It was a one off stopover in Lisbon. Our connecting flights had been changed and the airline decided to put us up overnight in the Hotel Roma. After what felt like an eternity the hotel transport arrived to collect us from the airport. At first glance the hotel looked nice, well staffed and a shiny clean lobby. However for all the nice facade the wait to be seen by reception was even longer than the wait at the airport. The staff appeared flustered by an influx of non booked guests. After ... Read more

The hotel was a short taxi ride from the airport, about 20 Euros. The hotel staff was confused about our reservation since we were with a large group from Phoenix, but arrived on a much later flight. Once they found our room, we were shown it promptly. It was a nice, clean room close to a grocer and restaurants.

Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. But the highlight is the excellent location near both roma metro station , a train station as well as a short taxi ride to most city attractions. Would stay there again.

The Hotel Roma is located next to the metro and Regional Train. Jump in the metro and you are 10 minutes away from everything; airport, main train station, bus station, Alfama, etc. The room and bathroom have all you need; a firm good bed, good new pillows, water pressure excellent, etc The front desk will be able to help you for day trip, excursion, restaurant, etc. The breakfast is good, abondant and healthy as well. I gave 5 stars because of the staffing, extremely polite, speaks severals la... Read more

Stayed there with a group tour and found it very good. Clean, with toiletries in bathroom, not a luxury hotel but above average. Wi-fi in the rooms was good. Only 8 euros taxi ride from the airport. Very close to metro, only 5 stops to Rossio. Area is called Campo Pequeno, walking distance to Bull Ring with Shopping underground . I will definitely go back. Good value for money, also breakfast very good.

I actually like this hotel except that the lifts took long and on our first day, our luggages took long to be brought up. Apparently they only had one person tasked to bring up the luggages of some forty plus tourists arriving altogether. Otherwise, I love their breakfast and the atmosphere in the hotel lobby is accommodating, busy but cozy. Location is very convenient as it is walking distance to the metro. Stores and restos can be found around the area and we also chanced upon a street market ... Read more

Spent 1 night here after leaving another hotel where we spent 2 nights. Our travel agent made an error & it was an inconvenience to move. But we were glad we did. Helpful staff who told us on arrival about 1 euro city charge we'd have to pay on checkout. Rooms fine. Nice breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit, eggs, cold meats, cheeses etc. Not bad coffee. Not far from Metro. Had nice sea bass at the restaurant. Good stay overall. Recommended.

A fairly standard city hotel, they have limited parking, but there is a big underground car park about 200m away charging just under ‚?¨10 per 24 hours. Other reviews mention being ignored by staff at reception, we experienced that a couple of times as well. Breakfast was OK, the fruit juice was the vile watered down stuff, and the staff were slow at keeping the buffet stocked up, they also had the annoying habit of clearing your crockery away while you were still eating. Our room was on the ... Read more

We were put up here by Vueling Airlines for 2 nights, who cancelled our flight. Check in staff very friendly, restaurant a bit stiff and staff too formal, oldfashioned, seemed overworked and impatient. Everything very clean but standing in a bath to have a shower with a curtain coming to you is a bit unpleasant. break that bath out and have a walk in shower :-) Good wifi signal everywhere.

Two incidents from this hotel has prompted me to write this review. I had money and credit card stolen by pickpocket in tourist area of Lisbon. After report to police I returned to hotel to phone bank to cancel card and advised staff that because it was a reverse charge call I should only have to pay connection fee which was about 3.7 Euro. Staff unsympathetic and unhelpful, saying connection fee and duration of call would be on my bill. Next day one of the women I was travelling with said 50... Read more
