wifi in lobby which is good for some timeout of the sunshine. Tennis available, swing & slide for children. Sports bar at night. Didn't eat on site! So no comment. Small pricy shop at apartments. Run down and staff very unhelpful. Bar had only a limited amount of drink as they told us they only get deliveries now and again. Food is only fair in the complex and would not advise anyone to eat here. Evening entertainment was very limited. Fountain in the front of the complex was emptied, When we asked was it broken cleaning staff told us it was more than likely emptied to safe money. When we stayed here before it made the complex look well when you entered the gate. A big let down as we hav... Read more

Spacious apartments, 3 swimming pools and some entertainment at night, makes for a great family holiday. We all enjoyed the holiday and the pools were a huge hit with the kids (aged 5 & 11). Staff were very friendly and the apartment was cleaned every day. Snack bar did some great food - but the hotel restaurant food was disappointing, tried once and it was overpriced and not great. We had a week in Estrela do Vau: First day, we had to wait for 3½ hours for our room, which we finally got at 5 pm. The cleaning: Even though we were out playing golf all day from 8 am to 4 pm, the "cleaning" never appeared until 6 pm. "You want cleaning??" they asked, hoping we would say no as this late point of time. We said yes every day, but it didn't really make a difference. There is no wifi in the rooms, we had to wait 3 days to get a tv in our room, the bar is not good entertainment wise and the food in the bar is ridiculously over prised with very few choices along with the breakfast being very poor. Gym is also inadequate This is in my opinion not a 4 star hotel but on the plus side I would consider staying again

Only on the 5th night was the offer on another apartment made but finally by 1830hrs the hot water was fixed.
