We didn't felt comfortable at all and left the hotel after one night. The rooms make you travel back in time directly to the 70s....at least they were clean which was also indicated by the strong smell of chlore we couldn't get out even with open windows. Breakfast was ok except the cold scrambled eggs and the instant coffee they served. Positive was that the hotel is located near two metro stations and is also not far if you talk a walk downtown and that parking spots are provided.

I found this hotel very very basic. The (old guy) on reception was very unfriendly an not at all very helpful. Practically none of the staff spoke English. The bar area quite boring with no atmosphere and in desperate need of a restock they had no mixers except tonic water didn't know what soda, dry ginger or southern comfort were.Although the rooms were clean they were very basic. We were not told it was on a hill and not suitable for disabled people,

In fact, its museum - you can see and use original interiors and furniture of seventies (or,maybe, sixties ?) .Bathroom (stinks) is absolutely unique ,with original shower faucets from last century ,and no ventilation at all ! Flegmatic receptionists ,typical 3 star breakfast - but you must wait (sometimes 10 -20 minutes ) ,because there are just 11 tables....Elevator for max.3 persons (or two scandinavians ). Not advisible.

Excellent location within walking distance of the centre and right by the main avenue in Lisbon. Also close to metro and buses. Clean, has a bar and lounge which is unusual in this price range. Breakfast adequate. Staff friendly and spoke English.

I was surprised and pleased to find this well situated, cosy and comfortable, friendly hotel so close to the city centre, making it easy to walk to the tourist buses and main areas of this beautiful city. I found the hotel clean and well staffed, with a very helpful and willing front desk, excellent bar service and a good substantial breakfast to start the day. The bedrooms are basic but clean and comfortable with towels and sheets changed daily. There are many restaurants of differing price ra... Read more

I was very disappeared. Pictures on webside were very good, but the room looked very old and a little damaged. Breakfast very poor and soft eggs are not soft, but hard and you get them only when you come early.

Nice location and nice staff, however: -Locks doesn't work properly, you need to try several times to open the door -Rooms needs urgent refurbishment, old (let me say that the photographer who took the pictures was very good as the room doesnt look like in the pictures) -Breakfast is a mess, very few tables for number of rooms, when you are travelling on business you can't wait for a vacant table, i had to pick some bread and eat standing. -A/C doesnt work

This hotel is located in the upper side of Liberdade Avenue, close to Marques de Pombal Metro Station. The rooms are very dated. Its time for a renovation (in fact, they're renovating the fa├žade, I hope they include everything else). The service and the breakfast is good.

This is a small and old hotel. Don't expect any surprise. It has a great location in the city center, less than 5min away from subway or Avenida da Liberdade which is one of the main streets in Lisbon. Rooms have a balcony and a courtesy capsula cofee machine with offer of a coffe (expresso) in the first night. We arrived late and get out very soon. My room had an extra bed for my son so it was perfect for us. The hotel have a few parking places just in front that are not paid. If you travel wit... Read more

I will stay here again and will recommend it to friends. The location is brilliant! It is old and dated but it's clean and the staff are really nice. We paid Ô?Č112 for a double room for 2 nights!! We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but there are cafes close by for breakfast. Lisbon isn't a city to waste in your hotel room.

My husband, two sons and I stayed here last April for one night before traveling onto the Algarve. There are some good aspects to this hotel--it is inexpensive, clean, and in an interesting part of the city. Parking is free and right outside of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. However, if you stay here on the weekends, be aware that the noise from a nearby club in the evening is deafening. I'm not just talking background noise. The club music can be heard pounding through the rooms u... Read more

We stayed in room 103 (first floor). Situated at the front of the hotel with a balcony. We thought that the room was quite cosy and included was a TV, Mini-Bar, Hairdryer, Toiletries and heater/air conditioning. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels were provided. The bed was very comfy (two singles pushed together) and the pillows were plump and soft. The downsides were that the safe was broken and the traffic noise outside could be heard at all hours. This didn't bother us, but ... Read more

Centrally placed which is useful. Staff friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Could do with an update but room clean and a good size. TV only has the news but fortunately has a great wifi service to compensate. Coffee machine in the room, so as a tea drinker that it was disappointing that I could not boil a kettle to make a cup if tea. Overall a good hotel.
