Just been 3 nights with 10 mates on a Stag. Great hotel rooms are clean and comfortable they looked after us for an early check in and the staff could be friendlier or more helpful. Room cleaned daily to a first rate condition. Reception little to offer small enough and little atmosphere but fine for a snack or breakfast before heading into the city. Nearly two Metro stops and easy 15 minute walk into city centre. Going in down hill come home a taxi is wise. We would all definitely stag again gr... Read more

The room was pleasant; the price was right; easy to return there every night from the Barrio Alto. It was close to the metro and busses. The service was good. The only complaint I had was there was no room service. I love cappocino before leaving my room. We took a side day-trip to Sintra. Lisbon is such a lovely city!

We stayed for 4 nights and the staff were so friendly, especially the girls in the grey T-shirts on the morning shift. Breakfast was continental but a great selection that filled us up for the day. Free wifi was a great bonus and worked well. Yes it's on a steep street (with cobbles that are lethal when wet, as they were a lot during our week in Lisbon) but if you're coming from the airport with luggage, get the metro to Rato instead of Avenida and you'll approach the hotel from the top of the h... I have booked over a hundred nights in Ibis hotels and have never had a bad experience till now. the checking in process at Ibis is usually slow but here it was even more so. When we got to our room we were surprised to find it was occupied. One would think that the front desk would know what rooms are clean and available but this was not the case. We were given another room. Since I'm a member of the Ibis client group at check in I was given a postcard but I have no idea why. I was also given a... Read more

Due to delayed flight I arrived very late, and ended up in a room that made me feel claustrophobic. The person who checked me in was very apologetic, and made arrangements for me to be relocated to another room the next morning. I left my suitcase packed, and when I returned in the afternoon I had been assigned a room on a higher floor. The hotel is clean, the staff helpful and friendly, and the value for money for this location is good. The breakfast buffet was simple, but very good, and I like... Read more

Hotel IBIS is on an extremely steep street ‚?? about a 10 minute walk to/between two Metro stations. Small hotel, well appointed, very clean, good value. My room small (adequate for one person) with good sized bathroom (shower stall, toilet & basin), lovely big bed with comfortable pillows; curtain a bit tired with some holes; pity there are no smoking floors as when one enters hallway, you smell cigarette smoke (sadly this a factor of Lisbon ‚?? thousands of cigarette butts all over footpaths... This hotel is ideally situated for exploring Lisbon. Check in and check out was easy and quick. The staff where friendly and helpful. The rooms are what you expect from Ibis clean and functional. The Wi-Fi at the hotel was excellent and free. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to holidaying in Lisbon.

Check-in was effortless, service excellent, staff were very helpful and their English was very good. Plenty of good restaurants in the area and the staff suggest some wonderful restaurants. Close to public transport and a interesting walk into the old area. The construction site next door was the only drawback.

A typical Ibis hotel, clean and with all one wants, except luxury. The breakfast is reasonable, provides variety is and abundant enough, if needed, to set one up for the morning. Already mentioned by others but worth reiterating, particularly for older travellers, is the uphill walk from Avenida Liberdade, though if coming from Rato Metro station, the slope is less daunting. It's not just the steepness of the slope though. The small, square paving stones are shiny smooth. I'd recommend soft ru... Read more

We traveled at Portugal staying 2 nights at the beginning of the tour and 1 night at the end. the Ibis Lisbon Liberdad was an excellent chose. The location is very good. the stuff very kind polite and helpful. Fulfilling every request. The same was in all the hotels of this brand that we used in our tour. The only problem for us was the breakfast that had no eggs and vegetables that we like to eat in the morning instead of meat.

We stayed here 7 years ago for 5 nights and this time 4 nights. The friendly lady at the reception was the same, the breakfast space was nicer, the bread, coffee and others were very good and the room as good as before. One thing didn't change either: the last 100 meters before you reach the hotel. Some tips: The location of Ibis enabled us to discover Avenida Liberdade, a vast boulevard/garden with nice stores, typical quiosques and deep shadow. If you wish to see more of the unique city plan ... Read more

Overall it was OK. WC was uncomfortable because too compressed against the wall. very little space to lay down your luggage. Shower could be renovated. Quiet place and not distant from broadway (Avenida de la Libertade).

