This is a very comfortable hotel with a very helpful staff. The location was very convenient to restaurants and to the center. Courtyard was a lovely place to have breakfast. We liked sitting on the balcony. The parking was available for a small price.

Tiny clean room - so dont bring much with you - Best to stay out all day and only sleep there. Some things do need fixing in the room. Found the front desk staff to be distant. The man at the front desk is always preoccupied, and we felt as if we were bothering him when asking a question.

For the price paid, I could not have asked for better. Only a few minutes' walk from the centre of everything but a peaceful street so not much traffic or other noise. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful - the receptionist always knew who you were and had your room key ready as you returned to reception. The breakfast was adequate for a hotel of this rating and for those not caring for diluted orange juice, freshly pressed was available at a very small cost. My room was at th... Read more

Myself, Mum, daughter and I stayed at this hotel at the end of May this year in a triple room. The hotel is very conveniently located - the train and bus stations, old town centre, and restaurants are all a short walk away. A 'new' shopping centre is also a ten minute or so walk away, and has a good selection of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself was the perfect place for our stay. It was clean and welcoming, with a continental-style breakfast. Good value for money and and a great place to... Read more

Stayed here last night to shorten our early trip to Faro airport to return home. Although the hotel is a bit dated, the staff were an absolute delight. They couldn't do enough for us, booked us an early taxi and even made us a take away breakfast. It is handily situated just a short walk from Faro centre, with plenty of good restaurants, shops etc to choose from. I recommend this hotel for the price. PS The taxi to the airport was 10e

Booked this for a short break on the advice of reviewers here...thank you. It's a bargain and should be reviewed on that basis. Top floor too overlooking the street... It's not that noisy and nice to have a balcony. Small room but clean, everything WiFi, aircon, shower etc. Short walk to everywhere...bus station, marina, bars...and reception staff are friendly and helpful....would definitely come back.

Like others have reviewed, this hotel is worth more than its 2 star rating. We usually stay 4or5* but were totally comfortable here. It is very clean with all basic needs met. For the price it is great, especially with the continental breakfast. I was worried the room would be too small but it wasn't. The bed was not new but I slept better here than I have in some flash hotels! The shower pressure was awesome. The cleanliness was second to none. Don't be put off by the street surroundings when y... Read more

The hotel is excellent don't be put off by the surroundings which are a little run down . The bedrooms are very clean but a little small . The front rooms can have some street noise . The breakfasts are excellent and can be taken in a courtyard on good days . The hotel is well positioned for the marina and town centre .

This is a budget place! Dont expect a fancy place. Here you will be very close to historical center, friendly staff, clean room and reasonable breakfast, if you need you can pay to have a more complete breakfast. Overall the experience was pretty fair.

Great hotel in the old town. Close to locally used restaurants & churches etc etc Great staff with good English which I need as Portuguese is not one of my languages. A great place, comfortable beds etc etc

If arriving late at Faro airport this budget hotel could be for you and is only a 7 Euro short taxi ride away. It is an unpretentious 24 hour venue offering excellent value with very friendly and helpful staff. Although located in a back street it is only a short stroll to the marina and the late night bars and restaurants. Free buffet breakfast which can be taken either in the main dining area or in the delightful open courtyard. The rail and bus stations are close by and easily walkable even ... Read more

Lovely hotel in the old city of Faro. We had a family room which would have slept 5 for very reasonable price, located right off the outside breakfast terrace. Underground parking available, and lovely breakfast also included in room rate which was quite reasonable. We did not have long to stay, but did go to the Faro Beach out by the airport which was lovely.

A great budget hotel with a warm welcome and in the centre of Faro ten minutes to the airport . Reception staff spoke perfect English and are very attentive. Although a old hotel and basic it is exceptionally clean and as we were leaving very early a packed breakfast was supplied for us all .

