We 19 people stayed in this property from 15th March till 18th March 2016. We were received with smile and every thing the room listing and keys were ready. It took us 3 minutes to make chekin for all 19 persons. Good efficient smiling staff. Our stay was very good our all requirements were met within no time. Best past was we were served early breakfast at 6 AM as we were check out. Though it was sandwich fruits and coffee but hotel made it for us. Thanks to staff of the hotel for wonderful ho... I chose this hotel because I could walk to the university - about 10 minutes, though up a very busy road - and into the city - which is, if I am honest, a walk of about 40-50 minutes away - too far for an evening, when you'll want to take a taxi! The hotel is comfortable and of a reasonable standard. Some things are missing - no tissues in the bedrooms - and some things don't work well - the air con is controlled centrally, and so it's not possible to sleep with a cool room (as I like to do). The fluky ventilation system in this hotel rendered our west side room very hot at night, with fans set at high. A terrific customer service gal saved us for the last 2 or 4 nights by changing our room. The rooms were very clean, functional and quiet- if care was taken to not let the bathroom door slam shut. The location is not far from Baixa-Chiado by metro, but a bit of a walk to get to the metro station. Another hotel we stayed at previously is at the heart of Lisbon tourist area and near ... Stayed for one night on work. Nice room, breakfast and bar service. Attention for the smoking rooms. All staff very professional and kind. Ideal for business not for romantic getaways. Near the center by car. All the necessary services exist.

The rooms are not really modern and walls are dirty. But I appreciated the comfort of the bed! Noisy because of traffic. Breakfast was ok but more fruit would be good. City is not really close and not in walking-distance. Zoo is close. Nice and well equipped gym. Sleep well...

A nice enough hotel. Could be a bit fresher. Rooms feel like they're a couple of year from looking run down. The lobby area is nice. Location is a bit outside the city but Lisbon feels like a small city in that way so it s ok.

On our visit to Lisbon and Spain this was our first stop. We were here for three nights. Metropolitan is a nice clean hotel with all amenities that a tourist would need. My only complaint with the room the AC was not cooling well it looked as if only the air unit was functioning and not the cooling if I kept the window open there was noise especially of landing planes as the hotel is near the airport which was disturbing. Was this a result of cost saving I am not sure. Breakfast had a good sp... Read more

The hotel is 4 km from the airport. Well structured, with comfort rooms and wide bathrooms. They have meetings rooms and options for all day meal. Try the "Pastel de Nata" when they have it for the sweet of the day. One of the best in town.

Hotel appears a but tired from the outside, but is very nice inside. Super friendly and helpful staff and very bubbly PR people. Rooms are simple, but clean. Very reasonable for the pricing. Located a long way out of town. Even the train station was a bit of a hike (1km minimum). Luckily the weather is good, so it's not so bad. Some people hang around the surrounding streets and it is a but of an opportunistic place for crime - be careful! But, overall, an ok place to stay. Great for the p... Read more

In Lisbon for a conference, I booked a room at this hotel of the Sana chain. It is an honest hotel, probably without some services that would be appropriate in a 4 stars (SPA, swimming pool, gymn...). But the rooms are quite spacious, clean and quiet (at least on the sixth floor); the buffet breakfast is of a good standard. Not perfectly connected to downtown (2 metro stations about 15 minutes away).

The hotel was huge and very niceasy inside and out - I found it central to areas as I taxied which was cheap as chips - staff are very helpful and go out of their way to ensure your stay was a good one. Not many restaurants in the vicinity and I didn't try the on-site one - did order room service which was a bit of a let down and meat not cooked throughly and food was warm - but edible except the meat... I was on the 5th floor and by the motor way and it was still quiet as - rooms totally bla... Read more

I have stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. It is large and modern hotel, wide spaces and good conference area. Staff is extremely professional and kind. Rooms are nice and clean. I had a room on the 9th floor that looked over a very busy highway but it was not loud. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average and this kind of hotel should add a few things on the menu. Hotel is not situated in the center of the Lisbon so you can't walk to the points of interest. But, Lisbon has a good metro so y... Read more

We ended in this hotel because we booked late our vacations. We travel every year to Lisbon and we used to stay in a very simple and humble hotel with a gigantic hearth in the city center but this year they had not any vacancy for us for the high season, so, we change our humble hotel for this 4 star one and honestly We do not regret it at all. They did of our visit a fantastic experience, very nice people from the porter to the person who clean the room, Buffet for breakfast, gym with access 24... Read more

We got to the hotel late. We first got a room that was used!!! We then got a room with twin beds when we ordered a double. The window was facing the motorway so there was a lot of noise. We did not sleep well the first night. Also thin walls could hear the room next door. Hotwire stated that it is in the city center in the map when it was far far far away from the center. Basically we could hear every plane landing in Lisbon. Only good thing was assistant manager Macrco, who truly tried to help ... Read more

This is a good hotel, and I very much recommend it. It is cool, comfortable, and rather chic-looking, staffed by absolutely brilliant people. In fact, I want to thank them for all the effort they put into making my wife and my stay in Lisbon as pleasant as possible after a 29-hour trip from Africa, a coup in Turkey, and a laptop that died. They really went the extra mile for us, and we are very grateful. What excellent people. The rooms are pleasant, spacious, and the ones at the front have a... Read more

Pros: - Like the title says it. Very nice and helpful staff. Smooth and easy check-in and check-out. Being from the United State. A good portion of the staff can speak English and can answer most of our questions. - Breakfast was standard full breakfast. Good coffee. Decent amount of selections to eat. Although, the taste and quality was meh at best, but it was edible no trip to the emergency room or emergency bathroom. - Have outlet adapters. So U.S. visitors if you need a converter fo... The hotel is quite outside the centre of Lisbon, so expect a cab ride or public transport, to get downtown. The rooms are clean, if a little dated. Not many of the amenities that you'd get in more modern hotels. Staff are all very polite and friendly. I'd not put anyone off staying here, though if you like a modern and gleaming hotel, then maybe it's not for you.

We were transferred to this hotel after a mix up in a booking. This is a large very busy hotel that is outside Lisbon center and not very convenient to the Metro. The first room we were assigned to had an odor, we asked the front desk to be moved and after it was checked out by the doorman who concurred, we were moved to another room. This room was fine. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good with plenty of room to sit. The hotel has two or three tour buses staying there each night so... Read more

Stranded here by Air Portugal. Hotel, taxi and buffet dinner compliments of the airline for their delays. It's ok, modern, clean mainstream hotel. Room was spotlessly clean, good shower. No problems with the free wifi and my room on the 9th floor was quiet. Evening meal was a buffet offering plentiful fresh salad with lamb chops. Dessert was fresh fruit. Very average but nice and fresh. Ok for an overnight stay or business. It wouldn't be my choice for a tourist visit to Lisbon.

Sana Metropolitan is a classic 4 star hotel. The rooms and the hotel is relatively comfortable and service is decent. My room was clean but as far as hotel rooms go, very standart in every way. One should not expect much personality with regards to decoration / character of the room. The room came with a kettle for water and tea. Sadly no coffee, even instant coffee variety would have been appreciated. Hotel has smokers floors, which as a smoker, I appreciate. I also appreciate that at no point ... Read more
