Our rom, 303, was perfect. Besides being comfortable, it has a beautiful view that can be enjoyed from the room or terrace. The attentive staff enhanced our visit. This is a small boutique hotel that made us feel welcome in every way. WiFi worked great and we liked the buffet breakfast. If you like big lobbies, gyms and pools, this is not it. Note: You will have to walk up and down cobbled streets and it can be streneous at times.

My wife and first stayed here 12 years ago on our honeymoon. We made a stopover in Lisbon and decided to come back to the Olissipo. It was still great! Shawn, Ines, Rui, and the barman were all excellent hosts. They all are passionate about Lisbon, the hotel, and making sure our stay was great. Their knowledge of the city and Portugal was excellent. The hotel has a nice position on top of hill by the Sant Jorge castle with great views. It should be a bout an 18 Euro cab ride from the airpo... Read more

Incredibly happy with the hotel! Location is wonderful! The rooms were spacious! The balcony had incredible views. The staff was top notch! They were accommodating and let us check in early. They provide bathrobes and slippers for each guest. They gave us great tips for restaurants. They provided us a map of the area and took the time to explain how to get to our destination without having to take a taxi. My only regret is not getting to stay longer!

The hotel's staff were very cheerful and informative. [Joao, Ines and Gois] They insured that our stay was enjoyable and our city excursions comprehensive. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. It was wonderful to be able to make our own coffee in the room. The breakfast buffet provided a great start to our day. The hotel's position, to visit the castle and city centre, was perfect.

This was our last stop in Europe, touring mostly Spain. We only had a few days in Lisbon but the staff, especially Ine's at the front desk helped us make the most of it with advice on eating where locals eat and short cuts to get around the hills, like where the hidden elevators are in town and where to walk to see the most and not get lost. Don't let the small street and graffiti on the building across the street make you think poorly on this hotel, it is first class all the way. Rooms are clea... Read more

We stayed 4 nights in this ideally located clean hotel in the old town Alfama District! The rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean! We asked reception for a kettle and were provided with with tea/coffee making facilities which was topped up daily. Rui on the front desk was excellent with advice on what to do and how to get there and we purchased our hop on hop off tickets at the desk which provide free public transport as well and proved to be excellent value. We would highly recommend ... Read more

An absolute gem in Lisbon. Situated on a hill close to the castle this hotel has breathtaking views of the city. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and always happy to help. Breakfast is good and has a choice of cereals, fruit, bread, ham and cheese and also a few cooked options are available. Our room had a real boutique feel and the views across Lisbon where simply stunning. I would definitely stay here again and feel it is a good choice for a stay in this beautiful city.

This is deep in atmospheric Alfama, a stone's throw from the Castello. Rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. Reception are hugely helpful and knowledgeable. They directed us to great local restaurants, advised us on trams, provided parking, all with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Recommended.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, lovely rooms and a great breakfast. It could appear that this hotel is a little away from the centre, but in reality it is pretty close either walking or by tram (12 or 28). Do not be tempted to take the Aerobus from the airport, it does not stop close, the taxi was only 10 euros.
