we stayed here in May 2016 while my husband was on a business trip. Location was good, it was a little ways away from all the sights towards the river, but an easy walk (if you want to explore) all down hill the metro stop is just around the corner that takes you anywhere in the city, Super easy to get around and the hotel staff where excellent in giving directions and ideas. Great breakfast buffet and nice bar in the lobby.

Booked a night at this hotel based on positive Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. We were allowed into the rooms before the check-in time. The process was friendly, fast, efficient. The rooms (a couple friends travelled with us, we saw their accommodations as well) were decent size with very nice bathrooms. The location was quiet, really close to metro. Even though this hotel is not located in the very center, a short metro ride or a 30-minute walk will take you to all the historical ... Read more

The welcome was very friendly at this hotel. The room was spacious, quiet, good wifi and had everything we needed except tea making facilities which would have been nice. It was spotless and we had a room on the 5th floor with a balcony. Never stayed in such a quiet hotel it was perfect. The breakfast had a good selection. The location was perfect as we could walk to the tourist area of Lisbon in 15 minutes or get the metro. The staff at the hotel recommended a great place to eat nearby. We ate ... Read more

Lovely hotel, spacious and clean. A bit far from the old town centre but taxis very cheap and plentiful (‚?¨5 each way). Staff all very helpful but don't expect a late drink in the bar as it closed at 11pm. Otherwise a lovely stay and would stay again.

We had a girls cultured time staying in this lovely hotel. It's very clean, convenient as metro just around the corner and nice quiet street too even though there was a mall and supermarket just a stone's throw away. It's also just half an hour stroll down hill to the middle of Lisbon!! But the jewel in the crown of Hotel Olidippo Saldanha - the girls at reception! They're so knowledgeable and ever so helpful with local tips - "You're the best, girls!" Hope to come back soon - shopping trip this... Read more

Stayed for long weekend over St Anthony Bank Holiday. Great location. 2 mins from metro. Easy access from airport. 10 mins metro to downtown but also excellent places to eat, walk and shop locally. Feels relatively new. Clean and neat. Room only lacked for tea and coffee in room. Good buffet breakfast. We are choosy on hotels but would definitely recommend.

Brand new hotel in a nice neighbourhood not far from city centre and steps from a metro station with an entire block of restaurants just around the corner. We loved the large, very quiet, modern room with a deck, remote-controlled blackout shutters and great bathroom and shower. Very comfy bed, too. Housekeeping was deluxe and all the staff were gracious, friendly, sweet and helpful. Nice bar in the lobby. A little pricier than we usually pay, but very reasonable for a 4 star hotel in Lisbon. We spent three nights in late June 2016 and love the room. It is a very clean and nice hotel. Everything about the hotel makes it look and feel new, except for the towels. They are as old as the building. I wasn't sure if they were towels or sandpaper. The breakfast was simple but perfect with fresh fruits, great rolls and good coffee. It was a traditional breakfast with eggs, meats and cheeses and fresh juice. I loved the shower. It was huge and the glass wall was long enough to keep the ba... Read more

We stayed for a week using this hotel as a base to explore Lisbon and nearby places. The Hotel is beside a metro station on the line from the airport, and within comfortable walking distance of the city attractions right down to the river. (We used the metro and trains to visit parts of the town, coast, and inland.) Our 5th floor room had a balcony and a terrace! Bright, spacious and very comfortable accommodation and very friendly staff, great buffet breakfast. There are three restaurants acro... Read more

This hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly, and the complimentary breakfast is great! It is just a few steps away from Saldanha Metro station which is very convenient. The area is relatively quiet, so if you are looking for action (restaurants / bars / attractions) this is not the place for you, but it's a short Metro ride away from most of what you would want to see. NOTE: I booked on and at the end of my stay was charged an extra "tax" of a couple of euros (or thereabo... Read more

Very clean room, spacious and convenient. One of the quietest rooms I have ever stayed in. Minimal decoration, sunny room with big windows, very relaxing. Breakfast was included, with good variety and everything tasty and freshly made. Service very polite and helpful. Bathrobes, slippers, hair comb and vanity kit provided in the room. Metro station nearby. Definitely recommend it.

