Booked this hotel in November, got called today 2 weeks before arrival to say they overbooked and are moving us to Aerporto Hotel. Gutted as we booked this place to be close to the oceanario. Apparently this happens quite a lot! Thoroughly disappointed as if we wanted a cheaper hotel that was further away we would have booked it back in November!!!

A functional hotel in very useful location - close to airport and metro. Room safe not working first day, but was fixed after a couple requests. Hotel staff very friendly and respectful. Nice lobby area where one can meet with friends.

Stayed here for 3 nights for a business conference nearby at the Meo Arena. Handy location. Pleasant room, well serviced. WiFi worked ok. Lifts very slow. Reasonable self-service breakfast. Bar staff slow to attend, a bit surly. Reception staff pleasant, but often distracted.

We came to Lisbon to attend a concert at the MEO arena and the hotel was perfectly situated for that. Its clean and functional with polite staff. Perfect for what we needed. If I was however coming to see Lisbon there are more central options

I spent 9 nights here on business, the hotel staff were polite and friendly, found the lifts to be slow as there were only 2, the wifi also seemed on the slow side. However, that aside the breakfast was good, well maintained and attentive staff. The room I had was large facing the station but no issues with noise. Would recommend.

We arrived exhausted, very late at night having had many delays on our journey. We were given a very warm welcome by staff, and check in was quick and straight forward. We were given lots of information on where to eat out which made things much easier for us during our short stay. After having spent the previous week on an intense business trip, our intention was to relax and we definitely fulfilled that!! Beautiful large room, beautiful large bed, fantastic views from the 16th floor, and wo... Read more

Centrally located, the facilities and the room are pretty average. The bathroom especially could be cleaner and needs renovation. On the other side, staff is friendly and that counts at the positives. Breakfast is just OK in terms of variety; tastes though are good.

Was sent to this hotel on business as it was near my place of work for the check in was smooth and efficient. Room was smart with safe and free wifi. Bar shut a bit early for my liking at midnight but was a pleasant area to relax. Breakfast was decent enough however only 2 lifts for 18 odd floors can get a bit congested during peak hours

I shall start this review by setting a scene of how unlikely it is to come across rudeness in Portugal. This is a beautiful country with the friendliest most genuine people. If a hotel employs rude restaurant staff, then the hotel has managed to find a very very rare breed of individuals to represent the brand. I was brought here after my flight was cancelled. I'd spent 6 hours standing and queuing in the airport and was finally brought here after 11pm. Reception staff were friendly and accommo... Read more

I was at this hotel for one night for business. My colleagues told me it was in a good location (near a major shopping centre), but to be careful (it's near a major train station). Then I checked in and decided to take a shower. The shower had a nearly floor to ceiling view.... of the train tracks and apartments nearby! But that's not all folks: the shower had this window blind that you could see through. So if I could see through it, the people outside could see me showering! Maybe they had r... Read more

It's the seconde time I stayed in this hotel for a business trip and the experience continues to be a good one. Very good localization, rooms are clean and nice and the breakfast is very complete. Staff is helpful but they should smile more.

Very pleasant staff, comfortable quiet room. Next to train station, and only ?10 in a taxi to anywhere important. I walked to Barrio Alto from here. Trust me, take a taxi ?. The is a food court in the shopping centre across the road to the right. Very convenient.

Modern and functional hotel in the very lively area of the former Expo '98 (a surprise compared with the always beautiful, but rather old-fashioned Lisbon), far from the center but very well connected (a few steps from train-subway station). The visit of the zone is highly recommended, especially if you know well old Lisbon. About the rooms: all are okay, but if you doubt between choosing one with "river view" or one with "expo view," no problem: unless you are in one of the very upper floors, ... Read more

The location of the hotel is perfect. Next to a train station and a metro station. It is 3 stops from the airport. It has a taxi place and a mall (open till midnight). The hotel is very clean with large rooms and a very descent breakfast. Even if this was a business trip, I would choose it for vacation too.

