This hotel is very unassuming. Family run, looks are deceiving. on the outside it looks like a small crazy colored hotel with nothing much going for it...BUT you walk in and realize just how wrong you were... This prize is made up of 3, possibly 4 different little buildings with various size rooms and their own pools, all painted saturated colors...It all all really work somehow. the beds are comfortable, the showers are awesome and breakfast couldn't be better. Best of all, it's only about 500 ... Read more

This is a highly recommended hotel on TD and you admire it once you have stayed for a day or two. We arrived quite late and the hotel staff was warm and courteous. There are no butlers here so you have to pick your stuff up to the villa. The hotel is very close to Ponte da piedade and Camilo beach. In fact if you can stretch it, the city centre is also walkable. So location wise the best. The staff is amazing and gave us free wine knowing it was our honeymoon. Breakfast spread is good but could... Read more

These villas are tucked back off the road in a village style courtyard. The staff are so nice and helpful. We were fortunate to get upgraded so we have a kitchenette, balcony, bedroom, living area, and spacious bathroom. The finishes are very quaint and old world but the amenities are modern and newly done. There is one shared pool and several private pools. The restaurant next door is wonderful and has an excellent happy hour and very good food. It's such a welcome respite if you're a weary and... Read more

This little gem is situated about a 15 minute walk away from the old town center of Lagos, very near to Dona Ana beach. That might sound onerous but made it perfect for us: We were removed from the hubbub, but the hubbub was easily reachable when we wanted to immerse ourselves in hectic tourism. Otherwise, the days were tranquil, the weather (for us across 7 nights) was pretty much perfect, the staff was amazingly helpful, the room was superb, and the buffet breakfast was sumptuous enough that w... I've been putting this off but as I review all the places we go to I felt it only fair to review this one.First I must explain that the weather was quite bad, wet, cloudy, quite chilly at times. We arrived during early evening after the long trip from Faro airport; we have been to Lagos before so knew the route. The frontage was as we expected as we have walked past the residence before; the reason we booked was that it looked so lovely on the reviews and on the website of the company we booked ... Read more

We stayed for four nights in early June. The location is a 5-10 minute walk from the downtown core of Lagos, and very close to both Dona Ana and Camilo beaches, so a perfect place if you are planning to do lots of lounging. The place is very well staffed, with lots of amenities, great breakfast buffet. There are three small pools and plenty of lounge chairs in the central courtyard, and the absence of kids makes it all very tranquil.

Very clean, new and modern. Staff very friendly. We stayed in the duplex appt which is a villa 400m from the main block that has been converted into 3 appts and it has its own pool. It was fully booked, but most of the time we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast is lovely and can be found down in the main building. Beds very comfy, and nicely furnished. The town is around 1.5 kms away and we walked down to in the evening then had a taxi back. Nice beaches and coves around, nearest one is about... Read more

Beautiful layout. The pools were all available to us and there was plenty of room to sunbath. Rooms modern and clean. Location is the best in Lagos - super close to the beach and downtown. The staff was extremely helpful.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. Highly recommend for staying in Lagos. Breakfast is good as well. Only a few minutes away from some remote beach hideaways. Be sure to take the kayak tour that they recommend. Short walk to old town Lagos.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful experience at this charming locally-owned hotel. Our room was beautifully appointed, and its quirkiness added to the charm. We were greeted with two wine glasses artistically placed atop the bed behind the red mesh-covered sofa. There was a small kitchen and a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge. The breakfast was quite amazing, with a large selection of fresh fruits, cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, coffee and juices, and plentiful cava, served in a set... Read more

We had a suite which was very nice and clean and was not tired. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day and breakfast was extremely good for continental style. The only down side for my wife and I was the fairly long walk into Lagos centre approx 1km down hill going and up hill back (taxis available approx 6/7euro). Beaches were close by however large number of steps to ascend/descend. Villas Dinis was very quirky layout with nice pools which were never over crowded.... Read more

