This is our third visit to Lisbon using this hotel. It is very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. I love where it is situated , near enough to walk into the town and it's lovely port. If too lazy to walk a choice of metro stations are less than five minutes away. I love the rooftop pool where you can relax and enjoy the sun and chat with other guests if you want to. We will be back .

We stayed here 2 nights. Parking was available for the hotel and at a reasonable cost. Room was average with a comfortable bed. Service was good and because we are IHG members we were offered a free drink from the bar. We enjoyed a nice glass of Port as a night cap thanks to the hotel. The hotel is located a couple of blocks from the metro and a very easy metro ride to get around. There are a number of shops and restaurants just off the block where we enjoyed breakfast both mornings. Decent val... Read more

The exterior of the hotel does not look very inviting. However the rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean. The WiFi connection was for free and worked well. Breakfast was a bit disappointing: no variation.

This was a great hotel experience. Not the best location but ok. Great breakfast. Great rooms. Good bar to relax quietly. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. This place is worth the stay when touring in Lisbon.

I booked a standard room for one night here with club points and we were upgraded to a twin room with two double beds which was very spacious and clean. The bathrobes with the fresh apples were also appreciated :) After check out the staff at the reception rung to make sure we were happy and everything was ok, much better than other Holiday Inns I had stayed before. The location is ok, a few minutes to Saldanha station but bear in mind that this station had 3-4 exits depending on the metro line ... Read more

A very nice clean hotel with pleasant, helpful staff. A pleasant bar area in which to relax and have a beer after a day exploring the City sights. The breakfast was great and as would be expected. The second day was a little busy at breakfast, but this only serves to confirm the popularity of the Hotel. The only downside was that my room, being on the main street was noisy.

Good location, many nice restaurants nearby, the rooms are of good quality and so is the breakfast and restaurant. 15 minutes walk from nearest metro station (Saldanha or Alameda) which is okay. Swimming pool on the roof with beautiful view of Lisbon. Swimming pool is actually an extra convenience because if your flight leaves late you can leave your luggage at the reception, take a last stroll around beautiful Lisbon, take a last swim and shower at the pool, lunch or dinner at their restaurant... The Holiday Inn Lisbon is located between two metro stops about 800 m away from the hotel: Saldanha and Alameda; it is a quiet residential area, but just a few minutes away from restaurants and stores. A 25 minutes ride on the metro get you from the Airport to the Hotel. The room are very spacious and look recently renovated. Sleeping quality is excellent with plenty of pillows to choose from. Water boiler with coffee and tea supplies, a minibar (very silent) are available. Flat 32" TV with loc... Read more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Lisbon for 4 nights in May. The hotel was nice, clean, and had an updated bathroom. The beds in our room were too soft for us, but that may suit some tastes. This hotel is a quick 5 minute walk to the subway and also about 5 minutes from a bull ring and shopping mall. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood. You will need to take the train/tram system to visit the main sites of Lisbon - the Castelo, Santa Justa lift, Tower of Belem, etc. - they aren't wal... Read more

We were really lucky to get one of the few rooms with balconies and ours overlooked a beautiful day care and pastry shop. The beds were among the most comfortable I have ever encountered in a hotel and I felt embraced by cosy sleep. It was so clean, but without any nasty cleaning product smells (I have scent allergies). The room was spacious and airy. The rooftop dip pool was fun for a plunge and a nice cool outdoor shower with fantastic views of Lisbon. Perfectly situated close to two subways a... Read more

The hotel is a little run down - somewhat in line with Lisbon as a city. That's not to say it's not perfectly adequate and service at all times was fantastic. Whilst the hotel is close to the metro it's a little far from the centre of town. It's not necessarily a bad thing but something to keep in mind.

This is one of the first times I have stayed in a hotel & been unable to say anything negative about it. The staff were very friendly & remembered you & your likes & dislikes. Rooms were comfortable & clean, food was good. Location is a little way out of town but that doesn't matter because you are within walking distance of the metro station & there is a taxi rank outside the hotel.

