Spent a week here from the 2nd May. Why cant the staff in other hotels be as pleasant and helpful as here. It was my second time to stay here, last time was August 2013 as informed by the receptionist. The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable .New onsuite since my last stay. Breakfast was excellent.Great selection of breads and meats including Hot selection. It was my companions first stay, and she was delighted with it. Could not recommend this Hotel enough

Last time I reviewed this hotel after my visit in May 2015, I wrote that it was "as good as ever". Never thinking that it could ever get better. IT DID. We arrived this year to find a beautifully refurbished bathroom with a "walk in" shower rather than a shower over the bath. Brand new deep mattresses on the beds with a choice of pillows. The other aspects of this great hotel are still up to the previous standards

I booked this hotel after reading all the positive reviews and was not disappointed. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. The room was cleaned immaculately, with all the toiletries replaced daily (not always the case in hotels these days). The location was perfect, with close access to both the town and the marina where there are many restaurants and bars. The only improvement that could be made is in the restaurant. Due to the lack of space, access to the food was often difficult, with... Read more

I've just returned from a week at the Marina Rio. This was my first visit to the Algarve and I chose the hotel after many hours researching Trip Advisor, it was the numerous positive comments and its location that helped me make my choice and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I've nothing negative to say, I was spending the week with my mum whose mobility isn't what it used to be so location was perfect, a five minute walk across the bridge onto the Marina where there's a good selection of bars a... We stayed at Marina Rio for a week , our room had a view over the Marina and yes there is a busy road where the hotel is situated but that didn't detract from our stay. The staff were all very pleasant especially Miguel who helped sort out our safe , also Jorge who was on reception when we arrived and left. Our room also had a courtesy tray and our toiletries when replaced without having to ask. Fresh towels every other day. I would certainly go back to this hotel. I could say more e.g. small po... This hotel is truly one of the best hotels I've stayed! The staff was always "on", smiling, greeting and there to help with any request I had. My room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower was excellent! Even though I didn't have a marina-facing room, my room was quiet and I went up to the roof-top pool and lounge area to enjoy the views - as well as just walking out the front door to the marina which is virtually across the street! The hotel is of a high standard and is very well maintained the breakfasts are very good with fresh fruit, cereals, meat, cheeses, salmon and cooked bacon, eggs and beans. The party consisted of my wife and I, my parents and our eldest daughter with her partner and baby , All of the rooms were very well presented and clean. Stayed here last week, which was our 3rd visit. For us, the place to stay in Lagos, where else would you get such a wonderful view? Friendly and helpful reception staff, nice clean rooms with wonderful walk-in shower. Breakfast good and hotel amenities top notch, car parking adjacent for 1 euro a day out of season. Marina bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away over the footbridge. Old town is about the same distance offering more choice for traditional Portuguese cuisine. The only thi... Read more

This hotel has become to us like coming into a warm family home. From the time you arrive to departure being treated like one of the family all the staff cannot do enough to help ensure you enjoy a relaxing time in this family run hotel . We arrived very late after delayed flight but treated with a very warm welcome , room as we had asked for rear and top floor, you might have marina view but you get all the afternoon sun . Breakfasts a feast to behold , sets you up for the day no matter what yo... Read more

My friend and I stayed in this small hotel pretty much near the end of the tourist season in Lagos. It's really easy to locate coming from Faro airport right at the start of the marina road. The location is beautiful- definitely make sure to try to book a room with a Marina view if you can because the view is gorgeous. We didn't have this delightful view though, we rather had the view of the bus station at the back, but it was fine and not too bad. The bus station (and apparently also the train ... Read more

Excellent value, people extremely helpful, well located, good bed and shower, would definitely recommend for the price. Great balcony view directly opposite the marina. Enjoyed breakfast both food and room it was in and was easy paced enjoyable stay. Unexpected bonus for us was that the bus terminal was right behind the hotel ( didn't hear any noise however)

As the title says. Our 2nd floor room had a balcony and a wonderful view of the marina. If you like that sort of thing. And I do.There is a bus station is next door so access to public transport couldnt be easier. Town centre just around the corner, lots of bars, shops and restaurants .As is usually the case in this hospitable country (with the possible exception of Albufeira) the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel itself is fine for the money, no issues there.
