We had a comfortable room in a small wing a long way away from the front desk. The service was good here and the view from our room was over the city. The breakfast was included and was very basic. There is no restaurant in the hotel but you can get simple food at the bar. It seems to be a hotel used by the transient construction workers. A good price and you can purchase the Hop on Hop off tickets at the desk.

Old hotel, breakfast ok but not great, located 2 minutes metro station which takes you in to central Lisbon for 1.40 euro per person - one way. Car Parking is underground and very tight if you have a long or high vehicle. 9 euros a night. Some staff helpful. Probably would not stay here again.

This hotel is very close to Metro station.Central location with lots of shops bars and restaurants around and a massive shopping centre just on the other side of the road. The hotel is very big,I think it is over 8 floors. The rooms are fine and have everything you need in there. Little outdated but very clean. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is not too far from the airport (it can be reached by bus), and there is a metro station just around the corner, so I found the location very convenient. The area is more business and it looks safe. The hotel is decent, room is clean and has everything we needed, it was perfect for our 3-4 days stay.

Stayed here as part of a tour around Spain and Portugal. Seems to do a lot of group tour bookings as we were not the only group using the hotel for the couple of days. Clean rooms, reasonable beds and hot water in the shower. A bit of noise at night with slamming doors and voices but it died down before midnight. Ok place

Overall good, and good service, but it's completly outdated.. old room, old tv, everything old. Hotel staff was very friendly and hotel is very well located. TV is old and signal is terrible, all equipment could be a lot better. and there is no mini fridge

We stayed here for 4 days. The price was great and in a nice area. It was close to the metro which was good for us since we used the system a lot to see everything. We bought the breakfast that is offered: eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, breads, coffee and juice. The staff were very helpful and the housekeeping staff did a thorough job. The hotel is old, beds were a little too hard for me. Décor is old. The elevator was interesting and very small but it did it's job. If yo... Read more

The hotel is handy for the metro & the free wifi worked well. Staff were helpful on check in. Breakfast was OK. But coffee was from a machine & not great. Decaf even worse. The hotel was packed with groups, some of them pretty noisy. Not a bad location but not a great place if you want peace & quiet. Also remember to have your city tax ready when you check out if you're in a hurry. I had to rummage around for cash even though my room was prepaid. I've just checked in to another Lisbon hotel w... This hotel has a good location in terms of access to Entrecampos station. It is clean and cheap. Staff were helpful and kind. Sadly that stops there. This hotel is very dated and in dire need of a refurb. The lift is like something from the 60s and quite bizarre. The tv in the room you need a pair of binoculars to view it is that small, If you can get by the fuzziness of the the tv channel reception that is. The music cafe opposite is recommended for breakfast. Lots of bars and cafes in th... Read more

Old and dirty. Food (Breakfast) - catastrophy. Air Condition remembers Antonio Salazar's period. Two light points: location (close to Tourada arena) and clean bath (but not all towels). Noisy (everything from corridor is very well heard).

The hotel is in a good location, only a few minutes walk away from a metro stop and a above ground train station. However the hotel wasn't very modern, it seemed to not have been updated in quite a few years, the room was clean although this too needed updating, the air con was great, worked really well. We stayed for two nights, having come back in the evening of the second day the cleaner had replaced our towels and instead of hanging them on the rails (which our used towels had been) they wer... The VIP Inn is a classic style hotel with clean rooms. The elevators suck, we took the stairs mostly as we would wait 15minutes and the left still wouldn't come! The breaks fact was great, especially the pastries and good coffee. The hotel is located about 20minutes from the city centre although is situated a few minute walk from the bull ring and a few nearby restaurant and shops around. Bathroom was clean but shower head doesn't stay still and flooded out our bathroom twice! Overall good for ... Read more

Average location, very small room, clean linen. Air con worked very well on a hot night. Paint peeling off the walls in the passages and carpet looking very tired. Reasonable number of cafés in the area. Would not like to have been there for more than the one night. Were able to leave our luggage locked up, as room only available from 2 pm. Could not pay for hop on hop off bus at the hotel as hotel had run out of vouchers, so had to walk down to the central ticket office, about a 25 minute wa... Read more

We booked this hotel because we had a 19 hour layover and figured we would see a little bit of Lisbon. It was very inexpensive. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. There is a great restaurant across the street with live music where we had dinner and dessert. There are places nearby to sight see. We took an uber to the another part of the city. As far as staying here longer for any other reason, I don't know that I would. The beds are fine and clean. The walls are paper thin... We... Read more

This hotel was close to the Metro and train and bull fighting ring. The room was clean, we had fresh towels daily and although dated, this hotel was just what we needed. Staff friendly, called cab for us and was helpful.

We had requested a quiet room prior to check in but when we arrived we were given a room on the first floor, facing the street, right next to the lift. When we complained we were allocated a room on higher floor. The walls are paper thin, we could hear everything from the corridor and from the room next door. When we were preparing to go out one evening and we rang the reception for an iron to borrow but we were told only housekeeping can iron the guests' clothes.

This is an ok place, often too crowded particularly during breakfast. Very old fashion room, however clean. Staff relatively very friendly and helpful. Location is average. Breakfast is average, Elevators are very slow. Dont say above the street

We arrived in Lisbon on the train from the Algarve. Of the several train stations in Lisbon, we chose Entre Campos as our location. The VIP Inn Berna turned out to be a very easy five minute walk from the station for my wife and I, both 65+. Our two day reservation was prepaid, along with breakfast and check in was friendly and efficient-no credit card imprint required, only a copy of your passport. There was lots of choice at the help yourself breakfast and the offerings good. The room had... Read more

Decent value for money place....the staff is pretty helpful. The place is overall nicely located. The interior is a little tacky for most people who've stayed at better hotels......thers a large supermarket n food court about 200m away.

Hotel is outdated. Room was small, not a comfortable bed. Bathroom had no comfort: you manually have to put water in the tank to be able to flush. Hygiene was ok. Breakfast is very basic. No fruits. Only some eggs and bread. We left early but they didn't even asked why and got no refund.

Stayed here the night before returning to the UK from a Flying Event in Benavente, the Hotel was immaculately maintained & very clean Bedrooms, nice washroom facilities & a superb breakfast. I am pleased to say it lives up to the VIP name, the value for money Room Rates were budget prices for a VIP type stay. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for the Airport and far cheaper than hotels nearer to the Airport & this location has more around it to do than those by the Airport.
