The hotel is ideally situated right between Bairo Alto with it's buzzing bars and some of the best restaurants of Lisbon and the chic shopping district of Baixa/ Chiado. Cais do Sodré, the big train/ Metro- station is within 3 min walking distance, the busses and the famous tramway are even nearer! The other side of the coin: All that means a very noisy environment, day like night. But if you are ready to sleep with closed windows and the AC switched on: This is a great , very sound-proof ba... Greeted at the door by the very friendly and helpful Wilson was a great way to start a lovely 3 night stay. My room was on the small side but ok for 1 person. It was a city view room, which I enjoyed from my window seat. The decor of my room and the whole hotel was very stylish. The bed was comfortable and room very quiet and had a small fridge. The bathroom "pod" was clean and modern and the rain shower was wonderful. The daily complimentary evening wine and sushi was a very nice touch and very... Read more

I stayed at the hotel for one night by myself. When checking in the staff was super friendly and was keen to make sure that I was comfortable and I had someone take my bag and show me up to my room. The staff was also excellent when I asked them to suggest some restaurants in the area and they also offered to call ahead and book a table for me and my friends. The room I stayed in was excellent. It was clean, modern with a homely feel, tastefully decorated and spacious. The location of the ... Read more

Lovely little hotel with friendly reception staff. The rooms are very cute if small but are fine for a short stay. There is a bar serving sushi - tried one dish and it was really nice. Only quibble about the hotel is that the bar isn't particularly friendly once the restaurant is closed . We ordered a coffee and a glass of wine just after 11 one night and were told to bring it up to the room- it was pointed out that this should have been advised before accepting our order so we were told we... I stayed in the LX Boutique Hotel for a weekend in March 2016 and overall it's a pretty good hotel. I've jotted down the pros and cons below: Pros: 1. Very well situated, in the middle of the city, you can walk just about everywhere 2. The hotel has a very modern and unique style/decoration 3. The staff was pretty friendly 4. The sushi restaurant in the hotel is good, they offer free sushi every night for an hour 5. Wifi works well Cons: 1. There was a stench in my room the entire weekend, a ... Read more

PROS The staff are delightful and exceptionally helpful, courteous, young and attractive, upbeat but not mawkishly hip. The overall design is restrained (most everything in shades of blue!) with a small "lobby", i.e., sitting area. The rooms are splendid if rather sparely furnished (but that's in character with the city), and designed to meet travellers' needs - ample cupboard space for clothing and luggage, some seating and a small table; great rainshowers in the bathrooms which though oddly de... We had a wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. The staff was nice enough to send up a bottle of sparkling wine. This is a stylish modern boutique with a lot of great things going for it: beautiful design, happening neighborhood, and friendly staff. Our room was perfectly quiet (4th floor, facing the water). It was clean and while not spacious, wasn't particularly cramped either. I think the main drawbacks of the place was that there was no closet (so I found it weird seeing my clothes hangin... This is an absolutely fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Lisbon, within walking distance of so many places. The rooms are very artfully decorated, comfortable, with the rooms on the upper level offering a rooftop view of the city and the sea. The hotel staff were very good and made the arrival very easy. Helping to carry th bags to the room was a nice touch. The hotel is in a great location to explore Lisbon. The main square is only 5 minutes walk away. Our only issue (and it was a big issue in the end) was the noise from the nightclub which was below our bedroom window. Good location, service and breakfast. Rooms are small but pleasant. Nice touch with the free Portuguese cakes and port available in the lobby. Two questions however - why do 'trendy' hotels have a penchant for only frosting the bottom half of the glass dividing bathroom from bedroom? Why not go all the way up? And would it be too much to ask to install a wardrobe instead of just hangers on a hook?

I could not believe my eyes once I stepped inside. It is a beautiful boutique hotel, every detail is taken care of, they have a great reception desk with people 24/7 and great service. They have a great rest-bar open that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and even late drinks. The rooms are perfect!!! Very modern, with a vintage shabby chic twist, it has a nespresso coffee maker, safe box, robes, toiletteries, and high end detsils everywhere. My room was VERY BIG AND FELT LIKE A 6 star hotel. Fantastic Boutique style hotel in a great location close to the river, Time Out Market (Mercado da Ribeira), the central area of Lisbon and it is also within walking distance to many of the local historic places of interest. Rooms are adequate and modern, but they do not provide tea and coffee making facilities. Not a big issue but some people would require this. The hotel is easy to reach from the Airport (around 40 mins) using the Metro and a 200m walk.

Located virtually opposite the "pink street" of nightclubs and strip bars made for an interesting adventure each night as well as some crowd noise until 4am, but didn't keep us from sleeping. Hotel was fun, new, interesting bathroom set up - like walking into a cruise ship room. Staff was super nice and helpful in providing dining suggestions. Breakfasts were ok - and less expensive than most hotels, though there is a good English breakfast place around the corner for only 5euro. View of the ri... Read more

We stayed at this boutique hotel for three nights and loved it. We had an amazing large room facing the street. The Decor is modern and convenient. When the windows were open it was a little noisy but once we closed the windows at night it was totally quiet. We walked to most of the places. We highly recommend the hotel and we will definitely come back.

