A hotel in in old school, using the school as theme of decoration. What a lovely creativity. You just have to see it. Rooms are excellent with great facilities: luxury bathroom, quality amenities. Food was great: good healthy breakfast. Staff is super. And then the price: so much value for money. But indeed it is out of the center of the city, for us not a problem as you can get there fast by cab. My stay, although short was very comfortable.

Thank you to all the amazing staff you really made our stay welcoming. Hotel da Estrela is a real gem set only metres from the Basilica da Estrela, Rato metro, Tram 28 and all other attractions are within easy reach. I was staying for a long weekend with my Brother and Dad to support my sister in the Lisbon Half Marathon. We had Room 17, one of the suites, and it was absolutely lovely with views over to the Basilica and in the distance the River Tagus. The facilities in the room were excellent a... Read more

First time in Lisbon and definitely pleased with the choice of hotel. After a ‚?¨15 taxi ride from the airport, I was welcomed by very friendly staff at reception. I was given a lovely big room with a handmade bed and huge bathroom (with a bath and large shower cubicle). (Room 6). It did take me a moment to realise the room numbers are lit up on the floor in front of the room door but my excuse is that it was late when I arrived. There is a restaurant open Tues to Sat which we've tried on 2 of ... Read more

When entering this hotel, you can almost hear the schoolbell ringing. The staff, friendly and helpful, very personal bring you to your "classroom" - everything is done very beautifully and with a playful cute style. The rooms are very beautiful and modern, but still personal. Small items from school, like a desk and a chair from those times blend in into modern furniture.

People working there are students of the Tourism. They were all very nice, helpful and always with a smile and that seems very simple but difficult to find and is something we really value a lot. On the other hand, the hotel has everything you expect from a 4 star, so very good.

At first I was concerned that the location of the hotel was too far away from the main city. This was quickly dispelled when finding we were a 5 minute walk to the metro. Being in the suburbs you have a more relaxed feel. Being an old school the decor reflects this...blackboards and unique carpet design. The staff are very helpful recommending restaurants close by. We stayed in a suite (a free upgrade...thank you) and found it to be very spacious and a great view to the city and river. The bed i... Read more

The hotel is attached to a restaurant and hotel school, and almost all of the staff are students there, very pleasant and attentive. The room was quite large with a wonderfully comfortable Hästens bed and a very modern bathroom with both shower and tub. Great breakfast buffet. The Estrela park and basilica are nearby, as is the Fernando Pessoa museum and many interesting cafés. A real gem.

A wonderfull small Hotel in the heart of Lisboa. The rooms are nice, the Bathroom great with bidet. WiFi is free, parking in the Garage not and the parking Situation outside difficult. The Breakfast could be better, but it is ok with warm and cold milk, coffee tea and juice.
