We were surprised to find a living area with small kitchen in our room which was a great bonus. The room itself could do with some serious updating but it was clean and comfortable. Downstairs the hotel was up to date with comfortable seating and a very nice dining area which served a really nice breakfast. The location of the hotel was perfect with access to three different lines of the metro within five minutes walk. The metro is very easy to use (once one has learnt how to purchase a ticket f... If you want to go to Lisbon with family, friends or alone, and be in a good location, I would take this hotel. The rooms are big, with various beds, and divided in two rooms with the bathroom in between. It is an old hotel, and that's why the decoration is a bit antique. That's why the prices are low, what is very nice for an holiday. It is situated near the Marques de pombal metro station, and the Eduard 7th Parc. The view is magnificent, and it is very calm.

Had a two night stay here with 17 guys for a stag do. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are basic, but very comfy and clean. The bathroom was brand new and large, with a modern shower. The hotel is very quiet, but has a Burger King, pizzaria and a bar nearby - I.e a 1 minute walk. The hotel also is within a 5 euro taxi ride from Barrio alto for the bars and clubs.

I was directed to room #101, a large and pleasant suite, and prepared myself to go take a shower. I was surprised when I figured out that there was no hot water. I called the reception and Mr. Nelson told me he could not do anything because the technician would only come at 9am. I asked him if it was the only thing that he had to say and then asked me if I wanted to try room #303. I said yes. A few minutes later called me to the room and confirmed to me that the room #303 had hot water and was a... Read more

Very nice hotel, good breakfast with various types of coffee and fresh bead and cruasones. We stayed at two rooms suit with bathroom between, that was very clean. Bads were very comfortable. Hotel location is very good, close to two metro station, just few minutes walk. There are several places to eat nearly.

Péssimo Old hotel, horrible beds, no fridge and the worst, went to mak... Read more

Staff is nice enough (I only saw the night manager, he was very nice), location is fine if you just have a one night layover like I had but the hotel is very old and not up to standards anymore at all. Atmosphere in the hotel (walking through the -sometimes outdoor even- hallways at night as a woman alone is not very comfortable. In general there is not really anything super wrong, but everything is very old and not comfortable. Would never recommend.

After a nice travel around Portugal, I've booked this hotel to rest, as it's close to the metro line and so around some nice places in Lisbon! I've got a really huge room with many facilities for a bargain. Amazing continental breakfast and a perfect service!

The hotel and the rooms were very basic however on our budget it was certainly value. On the other hand the room was very spacious. The star of the show were the staff who were ultra helpful both on our arrival and also when we left when helping us find another hotel as there was an air strike preventing us getting home and they were fully booked. Breakfast was pretty ordinary, but for the price and to start the day it was worth it.

This was my second visit to Lisbon and I was looking for a hotel that had a great location. The hotel is nearby 2 metro stations and is the starting point of the hop on hop of busses. You can easily walk to the center of Lisbon. I got an upgrade from a one person bedroom to a junior suite, which was great. The room was large. It had 3 beds, a kitchenette and 2 tv's. It was a little bit outdated. The beds were very comfortabel. Breakfast was good and the hotel managers were very helpful.

We had two rooms with a bathroom (shower but no bath) which gave us much space. It was in a fairly good location for the Metro and within walking distance of the tour bus (hop on/off) location although because of its location the big buses could not get to the hotel and had to let us off away from the hotel. Plus there were no good (that we found) places to eat around the hotel. The staff was OK. Breakfast very minimal (lots of bread). The hotel did have a very good A/C system but was in n... Read more

I stayed at the hotel for a week visiting Lisbon for pleasure and I would definitely recommend this hotel for several resons - because of its absolutely fantastic location next to the Parque and Marques de Pombal Square (2 metro stations very close by), vicinity to 2 large shopping malls and the park, 100% cleanliness and extra room size. If you are staying for several days, it is good to choose the room in advance (call them up like I did) and request a room which contains a living room and bed... Read more

Very pleasant hotel. Breakfast buffet is plentiful with a good choice range. Location is close to centre. With Lisbon being quite a large city public transport is advisable. Try haggle prices down. It works most often I found the locals very friendly but beware of groups and even individuals selling drugs openly. (just keep any eye on your pockets) Real downside I found was the expense. Always ask the price before ordering. My mates paid 66 Euros in a small bar/restaurant for only eight beers.

Although I have been lucky enough to be offered an upgrade to suite, the rooms and facilities are very good: Plenty of space; View very good for the Marques de Pombal Square and Eduardo VII Park. The TV was pretty big. Good lighting. The location of this hotel is excellent: Central but not too noisy Good relation value / price To cut the water (although call ahead) from 6:00 pm onwards, is not the best time ... -Noisy works very early - at breakfast - coming from the adjoining building. The rooms are of a good size our room had two singles at one end with a double at the other with a big shower & toilet in the middle it also had a small fridge the beds were comfortable.