We stayed in the Tryp Oriente as we went to the Superbock Superrock Festival at the Parque das Nações, which is literally just over the road. The hotel itself is modern (as most of the area) and light with very friendly staff. We booked a "city view" room, which meant we faced the street (rather than the train tracks) and could even see the river from our window. Rooms are spacious and clean with a comfy bed and a very quiet but pretty efficient air con. Shower has a rain shower head as well... Read more

The best point regarding this hotel is the location near the large Oriente Railway station making it easy to get to downtown Lisbon. By the railway station is a large shopping centre with an excellent supermarket, there are also a good number of restaurants on the same street and down by the waterfront. It is about 10 mins from Lisbon airport. So again convenient. Otherwise the hotel is just an average business hotel, modern, clean but average with average service. Breakfast iin the café wa... My husband and I booked a room in this hotel for the last few days of our honeymoon and we couldn't of made a better choice! From the moment we stepped in the staff were lovely and we were given a room on the top floor with the best views and complimentary fizz and fruit platter. The breakfast was brilliant with several vegan options including soya milk which was a real bonus for me! The hotel is only 3 metro stops from the airport and although it isn't in the town centre the beautiful Oriente t... Read more

We only stayed here because TAP cancelled our flight. It was near the airport, near the Oriente station and shopping center. The room was brand new, and had a bunker bed for the kids which turned our stay a little bit more fun. Breakfast included made it easy since our new flight was early in the morning.

Booked as we were going to a concert at the Meo arena and would certainly do so again as very close to the venue. Our room was on the 15th floor facing the sea and so it had a great view. Booked a double but was given two singles pushed together and made up separately. Not ideal but otherwise a nice, clean, comfortable room. Good choice at breakfast. Two things to improve, more staff at check-in to avoid a tedious wait and a bar that shuts beyond midnight.

The Tryp Hotel Lisboa is a typical business hotel near Parque des Nações, the service is professional and efficient, rooms are clean and spacious. Additional the breakfast is good and sufficient. There is a Metro station some 10 minutes walk from the hotel to get a ride to the city center.

We were on a family room. The kids got a bunk bed, which was far better than a day-bed from other hotels. As for the breakfast, the problem was not the quality, but the service, to few employees for the quantity of tables and the expected quality at a 4 stars hotel.

I normally stay at Melia group hotels as I am a Silver member of their rewards programme. In Lisbon, this included the Tryp Aeroporto and the Tryp Oriente. I have stayed in both over the course of a week in August 2016. When we arrived to Tryp Oriente, around 6pm and there were 4 people ahead of us to check in. There was only one lady at the reception desk (despite being 3 actual desks at reception). To be noted that I had already checked us in online (via Melia Rewards website which allows you ... We arrived on the last week of august and we were given a room on 11th floor for 3 nights. The room had a a very bad smell of cigarettes, the bathtub was clogged and there were cracks in many places. Maybe in a hostel you can tolerate this, but not in a 4 stars hotel. We left the room for a walk and we left the windows open to see if the smell would go away... but it didn't. We called the reception to find out a solution. The person excused for the inconvenience and immediately offered another r... Read more

This is your basic business hotel with standard amenities (and not a lot of character but again, this is a business hotel). We stayed for 1 night as we were taking a train to Porto the following morning. Train station is adjacent to the hotel so the hotel is very conveniently located to the train station. (Hotel is reasonably quiet given its location.) Would only recommend this hotel if one is doing business in the area or taking the train. Also, upon arrival, there was only 1 person at the... I chose this hotel as my flight was arriving at midnight & I was catching an early train to Aveiro next day. The hotel overlooks Oriente station. This means it's a quick & cheap metro trip from the airport & it's easy to find if you arrive bleary eyed late at night. The staff were friendly but check in took longer than I'd have liked. There were 2 staff on the desk but for some reason it took ages to sort out the people in front of me. I was all paid for a quick check out but the 2 staff on the ... Read more

"Bloody tourists" is the title of an excellent album by the prog rock band 10CC. This title came to my mind when spending the night in this hotel. All went wel (apart from a desk that comes with just one power socket) until I tried to get breakfast. The joint referred to as "restaurant" was so overcrowded that I had to share a small table with a couple that appeared to be part of a large group of tourists. Maybe the hotel has also simplified breakfast in order to conserve costs, because breakfas... Read more
