nice redesigned 70s hotel, but tiny bathroom, tiny elevator, confusing fire stair signage, ok reception staff, very close to subway station, no parking garage, reasonably well located, smiling staff :)

Hotel Alif Avenidas is a very convenient place to stay in Lisbon on business or leisure. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The daily rate was great. I paid ?57.00 a night with breakfast. If you are coming by plane and want to spare a few bob you can take the metro from the airport to the hotel. One of exits of the end of the Red Line is just in front of the Hotel. If you are bringing heavy luggage and want take the metro: you have to face a very good few steps.

We stayed here for 2 night, after escaping from a terrible other Hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Opening the doors, managing the suit cases. Very clean, modern, comfy beds. Price was great, 110 euro/2 nights without breakfast. We thought we will rather explore the city and not eat in. Parking is easy in the area.

Me and my girlfriend took a city break to Lisbon and chose this hotel to base our exploration! Finding this hotel from the airport couldn't be easier as the metro takes you right to the door stop! When we arrived the staff at the front desk couldn't do more for us, letting us know where the hotel is and where to see on a map. The room was incredibly clean and looked very new and smart. The shower was possibly one of the best I've ever used! Some reviews on here saying this was a dry hotel are in... Read more

Room on the small size but with a wide and nice bathroom very modern. Bed is comfy and well designed. For once, a bottle of water to welcome the guest.... The nice suprise is the breakfast: it is a usual continental breakfast but all FRESH (expcept orange juice) fresh fruit eggs cooked from the very same morning, good pastries and good bread. The only minus point is the bacon ; fried but warmed up in micro-wave...; disappointing. Comparing with all 4* I have stayed at in Lisbon this one beats th... Read more

A bit more hip and upscale than the nearby Principie Hotel (where we also stayed), probably worth a bit more for more recent remodel and larger rooms. Good alternative location, if a bit off the beaten track. I would check prices and stay at the Principie if it is significantly cheaper on a given day. Very near the metro, beautiful Gulbenkian gardens , and quirky Velo City cafe.

I have stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and found the hotel to be kind of average. The good things were that the hotel was next to the Metro (just six stations away from the main centre) and the staff was friendly. The bad or average things were the following: 1) Breakfast might seems misleading from the pictures. It's actually pretty small and it doesn't offer much. Staff did not refill the empty items when missing regularly. 2) Rooms are relatively small. The housekeeper has not replace ... Read more

This is a lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were reasonably large and quite comfortable. No real view, but that's to be expected in a city. It's located near the metro but not quite as close to the historic district as I might have liked. The breakfast wasn't included. Internet was free.

Great Hotel. Very convenient location to blue and red lines, and very close to most attractions in Lisbon. About 5 minutes to downtown, 20-30 minutes to Belem. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Gave us great recommendations for best public transportation methods to access different parts of the city.

Stayed for 3 nights and booked in again for a night on our return from the Azores. Great location, spotless clean, great breakfast, staff helpful and friendly. Tea and coffee in the room would have been nice. The bar only serves soft drinks but a nice little cafe next door serves cool beers until late. Only 15 minutes from airport 10 euros in a taxi. Taxi from airport charged us 20euros although only 10 on the meter, should have asked price before we got in.

Hotel Alif is very nicely located, near both red & blue metro lines... Very convenient to visit places of interest... near El Corte Inglise, another plus point.. Hotel staff are very helpful.. Rooms are a little small, but clean..

The hotel is very clean, and the staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Great hotel for the price you are paying. Excellent room with a great bathroom, safe, fridge with daily free water, free wifi and free AC. It is a bit outside the city centre, but no problem because it's right next to the metro. The breakfast is bad, contains of cereals, yogurt, white bread and jam, if you want a nice breakfast, live elsewhere. The beds are hard. If you don't mind a minimalistic breakfast, a hard b... Next to Sao Sebastiao station, which links to two of the major metro lines, with an avenue round the corner that has a string of unexpectedly good restaurants that don't require a train journey. Huge bed, good AC, very clean room. Buffet continental breakfast was quickly restocked and covered everything. Great staff. Cheap for what you get, recommended for a Lisbon city break.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our stay in Portugal. The hotel is situated on a pleasantly quiet street only a minute from the Sao Sebastiao station. This station links 2 of the major metro lines which is great if you plan to use the metro to get about a lot. We chose the location because we wanted to be close to a metro station which would bring us directly to the Airport as we had a very early flight departure. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are excellent. There is no ... Read more

Great little hotel, conveniently located - very easy to get to on underground. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Value for money. Close by some really nice little restaurants. Would recommend. Clean and well kept. Decent size room, with good big bed!

Spent 2,5 days in this hotel. It was a very nice stay. We came by car and parked the car in a 24/7 parking house since parking on weekdays is from 9am-7pm and every hour costs 1? but we'd definitely recommend the parking house since 1 day costs ?8,50. Minus point here though is that you can't take the car out if you take the cheap ?8,50 pre-pay for 24 hours. Parking on weekends outside on the roads is for free (what we did). The rooms are nice but quite small for two luggages but clean. A... Read more

I just recently stayed at this hotel and it was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nice; they had wifi, a fridge and a safe. It was very close to the metro stop (São Sebastião) and about a 6 euro ride away from the downtown core. I would definitely stay again!

When we got there the people were very welcoming and explained the facilities thoroughly. Nothing to do around the area, but the metro is convenient and a two minute walk from the hotel. The area around the hotel is very quiet and could be used for a nice jog in the morning or night.

We stayed for 2 nights in this very good hotel in Lisbon. It's located just 500 meters away from the amazing El Corte Inglés shopping mall. So, it very convenient if you are travelling and enjoy shopping and buying trendy and brands stuffs or simply want to choose something simple to eat or sofisticated food (in the upper floor of the shopping, with a 360º views of the city). Also, very convenient to explore the city. We were given a 2 separate beds room. The mattress is really good and comfy.... Read more

We stayed at Alif Avenidas with my wife in October 2016 for three nights. Our room (Nr.708) was spacious and having all amenities in good shape. Size of the bathroom was good and the shower itself was a good experience. Free wi-fi connection was adequate except for the breakfast room. Breakfast room is at -2 level but this doesn't create a problem because of the good design and lighting system within the room. Breakfast was good and consisting of coldcuts, cheese, smoked ham, fresh fruit, yoghur... Read more

The hotel is situated in a peaceful area within walking distance of the starting point of the hop on hop off busses. Alif Avenidas is a new and "modern" hotel. The rooms are small, only one chair in a double room. The bathroom is minimalistic, no room for placing own toiletries. Minimalistic breakfast room with rows of adjoining tables. Plenty of nice fresh fruit. But they don't know how to cook bacon. They have an area they call "bar", but they don't sell anything alcoholic, neither wine, beer ... Read more

Easy to get to / from this hotel to the airport and downtown Lisbon on the São Sebastiao metro line which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Hop on/off bus stop and the El Corte Ingles shopping centre are both a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I stayed in a small double room which was OK for one person but may feel a little claustrophobic with 2 people. The room was clean, comfy bed and had everything that I needed. Ensuite shower room was a good size with a large shower. The staff were friendl... Read more

We only spent a short amount of time at the hotel, most of which we were sleeping. But it was very easy to get to and from the airport, just a few stops (20 minutes), and the stop is right across the street from the hotel. The metro ride to central Lisbon was about 15 minutes. The staff at check in were pleasant and very helpful with local information. The rooms were clean and modern and the wifi was fast. We didn't see much of the area around the hotel, but it seemed to be a nice safe area, ... Read more
