I recently stayed at Lisbon City Hotel for a 3 night city break. Although I had emailed to ask for an early check in after a very early morning Ryanair flight, when I arrived I was told this was not possible but I could leave my luggage until 2pm when I could check in. Luckily I had slept on the flight and was not tired! The hotel is very close to 2 metro stops, so very convenient from the airport. The area around the hotel is full of Nepalese, Indian, Chinese and Turkish restaurants and coffee... Read more

Lisbon City Hotel is fine. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast is basic but satisfying. The hotel is in a great location in some ways, and a weird one in another. It's super close to all the great neighbourhoods of the city. You can walk to almost everything you would want to see. If I were a woman alone, however, I would feel a bit uncomfortable in the area around the hotel at night. Being in a small group of friends, however, I felt fine, but I don't know if I would have othe... Read more

We stayed two nights, chose the hotel on price and location, and were pleased with the standard. It is within walking distance of the downtown sights, but there are tram and metro stops only a hundred yards or so away. Around the hotel, there are lots of local minimarkets and cafes around - we had an excellent Nepalese meal for a bargain - and it has a feel of somewhere with real community rather than something preserved for tourism. There's a great lounge and balcony on the 7th floor where you... Read more

The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the metro and is on the high street. We had a twin room on 4th floor with a spacious balcony with a table and 2 chairs and a fridge in the room. We were charged 20‚?¨ for the safe key which was refunded when we left. Breakfast was adequate, though the 'juice ' was horrible, like a sickly sweet squash. I was happy with the very nice bread rolls, cheese and salami but there was also scrambled eggs , and sausages. Our room was clean and the shower was exce... Read more

This is a modern hotel in a less fashionable, though interesting, part of Lisbon. The area is multicultural which is reflected in the variety of cheap places to eat. It is easy to get to by Metro from the airport and as Metro travel is such good value relative easy to get to all the cultural hot spots. It has a public roof terrace with splendid views and some of the staff are very helpful. My complaints are that the front desk was often not manned in the evening and thus presented a serious sec... The rooms are small. It is hard to put a chair at the desk since the space between bed and the desk which is very limited. The desk is very narrow. The printed internet password is confusing since there is a typo. I had to wait till the change od the guys at the reception who finally told me that there is a typo. The breakfast is ok. The staff is kind. The price is I would say a bit high for the conditions.

I stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of May. The hotel is very well located on a main road to the town centre with metro and bus stops close by. My room was small but spotless. It had all the usual amenities plus a balcony. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is situated right next to the Intendente metro stop and a 10-12 minute walk to the Praca do Comercial. The area did not appear to be on the tourist path. However, it was close enough to get easily to any part of the tourist areas that you may want to see. There were also some really great local bakeries and restaurants a block or two away from the hotel. If I had been traveling by myself, I do not know if I would have felt entirely comfortable staying in this area. I was traveling w... Read more

A Good Hotel to stay. 3 minutes walk to the Metro Line, 3 Stops to Rossio the City Centre, 5-6 Mins to nearest Tram rides. Our Room had a Nice balcony. Breakfast is quite decent too. Also a quite neighbourhood. Two things here I would mention, the Wifi was slow, infact the first day till the evening it didnt work. And the Front desk people could be little more warm and friendly. If these 2 things changes in this Hotel is great find be a find.

Lets be real, this is not located in the "fancy" parts of lisbon. But for the price the location is fantastic. Its literally a 2 minute walk from the train station, and it takes max 10min to get to all the major landmarks in the city. There is a bunch of great cheap places to eat nearby. The breakfast at the hotel does the job and is worth the 7euros since breakfast places really dont exist anywhere. When a cafe just doesnt fill you up. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its clean, room a... Read more

We have visited Lisbon and are happy we did! Wow! The very best of Europe - visiting and retiring here! The hotel staff was particularly friendly and helpful. They really know how to make their guests happy! Now we are very much into retiring in Portugal - the best of the best places available on the planet!

This hotel is superb value, it is very clean, reasonable sized rooms and staff are very friendly. Breakfast at 7 euros per head is not bad value and it saves you time that you can use for exploring Lisbon. Not located in nicest area, but metro stations Anjos(uphill) and Intedente(downhill) are barely a minute away on foot, so not a problem. Depends what you want to see/do in Lisbon, but we found the Lisboa card was ideal for getting around on metro/buses/trams and trains to Cascais and Sintra. W... Read more

The hotel is located about 10-15 minute walk from downtown, it`s clean and well maintained. We stayed in a regular double room, which was`t too spacious, but enough for 2 people for 2 nights. Reception staff was very helpful. There aren`t any restaurants in near proximity of the hotel, so make sure you have dinner before you return to your hotel if you stay here. Overall, good 3 star hotel, value for money.

This hotel has two separate units - one for apartments, the other the regular hotel. For a few pennies more I chose an apartment. It was absolutely fabulous. Had everything in it, nicely decorated, and even a little balcony overlooking a back street with laundry hanging out windows. Absolutely charming. Had breakfast in the main building. Nice buffet. It is very close to the subway, but I chose to walk. In less than 30 minutes I was in the center, and the walk itself took me along these fabulou... Read more

I booked and paid for a double room; I found a very small room: it would be small also as a single room. This is the worst and most irritating thing. There is a fairly small terrace, and this is the best thing. No change of bed linen in 4 days. I'm not sure about the change of towels. The hotel is 15 minute walk from downtown. Maybe You can find better for same money.

Stayed there 3 nights - the rooms are clean but small-works for 1 person but for two it will be cosy. Good is that they have a balcony + on the top a terrace. Beds are a bit hard. However the price is fair. Breakfast is in the basment and ok for 7‚?¨ but the coffee is rubbish.

We booked a trip to lisbon (2 26-year-old guys) for a trip to see a football game. This hotel came up as one of the most reasonably priced, and after reading reviews we choose this to stay at. Room: We were on the 6th floor (of 7) with a view out over the main street and church opposite. Some rooms offer a balcony however ours didn‚??t. Rooms are modern, comparing to other 3/4 star hotels. Nice and clean bathroom/Shower. 1 double and 1 single bed in the room, was slightly on the small side but... Read more
