Centrally located, the building and rooms could do with a little sprucing up, they are quite old. Otherwise, the hotel is ok. The service was mediocre. Breakfast is great, a great selection. Overall, the hotel is well priced and well located.

Old fashioned but full of charm. Friendly staff. Very clean. Good Wifi. One minute walk to shops, bars, restaurants. Ten minute walk to rail and bus stations. Continental breakfast adequate. Paid £28 per night and got a twin room. No balcony, but most rooms do, I had access to a sun terrace on third floor. Very pleasant. Will return and would recommend.

One week in lagos, staying in the lagosmar hotel. Central location close to the best restaurants and bars, but in a quiet side street. Helpful staff, nice rooms, good selection for breakfast. Beach is just a. 20 minute stroll away.

Excellent one week stay, friendly staff, free wifi, best central location to restaurants, bars, excursions, tours by boat, shops, great walks. However, breakfast room not well arranged and quality of coffee is below Portuguese standard.

Had a 3 night stay from 19-22 May. Booked there due to the very good price and location. We had room 211 with a very good sized balcony looking over to the Meia Praia. Rooms are adequately equipped (dated bathroom but everything functioning properly). Clean linens and cleaned daily. Breakfast buffet was perfectly fine, offering a continental spread. The rooftop terrace was very spacious and had chairs and just a couple of sun loungers. Reception were really helpful. Only one negative fr... Read more

Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Location is amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again. Great Value. The rooftop Terrace is a great added bonus, and there are lots of grocery stores, restaurants and bars nearby but its still quiet at night.

This hotel was quite hard to find after our driver got lost so many times through the narrow streets. However, this hotel is clean, rooms are spacious (ours has a verandah), beds are comfortable although there is just one pillow per bed, washrooms are clean and has a big closet too. Once you go down the stairs, you will be met w/ tons of restaurants and stores and the marina is very near where you can take a boat tour. The bus stop is just a few steps from the stairs. The breakfast is included a... Read more

This is a basic 2 Star hotel. The hotel was very clean throughout, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and works well with no problems. We had a room at the front which has a fully opening small window. As there is A/C in every room we never opened it. Somebody mentioned that it is noisy at the front, but we did not find it so. The rooms at the back are twin rooms, and larger and have a verandah, which is ideal if you want to smoke outside. The... Read more

Booked in here for ten days and had a lovely stay. B and B could do with a boiled egg or two but nice people great location and great value. Lagos is a lovely town with great beaches and boat trips. Can get chilly at night even in July. We were here for the Euro semi finals. Good timing or what. Good luck Portugal. See you in Lisbon next time.

If you read my comments you will notice that i like budget and fair places, and this is another one of them. Here you will stay in historical center, friendly staff, clean room and reasonable breakfast. The only problema was the breakfast, is to simple... Overall the experience was fair.

This place ticked all my criteria. A perfect small hotel in the old town with white buildings around me and winding cobblestoned streets and a nice window. It was very, very affordable..but had all the facilities included, like lift, free wifi, free breakfast, a nice terrace, and just round the corner from town square.

The hotel is steps from one of the main streets, with a great pastry/coffee shop right nearby ( Taquelim Gonsalves ). The hotel itself is not very special. The bathrooms have shampoo/soap dispensers in the showers that make you feel like you are in a public bathroom... Not the best. The included breakfast wasn't anything special, but you get what you pay for! The bed was comfortable, along with the pillows. The staff was very nice. Our room, which faced on to a main street, was very quiet... Read more

Hotel Lagosmar is located off of the main square in Lagos. It is a convenient 10 minute walk to the bus station and to the beaches. The hotel feels quite dated and our room had a strong musty smell that was more noticeable on some days than others. The pillows in our room were extremely lumpy. The breakfast was okay, but there was no variety from one day to the next. The wifi was consistently good during our stay.

Service was excellent from everyone we dealt with. The room was perfect for both of us. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The hotel location was just what we wanted, easy to get around places & also quiet enough so we could relax in peace. We enjoyed our few days in Lagos & we are looking forward to going back again next year.

Very nice, centrally located and with comfortable rooms and a good sleep. The air conditioning did make a difference and our stay was very pleasant even with the scorching temperatures outside. The breakfest is good, and there is also a cosy terrace. Definitely recommended.

Such a good time at this great hotel. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was great, room was really clean and very cozy! Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Lagos! They even have a special deal at the main park of the city!

Great localization, the room were clean, air conditioning was ok. The breakfast is good but is always with the same products, they could vary a little bit the bread, cakes and/or fruits. If you stay a long period there it could be a negative point.

My partner and I stayed in the Lagosmar from Weds 31st Aug until Weds 7th Sept. In this time we had no problems at all with the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and always spoke to us either if we were going out or coming back in. Breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for the day - breads, cakes, cheese, meats, fruit, yoghurts and cereals along with a machine to make coffee, there was also a selection of tea's which you could have as well, also an option of juice too. PROS The location was amazing and made the hotel stay worth it. Located right by the old town, but down a quiet street. Everything we wanted was within steps. Air conditioning worked well, which was essential for our stay during the summer heat wave. Wifi also worked well throughout the hotel. The hotel was good value for the price. The staff was friendly and offered to help us make dinner reservations or to book excursions for us. CONS The facilities were very outdated. Our room had... Read more

I will start with the good parts: it is very well located, 50 meters away from the city center, but on a street that is quiet. It doesn't have a parking place, but it does allow you to use a nearby public underground parking for half the price that you would normally pay. Just don't forget to ask about it at the reception as soon as you arrive. The room was quite clean and the cleaning service was also very good. Air conditioning is provided and is very useful to have it there, especially if goi... Read more

Great location. Close to the central square and all the restaurants but on a quiet side street that has little traffic. Also within walking distance of train and bus stations. (About 10-12 minutes walk). Wifi was better than my Lisbon hotel but my room was close to the office. Clean room and mine was about twice the size of my Tavira hotel for 30 euro less in price. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast. In short, this is a great budget hotel choice. If you want to be wowed by decor, plu... Read more

I was very pleased with this hotel, room was very quiet and clean, breakfast was a good selection of cold meats, fruit, yogart cereal, bread and cakes, also had coffee machine and selection of teas. The roof terrace is lovely with nice views of marina. The hotel is very close to town square and about 10 minutes walk to beach. staff are very friendly and helpful, I would definately stay at Lagosmar again and will recomend it to friends.

Had a great stay at Lagosmar. The location is absolutely perfect with a short 10-15 minute walk to Praia Dona Ana, Praia do Camilo and other beautiful beaches. At night you can walk right out of the hotel and find yourself in the middle of the "old town" with lots of good restaurants. The breakfast is quite simple, but does the work.

Definitely the best, we like everything here, the room was so clean. nice and cozy. The concierge was so kind, polite and she offers us all the information about the areas around, where should we go, what are the best places for us to see. The breakfast was good, fresh every day and the staff so warm and polite. It was a pleasure for us to stay there. The hotel was located right in the middle of the historical center that was a good bonus.

Lagos is a great tourist town close to the beautiful and rugged southwestern coastline. The Lagosmar hotel is nothing special however. The rooms were comfortable, but access is a bit difficult. Parking is a few blocks away. It is very convenient to the pedestrian old city area with many very good restaurants close by.
