I travel a lot on business in Europe and the Middle East, and this great little hotel is set to become one of my favourites. It has comfortable and spacious rooms, very good breakfast, a beautiful library looking out to the river, and best of all, it's staffed by courteous people for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely hotel very relaxing. We had a room upgrade and everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable they had a pillow bank so we could have softer pillows. The honesty bar and library made you feel you were trusted guests. Excellent breakfast again discreet service was much appreciated.

Very good location, quiet but in easy reach of museums and restaurants. Mess up with room (probably my fault) rectified with ease and indeed reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room comfortable and lovely bathroom. Breakfast amazing, including the scrambled egg (notoriously difficult to get right). Free tea and coffee and snacks available all day. Would definitely stay in again.

The common areas are lovely and spacious filled with marble, beautiful wood and interesting and unusual objects. The library, which others have written about was especially enjoyable. After a full day, to come there, enjoy the view with a drink from the well stocked honor bar and refrigerator, was a complete delight. The breakfast was excellent with a very wide range of choices inclu... Read more