My 21-year-old daughter and I stayed in LX Boutique Hotel for several days. The decoration in both the room and the lobby is elegant yet modern. There was always a tray of small sweet or savory pastries to greet visitors in the front hallway. The breakfast buffet is in the restaurant next door (adjoining the hotel) and is excellent. The same restaurant is one of the best sushi restaurants in town and very convenient after a long day of sightseeing. The Time Out food market just a few blocks away... Read more

We'll be back!

This beautifully decorated boutique hotel is not to be missed. Excellent service begins with free welcome drinks and sushi at the chic hotel restaurant. Lovely spacious rooms that are surprisingly quiet on the top floor. Willing to call cabs, lend umbrellas, make dinner recommendations, etc. Rua do Alecrim is a fun street for going out at night, with cool bars and restaurants; the Pink Street runs right beneath it a block from the hotel, as well. You can also walk to most of the tourist sites ... Read more

We only stayed 2 nights recently, so we did not feel like we got the full picture of the city. Certainly, the location of the hotel is fine- it's near the water and the various interesting plazas along there. The highlight of our trip was the Gulbenkian museum, which is a taxi ride away, but one of the highlights of our trip which included Spain. I thought the hotel staff was nice and tried to be helpful, but maybe a little inexperienced. The room was fine, with nice doors opening onto a railing... Read more

Location is quite nice, close to Baixa, Bairro Alto, historic tram stops etc. within walking distance. Now there is huge street maintenance work on going, but that is temporary of course. Staff is extremely friendly, rooms spacious and clean and everything in good condition. I would appreciate if the breakfast would be bit cheaper or even included in the room price - I am two cups of coffee + sandwich type a person and for that 15? is bit too much. Sushi is great. I will return to this hotel

All night activity is around this Hotel. Most night clubs are just down the stairs under the "Pink Street". Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Although night life around the hotel it is very silent and you can have good sleeps. The shower is exactly what a shower should be :) Walking to the ocean is like 200m and the view is unbelievable.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in my first city break in Lisbon on 18-20 october. It is located near Cais Do Sodre metro station so you can arrive from the airport easily with the metro in aprox. 40 min. Also train station is minutes away from the hotel if you plan to travel out of Lisbon. I enjoyed a lot 'Time Out Market Lisboa' where you can find delicious food for reasonable prices and is 5 min walk from this hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and centrally located. It's position near a major train, metro and bus connection is very practical. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and tourist destinations. Breakfast, however was disappointing and not worth the price. We ventured nearby each day for breakfast from the second day.

Spent just two nights on a midweek trip and really enjoyed our stay here.very modern with some lovely quirks here and there.all very clean and with all the mod cons....our room was long and bright with a very 'unique' bathroom.breakfast was very good too but we didn't have any evening meals.the only reason we didn't give it full marks as despite paying a 'good 'price for our room they charge you for the coffee pods in your room (other hotels have always been free)

Located on Rua Alecrim, we were able to walk to the Mercado Ribiera and a number of restaurants and stores. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and provided us with good information re; dining and area around the hotel. On two occasions we needed cabs and the hotel called the cab company for us. The room was surprising large and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

Well, the title quite well summarizes the total experience but some details are worth adding to this: Upon arriving at the hotel, after a tiresome busride from the airport, I was welcomed by the staff in the reception with an invitation to a drink and a sushi appetizer in the restaurant. Of course it was a way for them to advertise for the restaurant, but anyhow, it was by no means any waste of time to accept the invitation - the sushi was terrific! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the LX Boutique Hotel. The staff was helpful and assisted us with several requests. The location was close to a number of museums, shops, bars and many other historic sites. Our room was on the first floor and we still had a nice view of the river. The area is very hilly so we made good use of taxi's or the elevator when we got tired of walking.

Stayed here for a night in August. The staff at the front desk was super nice and recommended a bar we ended up checking out which was cool. The room was small but the window looked out at the water. The bathroom was funny because it's a glass wall with venetian blinds, so you'll have to close them if you don't want anyone you might be staying with seeing you do your business, if you know what I mean. I know you do. I'd stay here again. Also, if you like to party just walk outside and you'll be ... Read more

The hotel is very well located, near the metro, in the center of town: Perfect location. there is a really good gym 10 minutes away (Academia) which is worth the 15 euros they ask for for the day. My room was huge, amazing bed, very spacious bathroom, very stylish, could live in this space, lovely view too of the river.. Restaurant is very friendly and has good quality food. Can get noisy as lots of bars very close , only negative part of this place.

This hotel is small, close to the river in the Cais do Sodre district, close to Bairro Alto. Lots of restaurants close by and the hotel is close to the Mercado da Ribeira, a very nice food market with lots of restaurants. The rooms are good and the staff are wonderful. There is a Sushi and Tapas restaurant in the hotel and the only music I heard was old Jazz. The only drawback would be the noise from the neighbouring nightclubs but closed windows block that out.
