We stayed one night in a wonderful room overlooking the little pool and the river. The room was beautifully decorated with such taste and elegance; I think that they had a wonderful interior designer. Breakfast was very good and it felt informal. Wonderful. The location is great: very central. We drove from the airport and the concierge parked our car. We found a bottle of port and pasteis de nata in our room as well. We would certainly stay there again.

I have just returned from a weekend in Lisbon, and the Memmo Alfama Hotel absolutely made the weekend. The hotel is hidden down a little cobbled street, which is just the beginning of the charm, once inside it has been beautifully designed with clever little taverns to sit and read your book, or have a glass of wine.. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is really relaxed and welcoming without being pretentious. The pool / terrace area was a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. I th... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and it was very well situated by the cathedral in Old Lisbon. The entrance is down a back alley and is very unassuming. The rooms are modern but small - lovely bathroom. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel provided us with a sparkling wine and home made brownies. There is no proper restaurant and breakfast is either at one long table or at scattered coffee tables. Service was erratic at breakfast. Beds comfy with beautiful linen.

We have just returned from a fantastic long weekend in Lisbon which was undoubtedly enhanced by the hotel and the superb customer service we received. Service: The fantastic service began before we even arrived when I called the day before worrying that the restaurants I had emailed to book in advance hadn't got back to me. The hotel (I now know it was Vitor) said not to worry, what did I want and he would sort. Both restaurants he booked for us were superb, though very different - Duetos da S... Read more

For destination this hotel is in a great spot. Alfama is a great part of Lisbon, with lots of great restaurants and bars a plenty. The hotel is tucked away off the main high street and is a good mix of old and contemporary decor. However for me personally, i like tea /coffee making facilities in a room along with an iron. This is a fantastic hotel in the most historic area of the city. Built over the town wall terraced in the side of a hill the views over Alfama and the Tagus are lovely. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the service is excellent. The rooftop terrace and pool are a spectacular place for breakfast in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The 28 tram goes past the end of the lane and you can easily walk all over the central area of the city from the hotel.

Our attic was spotless but not spacious, designed but not decadent, and indeed when described as small - that's exactly what it was. This didn't detract from our enjoyment at staying here. The roof top area makes for a great breakfast, sun lounging or evening drink space with great views. When you have spent a busy day in the streets of Lisbon its great to be up above the bustle. Only down side was its popularity with non-residents. During the afternoon and evening they can make reservations to... Read more

Perfectly located hotel in Alfama. Very nice design, amazing rooftop wine bar where you can also eat breakfast with a view. Very nice staff. A big advantage-valet parking. One advice-avoid rooms on 3rd floor, although they are cosy, the have a really small window due to the fact its last floor of tenement house. Will definitely come back here.

This is a truly delightful hotel. It is tucked away in a quiet alley but only a short(ish) walk into the centre and an easy cab ride. The views from our room which overlooked the bar area were magnificent. Our room was clean bright modern and very comfortable. Breakfasts (whether on the terrace or in the dining room) are very nice- usual range of fruit yoghurt and eggs for the non meat or gluten eaters amongst us and the staff very happy to accommodate our range of difficult dietary requirments ... I cannot imagine a better hotel for us in Lisbon than the Memmo Alfama. It's located right in the Alfama, which was in walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to do, while also being immersed in Lisbon. The pool/bar area has beautiful views of the neighborhood and Rio Tajo and great vinho verde. We looked forward to our nightcap there each night. We were very comfortable in our room, and the complimentary morning breakfast was fantastic.

Great little spot for a city break, lovely staff, very discreet. Very comfortable rooms. Would be amazing in summer with sunny weather for the pool and terrace. Nice to spend a rainy day there too though! Convenient to explore Lisbon, even better than it appears on their website. Will be back!

Lovely little hotel with friendly and helpfull staffs. Just one minor thing, they don't provide complimentary bottled water in the room, while tap water is not drinkable. Apart of that all was perfect.

Great location in a little alley behind a church, a little hotel that does it well. Small boutique hotel with excellent service and eager to help staff that will cater to your needs. The price is just right and dinner recommendations were spot on. Valet parking service is offered at 15 Euro per day and the short walk to the center actually makes a car redundant, no need for a car in Lisbon. Breakfast is truly great, large selection of warm rolls, eggs, fruit and pastry, highly recommended