Only 100 metres from an exit to Saladanha Metro makes this an excellent choice for touring. The hotel is trendy and modern with very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are large and airy with modern fixtures and a mini bar. Bathrooms are particularly nice snd the rain shower is great. The breakfast has everything you'd want and served by friendly waiting staff. Despite its proximity to the main square, it is in a cup de sac so no noisy traffic.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Olissippo Saldanha in Lisbon this summer, and recommend it warmly without any hesitation. The hotel is perfectly situated, adjacent to the Saldanha metro station (on the red line, directly accessible from the airport) in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood only a short stroll away from the busier tourist zone in the city centre. The Gulbenkian museum is nearby, as are a range of lively restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself is beautifully decorat... Read more

Lovely hotel with super helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms which are all near new; but this is a small boutique hotel. A supermarket around the corner, a few bars and places to eat. In walking distance to some main monuments - BUT only if you don't mind a fairly big walk. Close to a Metro station, so getting in and out of the downtown is easy. Would recommend, as long as you dont want to be right in the thick of the action.

The olissippo hotel is perfectly located, just enough away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, but easyto get around with a metro stop and bus routes on the doorstep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms obviously recently refurbished and spotless, and a super air conditioning system. Breakfast was a typical continental style with enough choice to start the day. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to friends

Came here on my first visit to this particular hotel in this chain, and what a lovely place. It's fantastic and the staff are excellent and have a very 'can do' approach. Tea/coffee facilities in room could or would be a nice addition if ever considered; but brilliant, and so looking forward to my return, in September this year, with a friend to whom I've recommended the place.

This is a 1st class hotel and the staff at front of house are excellent. Breakfast comprised juices, cereals, fresh fruit, hot or cold dishes and plentiful supply of tea or coffee. The bread was very fresh and tasty as were the little custard tarts and savoury sweets. A short distance away is cafe versailles if your sweet tooth is aching and it will certainly be satisfied there. The hotel is only a short walk from the metro and is situated on a quiet street. It is a great hotel, situated in a modern neighborhood. Easy access to the metro. The breakfast was not a 4 star but it was good. The place where the breakfast is served is situated underground. It's very nice but has no windows and no music and everybody eats in silence or they are whispering to each other. The only noise is coming trough the kitchen's opened door. It could be better with some music.

We stayed for three nights in May primarily to go to the Rock in Rio festival which is why we chose a hotel midway between central Lisbon and the venue for the concert. The hotel is very close to the metro station which has a good service. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast more than adequate.

We are thrilled with our decision to stay here. We are ending a 2 wk vacation in Spain and Portugal and had only 2 nights in Lisbon. We wanted a convenient spot and this place delivered that and MUCH more. Immediately behind the hotel is a metro subway stop on the red line to the airport - so it is easy to get to. It is about a 20 minute walk to the river, down the gorgeous Avenue de la Libertade for much of this. There is a lovely grocery store 1/2 a block away for essentials. The property... Read more

On our first visit to Lisbon we wanted to stay in an area close enough to walk downtown if we wanted and also with access to major metro lines. I found this hotel online and besides having good reviews about the quality of the rooms it also talked about the hotel being a few minutes walk to the metro red line. We were very pleased with our room and the fact the hotel rooms facing the street are on a very quiet street at night with virtually no noise. The staff were exceptional in recommending lo... Location is ok if you're happy to do a bit of walking to the main city area. We found the rooms to be very clean, modern and a decent size. If you need to rent a car, there is an Avis or a Budget a one minute walk from the hotel. There are a few areas to eat around the area but we ate mostly in the city area. The reception team were mainly friendly and assisted where they could, however I thought could have been more friendly. Parking under the hotel is very narrow and you will have to reverse... Good location (not too far from the historical district but far enough to be quiet). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Felt very welcome and a good place to call home for a few days. Walls are too thin though. You can hear your neighbours brushing their teeth. No, not just the water running, I mean the actual toothbrush brushing against teeth.