We had a nice stay at the hotel. Location is great, close to old city, bus station, easy access to the airport, Hotel is very clean and we were very happy with the service, from that point of view. Breakfast was good, but exactly the same all the 7 days that we stayed there. Didn't like the fact that they charged extra for espresso coffee considering that the american coffee that was included in breakfast was very low quality and weak. Bathrooms definitely need some sprucing up, faucets were old... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay - this hotel is exactly what you need - clean, friendly staff (especially the older man on reception), spacious, well-appointed rooms (with air conditioning), and a tasty continental breakfast. We stayed for 5 nights and were extremely happy with our stay. You couldn't really beat the location - just a few minutes walk from the bars, attractions and the harbour. The only downside is that noise carries between the rooms - I recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a ligh... Read more

We stayed here for one night after an evening flight, arriving at approx 10pm. Hotel Receptionist was very welcoming (which was more than could be said about the taxi driver who drove us from the airport, a very rude grumpy man who tutted the whole journey as though our fayre wasn't enough for him; not really a good representation of Portuguese people who are very friendly!) The Reception is 24hour and so it's no problem arriving late at night or early hours. We were personally taken to our roo... Read more

Just stayed the one night but would recommend this hotel for a short stay as well as a stopover. Good location close to the station, bus station and old town. Hotel decor is a bit dated but very clean, tidy and comfortable. Appreciated the breakfast in the internal courtyard. Only downside for me is that this part of Faro old town is looking a bit run down now.

We had 2 family rooms for five of us. The rooms had beds like in student halls, stinky and the toilet/shower so small that one person could barely stand in the shower. A 16 inch TV which probably became obsolete 20 years ago still there as a showpiece - we could not find cables to connect to anything. Rooms were outside the breakfast lounge and had no ventilation/window. And the price - even for peak season - at Eur 115/night was daylight robbery for this quality. Even in Lisbon, we had several ... Read more

Clean, quiet and friendly place. We had some difficulties in finding it at night, coming from the airport. But the receptionist (24 hours) helped us out. Free breakfast is served as buffet, you can eat in a nice patio with fountain. For 1,50? you can order fresh orange juice.

Rooms a good size, breakfast good and can sit in a nice courtyard to eat it,can get full english at the cafe they own next door but continental in hotel.Hotel in good location near the centre but a lot of the buildings around it are in poor state. The friendliness of the staff is a bit hit and miss but a lovely man on reception in the evenings and one of the cleaners left my nightie with a very decorative fold one day which was a nice touch! This hotel is probably ok for the price you pay but we were not happy with the service , staff asking you to leave your room key behind when you go out ? Strange ,but ok.. shower room is very small, door is broken, water temperature either too hot or too cold, you barely fit in it. room is small and old. No fridge . Tiny TV. Breakfast was just awful. Everything tasted bad. If you want REAL orange juice you pay, we laughed at this. Laundry is ?1 per peace, a rip off. Parking you have to find in... Read more

Basic hotel, our room was small facing onto the street. We noticed there were better rooms with balcony but no availability. Bed uncomfortable. Dodgy air con. Friendly informative staff. Continental breakfast very basic & low quality. You can ask and pay for full breakfast. Nice outside eating area. Great location central Faro & bus & train stations.

We stayed one night, had a front room facing the street, very small. Staff were helpful in printing our boarding passes but the man in reception was very abrupt. Did not have time for breakfast except a cup of coffee as early flight but would stay again, very clean, would just ask for a better room.

Spent five nights OK but tired hotel/ our room was small /bathroom had cracked sink and towel rail coming of wall. Staff Rute Shivish (sorry if wrong spelling ) and the gentleman at night were most helpful and friendly. Breakfast bland basic but edible , coffee awful. Hotel ideally placed for travel and sightseeing arrange trips yourself and save money (hotel 12 Euro taxi 2.2 Euro bus from airport) (free bus to shopping centre from hotel) overall disappointed.

Pros: good location ....short walk to town. Sufficient, basic breakfast. Cons: bed very uncomfortable and I woke up backache and with bug bites, shower is tiny and has no temperature control valve so I was scalded and frozen during my shower. Have stayed in a variety of hotels and Airbnb over three weeks in Portugal. This place was disappointing value for the money compared with others.

Our double room was tiny and barely acceptable, the worst in a tour of nine Algarvian hotels. The morning we left, we could see that, despite the hotel being fairly recently built, the rooms do vary in size. If we'd had 60cm rather than 30 around the bed, we'd have been a lot happier. Our room faced the street but we slept fine. Breakfast average.

Though my room was supposed to be a double room, it was still very small, so small that I could not even open my suitcase. I wonder how could it fit 2 person in it. The plus was that it had a balcony overlooking the street. However, it got quite noisy when cars and drunk people passed by. Breakfast was average. Location was excellent as it was just 5 or 6 minutes walk from the train station and not far from the old city center.
