Had a spacious room on the fifth floor overlooking quite a busy street. The bed was a large double one and quite comfortable. The bedroom and shower area were clean and well maintained. However there were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, but it did have a safe. The breakfast area overlooked the square and you could watch the queue forming for the start of the tram 28 route, which is very, very busy. There was a large selection of food on offer at breakfast time to suit most tast... Read more

This is a good 4 star hotel in a great location for Lisbon's main sites. We had a double overlooking the square on the 6th floor. Room was very comfortable and had a great view. Was a little noisy at night due to some youngsters hanging out in square. Breakfast was usual european hotel fair, nothing to shout home about. Rooftop bar was fun with good choice of cocktails which where priced as you would expect. Would stay here again

This is an average hotel, centrally located with tram service just outside the front door. Furniture in room has seen better days, but the room was clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the local green space and street directly in front of the hotel. We had dinner in the hotel and because we were with a group our dinner was preselected, so it was not what we would have ordered and did not care for it. That said the service at dinner was excellent as it was with all the entire hotel staff... Read more

Travelling from airport to hotel simple on metro and hotel just minutes from Rossio station. Rooftop Bar was great the first night but on the Wednesday it was taken over by 'the beautiful people' so it was packed with loud music. Not very restful so retreated to inside bar. Located near Martim Moniz place and Rossio station, this hotel is a convenient place to stay in Lisbon. Staff is professional, hotel restaurants were good and I got treated for my birthday with a bottle of champagne in my room. The area is just not very nice with drug dealers offering you doubtful substances at nightime just around Rossio.

Great location. Short walking distance to all the major attractions and dining options. Rooms are outdated. Breakfast buffet in mornings were good selection of hot and cold selections. Coffee was poor. Amenities lacking with no iron or board, only expensive laundry service through the hotel. Also no power adapters. Pillows like paper but u can order more from housekeeping.

In the centre of town, the flat bit, no more than 10 mins from the river, so an excellent base for visiting Lisbon. It is a comfortable mid range hotel with some nice features, not least the amazing rooftop bar with astounding views over the lower town and of the hills to left and right including to St George fort. The company we booked Hotel Mundial through went bust. So we expected the booking to either be cancelled or for us to be charged again upon arriving...not a problem. Firstly, they got me to keep checking with them to get the most recent status of the booking. When we were finally informed the booking was cancelled we were told they couldn't re book our room as they'd given it to someone else. Shockingly poor Hotel Mundial, you should be ashamed.

It was walking distance to some of the main tourist attractions - albeit via some steep inclines - but that's Lisbon! Greeted nicely by reception staff and checked in promptly. Complementary wifi, good sized room, clean and modern. Breakfast was to an acceptable standard. Hotel arranged a taxi for us to a brilliant restaurant (A Travessa). Unfortunately we didn't have time to have a drink in the roof top ba... Read more

Chose hotel for its central location, after reading previous reviews. We were on 2nd floor, with a view into the 'central courtyard' of hotel (utilities and outside dining area, rather than a pleasant view). We didn't notice any real noise. Room was as we'd expected. Firm double bed, good blackout curtains, standard and free of charge room safe, wi-fi was ok for our needs (low volume), adequate air conditioning, storage space, size etc. Didn't switch on tv but info said there were English channe... The hotel was very central to everything with a good view of St. George castle from my room. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooftop bar had a lovely view of the city. I would definitely recommend!

Warm friendly staff. Good size room. Breakfast was fine (not fantastic). Great location for the Castle, Barrio Alto and Lisbon in general. Rooftop bar was great with amazing views over Lisbon and looking up at the Castle. Would stay here again.

We were on a Gate One Tour, and this was the hotel chosen by the tour company. Pleasantly surprised with great breakfast, nice room and convenient location. It was a short cab ride to all the places we wanted to go. I would absolutely stay here again. Only disappointment was the one evening meal we ate there.

Very Well maintained and clean hotel. SUPER rooftop bar with amazing views over the city, the Castle, the waterfront,... Crowded breakfast. If you go, try to get a room not on the streetside, can be noisy in the mornings due to traffic. Very helpfull staff.

We had 2 lovely rooms with beautiful views. We enjoyed the fruit and free water provided on our first night. The rooms are comfortable and well laid out but more clothes hangers would be appreciated. The beds were very comfortable. The bath and overhead showers were fine and the bathrooms were a good size. We all enjoyed breakfast and rarely had to wait for a table. There was something slightly different to eat each day. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit selection and the little cakes. All ... Read more

Stayed here while on a globus tour, 3 days, our nightly rate was included with the tour, however it was reasonably priced based on our room and prices I'd checked on line. Roof top patio was really good, a little on the pricy side, but a treat so your going to pay a little more. Fantastic location too, we stayed an additional 4 nights after the tour at a different hotel up the hill and always ended up back in that neighbourhood. Good restaurants, mini markets and shops close by, as well as the m... Read more

This hotel is perfect for visiting Lisbon. Only 15 minutes from airport (?10 by taxi). The famous tram 28 starts its trip right outside the hotel. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was excellent. The rooftop bar is the perfect venue for a nightcap. The views are amazing. Even though there is a metro system, the trams are ideal. Most sights are within walking distance. Just be aware, the streets are cobble and there are lots of hills. Plenty of cafes and bars to take a bre... Read more
