I booked a room over the phone with them and they guaranteed the room. When I got there, I found out they had deleted my booking without even contacting me, with no reasonable explanation and they were fully booked. I had to walk around Lisbon to find another hotel.

Dom Sancho I is a small hotel with 3 floors very well situated. Only 10 minutes walk from the main historical and business places. Avenidade da Liberdade is the main avenue of the city. The staff at the reception is very kind but the room service is not very smiling. Rooms and bathrooms are not big and the decoration is quite old but for the location and the price it is a good deal. There is A/C. The breakfast is not great but we can always take one some 100 meters walk from de hotel .

They erroneously tried to charge us for an extra room, we had to argue the morning our plane was flying out. Our room was small, bathroom had a constant smell of sewage, beds are awful, and a bath towel was missing so one of us had to shower with a hand towel one time. Good location, but don't be fooled! They've dropped from 4 to 3 to 2 stars, and are well on their way to 1!

I swear the bed was just springs and foam. Very annoying to sleep on. I normally can sleep anywhere. The bathroom smelled of sewage even though the fan was on all the time. The room always was dark. When we went to check out, we were delayed a half hour. They insisted we didn't pay the bill, but we had in full. When looking closer at the bill, they were trying to charge us for an extra room. We had to pay extra for our taxi that was waiting that time to take us to the airport.

This hotel was in a good location near a metro but was not worth it. The beds were the worst I have ever slept in and the bathroom always smelled of sewage. At the end of our stay they tried to double charge our room. The front desk workers were not helpful and could not even tell us where a good place to eat was.

The Hotel itself was very average, tiny rooms, bathrooms was ok, although the shower was a little tricky, but the location tops everything else for me. If you are looking for something Luxurious, go elsewhere, but I was visiting many places and made Lisbon our sleeping point and this worked out perfectly.

We had read TripAdvisor reviews in advance about smells of sewage, noise and uncomfortable beds, and considered cancelling our reservation at Dom Sancho. However, when we got there, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a room on the 5th floor, equipped with VERY comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning and accommodating staff - with no sewage smells. We had no problem with our payment. The only complaint would be the price of the coffee in the rooms - which were 1.50‚?¨ for an espresso-sized... Read more

Location was good but beds were terrible and they tried to double charge our room. On the day we were leaving and we had our taxi waiting for us and when they found out it was their mistake they still did not apologize . We ended up paying double for our taxi than we should have. I will never stay there again.

PRO -The hotel wasn't hard to find when arriving on the metro but must go to second floor the first two floors were that of a medical center. CON- hotel rooms are beyond small ! You are almost climbing on the toilet to get in and out of the shower with how the glass door opens and the small quarters. The room itself felt like Grandmas attic and the bad kind of attic. Three uncomfortable kids Xs twin beds lined the wall immediately when you walked in the door. I was a solo traveler and can't ... Read more

Hotel is in walking distance to a lot in Lisbon, service is good, price is good, okay breakfast., helpful personnel. The room is nice, but do not expect a large room. Rooms have air-condition and is cleaned everyday. There are filled up with free coffee everyday. Rooms have a small to with many channels.

This is a relatively small hotel occupying just one floor in a commercial building, shared with medical clinics and other businesses. The accomodations are fair, but rooms (at least the one I got) are small. Good for singles. Couples may step on each other's toes (ok, I might be exagerating). It's clean and the bed is comfortable. The optional breakfast could be better, but is still acceptable. The main appeal for staying here is its excellent location, on the bustling and fashionable Avenida L... Read more

The place is definitely not a luxury property but who cares? It is clean. The location is convenient. It offers a good bed and a good shower. The staff was attentive and did not hesitate to help us. Recommended!

Entry is through a ground floor that is occupied by 2 medical clinics. Sick people sit in the hallway waiting for entry to the clinic. My room on the 3rd floor was tiny. The lock to the hotel parts on the 3rd floor was broken in the open position so anyone from the street could walk the halls of the hotel. The room looked into an airwell and so the window was frosted thus no view. Breakfast was boring.