This is a Very good hotel apart from the ancient air conditioning in the bed rooms! I set it on the minimum level, and while the fan rattled away the actual room temperature never dropped below 23 degrees. Apart from that the room and facilities a good. The small roof top pool was great and we used it on 2 afternoons when we had had enough site seeing. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

As a Priority Club member this is an average Holiday Inn I stayed at during a vacation. I did receive an upgraded room because of my Priority Club status and the upgraded room was much bigger than the standard room. The hotel is worn without a lot of obvious investment in the property. The room was ok, but our non-smoking room smelled like smoke (possibly coming in from other rooms on the floor). The hotel staff didn't offer any solution. The room wasn't serviced well..used drinking glasses... Read more

Holiday Inn in the US might not translate to 'premium'. But overseas/international locations, Holiday Inn is bigger and better. Lobby. Wide open with high ceilings, a children playing area, and a weighing scale to assist you on your departure luggage allowances. Room. We were traveling as a family so we got a Queen room with convertible sofa. The sofa was made with sheets and pillows when we arrived. 2 complimentary bottles of water and 2 candies were available to welcome guests. A nice ... Read more

Stayed here three nights midweek. Everything works and nothing is bad - we would stay here again without worry. Location is OK with a ten minute walk to two metro stations. Hills mentioned by others aren't so bad. About Euros 8 in a taxi to the airport and less to the tourist area of town. Big plus is the rooftop pool and bar which we used and enjoyed. Room was fine with two double beds, a bath and a shower, coffee facilities and good internet. Breakfast was 10 Euros each and Ok with a... Read more

Good hotel to stay a few days while on work trip. Simple breakfast food, and the rooms are quite. It's a little expensive for what we get. The main problem is there's practically no space to park the car, you need to have luck to find a place in their parking lot!

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel with a group of friends, all of us 50+ and all having booked single rooms. My room on the 9th floor with nice views over the city towards the sea in the distance. The bed was really comfy and the linen was good quality, as well as air conditioning the window opened on a safety catch, a real bonus for me as air con can make me feel ill. It had been a few years since our last visit to this hotel and very happy that it is still an excellent establishment. A short walk brings you to the Almameda area which has shopping and a few decent coffee shops. Check in/out: Smooth check in/out. Front desk reception and bellhop were very helpful. Rooms: Very spacious. No mini fridge in this location. Bathrooms are spacious as well. Beds were comfortable for me, but the others in my Group had back problems after the first night. Location: Further away from downtown area. Quiet area. It is about a 15 min walk to where the local busses/ tourist hop on hop off are located.

Hotel is clean and nice. Staff friendly and nice. Love the roof top bar. Was able to take my kids you for pizza and pop and hang out in the nice weather. Did not use the pool as it was almost always crowded when we were at the hotel. Taxis hand out in the morning to take you where you want to go. 13‚?¨ to get a ride to the monuments. Over all a great stay. And a big thanks to Patricia at the roof top bar, she was wonderful with my family!!!

In my opinion the hotel is absolutely ok. Rooms were clean and also the reception-staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the metro station is quite far away and the aircraft noise is audible clearly (night included). Breakfast is okay, but lunch was not that tasty (soup and noodles were unseasoned). What also attracted negative attention was the pool, whose water was cloudy. That made the impression the its water is not the cleanest.

It's a nice lovely hotel close to two metro stations. I had a 5 day stay for a conference. Only trouble I had was they do not provide free water bottles. At least one bottle a day must be provided. Its a norm everywhere. And, vegetarian food as last time is still a problem. Not many options, neither in the menu nor in the buffet lunch. May be vegetarianism is not so popular in Portugal but being a 4 star chain hotel I expect them to have good vegetarian options. There they need to improve. Other... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for a night and had a great time. The roof top pool has amazing views of the city. Stayed in a well appointed King suite and had lots of room. The only downside was the rooftop bar closed early the night we were there... could have spent a lot more time there! Great location, lots within walking distance, and a short hop over to the Lisbon airport.

Stayed there for two nights in July 2016. Good hotel, underground parking (paid). The rooftop pool looked real nice, unfortunately it was in maintenance during our stay so we couldn't use it. It was clean, tidy, spacious enough, the hotel has a pool which is a bonus in very hot temperatures it's tiny, but somewhere to cool off especially if you had kids. We chose this because the price was fair and in general you know what you are going to get with HI. It just makes the 4 stars it claims but 3.5 to 3.75 might be a bit nearer the mark. Rather ordinary throughout but everyone was friendly, everything worked and the one meal we had there was fine. Very friendly restaurant staff.
