A wonderfull hotel with an excellent view. Despite the the "Marginal" road that is always full of cars, the place is really quiet. Great staff. The Spa is a bit small. Rooms very comfortable and quite big. The restaurant is a bit expensive for the type of food...

The hotel is located in Paco de Arcos, a quaint fisherman's village a short car or train's ride from central Lisbon. I lived in Paco de Arcos for most of my life and now that I live abroad this hotel was the obvious option to stay at. And I was not disappointed. The hotel is a converted palace so part of the hotel is old (but renovated) and the other side is a new construction. It has some character, for instance the little chapel I had to walk through to get to my room. To room was much larger ... Read more

The hotel is very nice with modern, spacious room and great breakfast. The ocean view from our third floor room was awesome and the staff were friendly. The outdoor swimming pool was big and quiet although I found the indoor pool and sauna got little too crowded for my comfort. The thing I did not like was the time it took to get to the downtown Lisbon area. I read so many reviews before booking this hotel. While it is true it takes around 20 minutes by train, that's if you are lucky to catc... Read more

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The room was modern, very comfortable and had a terrace with a view of the pool area and the ocean. The service was excellent. Our check-in included a tour of the old restored section including the chapel which has been integrated into the hotel. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Arrived late - check in, no problems. Quick taxi ride from the airport. Staff took time, even though it was late, to show us some of the hotel facilities. Indoor pool was lovely, with a relaxing sauna and steam room. Fresh towels, immaculate grounds...paradise. Outdoor pool is wonderful, and you can see the ocean peeking through the palm trees. The hotel is a great location away from the city with the option to visit Lisbon or travel by train to Cascais. Great train connections - station just... Read more

My husband and I visited here for a week and had a great relaxing time. It's peaceful, and luxurious, right on the coast and the staff are very attentive and look after you. Part of the building is a renovated 15th Century palace and has real character. We told them it was our 25th wedding anniversary and they left some sparkling wine on ice and chocolates in our room on our arrival which made us feel special. The breakfast buffet which was included was fabulous and included sparking wine, and t... Read more

Made to feel very welcome and perfect for young family. The actual village is a little quiet and the nearby beach is small but you're only short train trips to Lisbon and Cascais. We also went to Sintra which is worth a trip. Lisbon hasn't many great landmarks as such but it's still nice for a wander. Teenagers would probably find the hotel too quiet but the food and overall service cannot be faulted.

We spent a week in this hotel, first time in Portugal and will be back definitely. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional - ready to assist at any time. Outdoor pool is a a main "meeting point: for almost all visitors. Location is also good - almost half way from Lisbon to Cascais. One can access both destinations easily by train or taxi. Food in the hotel is good, but in a walking distance there are few Portuguese and International restaurants with excellent food, wine and service that ... Read more

We spent five lovely days here. Great rooms that were super quiet dispite the coastal road which is quite close. The breakfast was excellent and there are great restaurants close by if you get tired of the hotel food. Can't wait to come back. Also the train station is very close to go to Lisbon.

The building is great with its' mixture of ancient and modern. The room was lovely and big with all mod cons and a lovely balcony. The decor however was oppressive with too much dark brown and an absence of any real colour. The staff were all helpful and attentive. The downside was finding anyone to serve in the bar during the evenings. The pool was lovely but lacked any real consideration of towel use. We had to go to the spa to get a towel after the ones laid out in the morning had been used... Read more
