Booked into the Tivoli Marina at short notice for 6 nights for myself husband and two teenage boys. Accommodation was brilliant, large double room, kitchenette and dining area, Sofa with roll out bed which was ample for even my 14 year old who is 6ft tall. Everywhere was so clean and we could have drowned in the amount of luxurious fluffy white towels we were provided with. We opted for the breakfast in the restaurant which was help yourself buffet. We stayed at this resort during a conference. The rooms are very reasonable, ensuite bathroom ok and the bed comfortable. The rooms we had were separate from the main block and breakfast was served there. There was too little seating at breakfast for all of us staying in the block. Overall OK but I wouldn't return with my family.

Amazing location. Fanatistic views. Staff great. The only issue was the steps to get up to the main strip but that is not the hotels fault. The breakfast was amazing. Pool wasn't heated and on the days when it wasn't the warmest my baby wouldn't go into the pool but it was fine for adults.

The staff are very friendly and paid special attention to our one year old which was really nice to see. We stayed in a marina deluxe deck apartment. Very noisy rooms, couldn't have one single night of good sleep. We have booked 3 rooms they were all very comfortable and spacious but the noise and lack of a good night of sleep ruined our holidays. Don't waste your time and money here. Staff were friendly and tried to apologize but the hotel rooms were built on a very bad proximity. And if you are at the first floor, pray for your neighbors not to roll any strollers at night or in the morning.

We found lots of changes since our last visit 30 years ago! Gone is the tiny harbour with fishing boats tied up next to small cafés with grills on the dockside. Now we have to walk down to sardine restaurants in sheds. Cold and isolated. The sardines aren't gutted any more - yuk!

A very nice hotel in a great holiday location with good amenities. Lots of positives. Two negatives were an inefficient check in process which ended up with us being neglected as more demanding guests got their rooms. The check in person did apologise. The only really bad thing was an apparently overworked housekeeping service. Every day we had to ask for our room to be cleaned and I suspect if we didn't ask it wouldn't have been done despite daily cleaning being promised.

This is a great hotel, I was particularly impressed by the staff. They're fantastic and deserve to be commended for their professionalism and friendliness. The studio's and apartments are clean and comfortable with nice views of either the marina or the pool. The breakfast was great with a good selection of hot and cold food. We particularly enjoyed the outside areas to the side of the restaurant, great for an evening/night time night drink looking out across the water towards the villages o... Read more

We travelled at the end of August Beautiful apart/hotel , we opted for an apartment with a roof deck which is well worth the extra money, stunning Marina view , extremely spacious and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, brilliant breakfast with stunning views from the dining room. Well worth becoming a discovery member before you book in, we had free wifi and newspapers with free bottled water on arrival with the discovery card. Would definitely return again.. !!

Placed in the Portimao Marina the Tivoli Marina offers a perfect spot for a relaxing holiday at Portugal's Algarve coast. There's a salt water pool and Praia da Rocha is a 5 min walk away. This place has everything you need, nice, cosy rooms with either a small porch or a balcony so you can spend the nights sitting outside. The breakfast buffet is amazingly rich and delicious and you can choose from a full English breakfast over omelettes, waffles etc. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchen... Read more

We stayed in this place to be close to the beach, but we got so much more we could bargain for, the restaurants were all close and fantastic for a night or even day courses. You have path tracks, so you can explore what the city has to offer, and activities, like being in a pirate ship for a day will make you live a crazy and adventurous experience, which gonna make you come back for more. All the best!!

We were very pleased with the quality of this hotel which is located in a lovely marina complex. It was about a 15 minute walk to the great beach at Paris Da Roche but another 10 minutes to the main bars. The room was kept very clean and had everything we needed, even a small cooking area. The TV had several English language channels which was good too. My only criticisms would be that the beds were pretty hard and the pool, although very relaxing, would have benefited from some better and loude... Read more

Just returned from a week stay at Tivoli Marina Portimao. Hotel was excellent, the hotel had quiet and chilled by the pool, loads of loungers. Pool bar was great and the chicken wings were a favourite. The location was amazing, located in the marina so close to the beach and restaurants and bars. Definitely the best beach location holiday we have had.

my mother is elderly and we weren't told before booking how many steps up to the 2 bed apartment. On check out when we tried to phone for a buggy there was no answer at reception and we were being picked up by taxi so we had to bring the 2 cases down the stairs by ourselves. Your staff were very polite and friendly, the room and the entire area was spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was incredibly good. A/C was perfect and worked wonderful. Incredible views front and back.

We had a great time with our 1 year old daughter. We don't like the big skyscraper hotels so we really loved the small houses so closed to the beautyful big beach. The stay was almost perfect. Only 3 things were not that great: nobody at the reception desk was able to tell us, where there is the next supermarket or where the little train stops, the playground was closed the whole 2 weeks and there was a bad smell outside in the early morning hours.