We fell on our feet booking this one! Quite simply it's superb! It's found a niche in the market by offering high quality rooms in a quirky villa setting! It's quite beautiful! Breakfast is lovely in a tranquil setting ! Three small pools adorn the grounds in a charming mish mash of apartments ! No small children allowed ! It's peaceful & has a hard working staff! Very close to a couple of beautiful beaches & a 20 min walk to the Old town! No qualms about recommending , don't be put off by the q... Read more

This is a charming little hotel in the outskirts of Lagos. Let us be honest. The breakfast is the best thing this place. Both the variety and the staff. The definition of suits here are something else than we are used too. We had a suit but we expected more. It was dark and not so romantic and welcoming. We have three concerns regarding the hotel. 1) The cleaning. It was not satisfying. We have to say even dirty and discussing. Especially in the bathroom. See photo. 2) The wifi. It was not fu... Villas D. Dinis is a very nice quiet hotel close to the beautiful beaches Dona Ana and O Camilo. Our room was very charming and had everything we needed: comfortable bed, rainshower, tv with movie channel and a nice patio just a few steps from the swimming pool. Loved the decoration of the room in a mixed style (tradional with modern vintage accents). The room was cleaned every day, also every day fresh towels. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and delicious cakes (pastel de nata!) The... Read more

My wife and I just stayed here for a couple nights in July and I wish we had more time because this place was great! The owner was extremely helpful and kind. He walked us through the grounds and to our room and kept asking if there was anything else he could help us with, so friendly. He helped us set up a kayak excursion for the following day as well. This boutique hotel is located right up the hill from a few amazing beaches, located right next door to a restaurant, bar and mini mart type sto... Read more

I can't say enough great things about this place. The room was huge! And very nice and clean. Quiet and I am a light sleeper. Literally the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. Location is perfect for the views and beaches. Not close to town by walking but, we didn't want to be close to town, we came to Lagos for the views not clubs. By car it's only 5 mins. This hotel only excepts adults only. The bed was very comfortable. The staff are the best!

A place to remember for a long time! The room we had was very beautifully designed and decorated. We was only planning to stay one night, but loved it so much, that we had to stay an extra night. It did make a difference to not have any children around, as this place is for adults only. The breakfast was fabulous and had everything we wanted. The staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make us happy...definitely worth a second visit x

Stayed here for four nights with my husband on our first trip to Portugal. The hotel helped us arrange a car service to/from the airport which was very helpful. Arrived later than anticipated for an already late arrival, but we were promptly greeted by hotel staff who helped with our luggage, got us checked in, showed us around and answered some of our questions for things to do the next day. They will help you arrange tours/activities which is very convenient if there is a language barrier. ... Read more

Stayed for three nights, we had a suite with kitchenette and terrace in the main house and it was so great ! The residence is different from most standard "plastic" hotels because of the architecture, the colours, the lush garden full of flowers and beautiful small decorations everywhere. It is very clean, quiet, the service is perfect, the breakfast is also very good. Each time in summer holidays I was looking for sea view and I knew, I wouldn't have it here but I had no regrets. We actually stumbled upon this place as our original location was overbooked on our last night in Lagos. We enjoyed Villas D Dinis so much that one night ended up being three nights! The location was perfect for our favourite beach - Praia Dona Ana. It was also just a reasonable 15-minute walk to the city centre as well as the other beaches. Our room(s) were clean and comfortable and the various pools were very nice. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff were friendly and engaging... Read more

An excellent location and experience staying at the Villas D. Dinis. The location is close to the center of town (1 kilometer) and the rocks and shoreline of the Algarves (800 Meters) walking and Carvi Beach is just a 3 minute walk away. The adult only location is nice as the atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. Our room was well appointed and unique with a private terrace and unique bathroom. There is nothing missing with your included breakfast which is generous with many selections to have.