Clean and modern hotel. Room was small but had basic amenities including welcome air conditioning and TV. Staff friendly and helpful. The centre of Lisbon is a 20-30 minute walk, mostly downhill -- though obviously on the way back that is uphill, which could be challenging if unprepared. However, the hotel is pretty near to both Rato and Avenida Metro stations, and is relatively central (as well as cheap) by comparison with others in Lisbon. My room lacked a safe and fridge, which would have bee... Read more

The service is very good. The eception staff is very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. I was surprised. I did not expect to have a variety and quality as good. The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to everything.

We stayed at the Ibis Liberdade in a triple room. Everything was very good. Only the bathroom floor could seem a bit more clean. May its because the floor itself needs a makeover. The area is very near the city center, but you have to be fit to walk up the road for 15-20 minutes.

A very nice and very clean but small Ibis hotel. The breakfast was minimal but we never left hungry The only drawback is this hotel sits on a very steep Hill so getting up to it is a bit of a challenge especially if you're pulling bags with you. The location is great. It is within walking distance to everything and very close to the main Liberdade Avenue. Lisbon is a great walking city. You do not need a car for anything.

Good position near Avenida and Rato metro-stations, although a 20-30 meters uphill from the entrance, via Rua Barata Salgueiro. The rooms are simple, clean and modern style but need some renewal and they have not good soundproofing. Upper floor rooms are preferable. Avoid definately rooms that they communicate by internal door, unless 2 couples companionship or 4 members family. Helpfull and polite staff espesially the males.

We could not find a small hotel and we settled for Ibis. We knew it had no charm, but it is very well located. Inside the hotel, we could have been anywhere in the world. However, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms. The breakfast area is boring. One interesting feature is the garage. Access is with a car elevator. Quite a job with a 4x4. The elevator leads down to a floor with 3 parking spots. Looks like an overkill but it is convenient.

We stay in Ibis Liberdade from Thursday to Sunday. The hotel is very good, quite area and just connect to the main street Avenida da Liberdade. Not too far from Parque Eduardo VII where can find city your buses. Price reasonable, room clean, well quipped, bath room good. For us, both are seventies, are too tire go back to the hotel by walk. Why ? Just like climb to the hill.

Standard Ibis good value with a clean tidy room, and an excellent shower - no bath. Very friendly staff. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the central area of Lisbon. Very easy going into Lisbon - it's downhill. However the hotel is at the top of a hill, so be prepared for a little exercise on the at back, or work out the bus routes or a taxi ( which are pretty cheap overall ) !

It was my second time at this hotel and it is still a good option for a couple in this marvelous city. Excellent location, fair price, good bed, clean and a very friendly team. The breakfast encompass what we need.

Very close to the "Avenida" Metro stop so a doddle to get there from the airport metro station. Rooms are clean and comfy, though the rooms could do with a re painting as they do get some wear and tear !

Good location and that is all. The room is ok, pattern ibis. The staff is also ok. But if you need to leave our luggage with they you are going to have a problem, even me as a gold member needed to beg to leave my luggages there, it was the first time that I had this kind of issue in a Accor hotel. If you need to take a rest during the day you would be in trouble. The housekeepers are completely noisy, making a simple try to sleep a nightmare. To finish, in the same day I advise the reception th... Read more

The Ibis Liberdade was a very pleasant surprise during our Lisbon trip. We booked it as a low budget option but it turned out to be excellent. Good location, quiet, spacious and clean rooms. The service at reception was excellent. All in all very recommendable for a city trip.

Generally good experience with this ibis. When you book ibis, you know what you will get, and that's the thing I love. I know I will have a stay with a very comfortable bed, well maintained bathroom, generally good shower and clean. That's a basic! What to be improved? Probably a more trendy carpet, and more welcoming welcome drink (in my 4 days of stay, I have only seen once, then disappeared for the rest of the trip). BTW, the steep road outside really a pull off (not ibis's fault). No matt... Read more

This was a good hotel near central Lisbon. However, if you are walking, know that it is at the top of a hill (after walking all day, you notice!) This hotel was actually a bit better than the sister property we stayed at later. Helpful staff, the towels were newer and fluffier. This is the basic type of hotel, with out the luxe amenities, but was perfect for what we needed - we brought our own amenities! My daughter paid for this hotel with points, which made it very affordable. The location wa... Read more
