I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights having booked through an online hotel booking site and, whilst this hotel is never going to win any awards for it's facilities and style, it gets a big thumbs up from me for it's great value for money and central location. The hotel itself is pretty basic, but if you are looking for a low cost hotel with reasonably comfortable bed, clean rooms, continental breakfast, a bar and friendly staff, this ticks all the boxes. The breakfast alone was an absolut... Stayed here 1 night in this family owned hotel. Friendly staff, free parking in front of the hotel, basic room but it has all you need for a one night's stay. WiFi only works on the ground floor in the bar, which is quite cosy. Just a 10 minute stroll to the centre. Good breakfast. Read the signs in the breakfast room and you'll know how they deal with the hygiene here. Rooms are therefore also very clean. Highly recommended!

Decent place for people who don't want to spend a lot of money for stay. The room was clean and being cleaned everyday by the service, that is what actually mattered to me the most. The only one disadvantage I found was lack of a fridge. 5 mins walking from the train station 10 mins from the old town. Good hotel for reasonable price

I just spent two nights at the Alnacir and it was a pleasure.- and excellent value for money. The staff is fluent in English, attentive to special requests and up-to-date about southern Portugal and it's amazing attractions. I needed to rent a car and they immediately offered to have it delivered to the hotel - and dropped off there at the end of my stay. That's service! I liked the staff - they're real people...

Reception very help full, clean, good, possibility's to park in the area. Perfect for 1 or 2 nights. 10 minutes away from the city by feed. 5 minutes away by car from a big shoppingcenter, but better walking, not losing your nice parkingspot. 10 minutes from the airport

My friend booked this hotel.. I was a bit concerned with the fact it was only 2 star but I was surprised. The room was really tidy, we had air con and TV. I wouldn't tell being there that it was only 2 star. We had clean sheets and towels every day. Not to mention the lovely breakfast place next door. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

This hotel was far nicer than perceived in the pictures. It was very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and willing to help out for any inquiries you had regarded the area or the hotel. I personally did not think Faro was a great place to stay as there isn't much to do, but the location was good regarding getting around Faro. Very near the train station and the shopping mall at the other side was fantastic. Overall, would highly recommend if you chose to stay in Faro. Very good va... Read more

Yes the beds could have been more comfortable, yes the rooms could be bigger and yes the lifts could be more modern, but the service was kind and efficient, breakfast pleasant and the bar perfectly formed. We spent an evening with Hotel Alnacir and would thoroughly recommend others do the same.

Just returned home after 6 nights at this hotel. Very clean rooms, friendly help desk and great location. Bus station and train station are only 10 min walk away. The only two downfalls were no wifi in rooms, had to go in reception to catch a signal. And secondly disappointed having to pay extra to get breakfast only to find that there was no hot breakfast served at the hotel! But all in all, i would recommend this hotel!

Stayed here for one night with family, it was clean, with the best shower I've had in a long time! It doesn't look much, decor is dated, bathrooms are dark and a bit dingy looking, thin walls (could hear next doors conversation) and dining room in the basement. But the staff were very lovely and very helpful, as stated before the rooms were clean and it was a very reasonable price. There is also brilliant air-con in the room, something I didn't expect for the price.

This is the worst hotel in my whole experience. The thing that I cannot forgive is that people running this kind of business should be very welcoming and should know how to deal with customers. You would never see a smile here, I don't know what was wrong with them all. I asked to print the boarding pass and they said it would cost one euro per page. I have never been asked in a hotel to pay for that, unbelievable! How can you, owner of a hotel, not understand that if you were kinder and nicer, ... Read more

This hotel has a very old feeling to it, it costs around 6-7 Euro in uber to reach the hotel from the Faro Airport. The location is good as it is 5 min walking distance from the Train station. Thankfully there was someone at the reception when we reached around 1am. The rooms look very old especially due to the bedsheets. Bathroom is small but manageable. The room was clean. Breakfast was provided was continental and was not bad. We just had to stay for few hours to sleep so we were okay with it... Read more

Myself and my children recently stayed at this hotel because my husband fell ill whilst on holiday and was admitted to Faro Hospital. I was very vague as to how long we would be staying but they always tried their very best to make sure we had a room to stay in even when they had to 'juggle' things around. The hotel was very clean and the staff always polite and helpful both to myself and my sons. The breakfast was varied and fresh. I cannot praise them enough for all that they did for us du... The hotel has a great location, close to the train station and to city centre (10min walk to each). The rooms are clean and the bathroom is big and has a bathtub. Furniture is a bit out-dated but beds are comfortable and rooms have air con.

1970s/early 80s built hotel which looks almost stuck in time. Very basic and showing its age but spotlessly clean and comfortable enough. The hotel has a simple bar and lounge area but it's less than ten minutes stroll from the bars and cafes in the centre. Ideal for a quick stopover of a night or two. A word of warning, however; the two lifts are not for the claustrophobic - one of which is big enough only for two people without luggage - so if you don't know anyone you share the lifts with, yo... Lovely, very clean, centrally located hotel. Just a few hundred yards from town centre, train & bus station. Amazing to find a 2* hotel with 24 hr reception, hairdryer, complimentary body wash & shampoo, lovely clean rooms. Nice standard Continental Breakfast for just a couple of quid, can't go wrong with this one. Staff are very helpful & friendly. Would not hesitate to book here again.

The number 16 bus took us from the airport to the hotel in 15 minutes. If you are looking for a good basic hotel you will not do far wrong with the Alnacir. The whole place is spotless. They provide a good continental breakfast. They provide body wash and shampoo in the bathrooms and a very good shower with piping hot water. Friendly people at reception and a small bar / sitting area which you can get a nice coffee at for less than 2 euros. Very easy to locate and to walk to and fro from. A 10 m... Read more

This is exactly what you want in a hotel -- comfort and ease, and they work to keep the riff-raff out (I saw it first hand). Elevator to your room, quiet place, friendly staff. Clean and simple and the taxi driver knows the way.
