Hotel is in a great location close to the beach and old town, it is surrounded by some great little bars. The rooms are cleaned everyday and clean towels supplied, this is a basic hotel but if you are paying £20 a night you really cant go wrong. Having said that we were allocated room 300 which is in reception, the room its self was fine but the inconsiderate people who come past the door thinking its ok to shout and scream at 4am are a joke! this is no fault of the hotel but have some cons... This is my third visit to this honest little hotel but in truth its "vintage" charm is beginning to slip over into serious decay. The staff were as usual polite and efficient, the rooms were kept clean and tidy and its position only 10 minutes from the town square is still a compelling reason to stay. That said, the owners need to reward the faithful few with a serious maintenance program. My room had a shower cubicle that was almost in a state of collapse and the sunbeds are ancient. Vila Rec... Had 9 nights there on 16th may 2016. After reading some reviews, I was a little concerned BUT for a small budget hotel, I found it very good. Pleasant staff, clean rooms, towels changed daily and 10 mins slow wander down to the Old town. Didn't use the pool as there were towels out early each morning (Mainly English there, so can't blame the Germans either!!) Though, the beach is so near, that why would you want to lie there every day! lol Will be returning next year. Excellent value for money H... Read more

This is the second time we have stayed here and is ideal for a cheap , clean & friendly hotel ideally situated just up from the old town square. Although we didn't use the pool it was a bit on the small side & not many beds. Rooms are basic but clean & tidy , towels change everyday , along with maids cleaning on the 6 out of 7 days we were there.

Rude reception staff. Tiny, ill-equipped rooms. Don't waste your time and money. Book somewhere else. I even asked the night manager for a light as I'd list my lighter and wanted a cigarette. No chance. He was not only unhelpful but downright rude. I can't believe that a hotel doesn't have so much as a match lol

Just returned from a week stay here, and you couldn't ask for a better location, beautiful views from almost every balcony (higher the better). A short walk to the main square where you're spoilt for choice with restaurants and bars. From mine and my girlfriends view, the hotel staff were very helpful, helping us with excursions and bus timetables etc. One thing I will add which let the hotel down is the breakfast, don't pay for it, save your money and get one on the beach for cheaper than a Cok... A small and basic hotel. Rooms were also very basic but clean and good sized. Mostly older people (Brits) staying here and overall very quiet. The breakfast was also very basic, nothing special but did the job. The buns were very nice and fresh, to make cheese and ham sandwiches. Front desk service was helpful and mostly very friendly, depending on who was working. Strange that to borrow a hairdryer from the front desk you had to leave a deposit of 10 euro...every time. Great base and 4th time in this hotel - on a girlie holiday. Most of us were pleased with our rooms, but some are better than others but always clean. It's in a safe area and easy to walk to some great resturants. We don't usually pay for the breakfast here because there is so many other options. One of the beach front resturants do a lovely breakfast for 2.80 euros for example.

Good location close to the square and beach. Now the downside! Balconies very small and unable to use really. No toasters for self catering and you had to ask for a kettle! the hotel was excellently placed and the staff were friendly. The rooms were basic, but clean. The breakfast was monotonous, albeit filling. It was exactly the same every day. We were assigned a room on floor 2 and was facing the road, so had no privacy from roadside. A net curtain would have solved this. The pool was nice, but as the pool area was a heattrap, a few more umbrellas were essential. It was reasonable value for money, solely due to closeness to old town square. It does need a better... Super location for taking the short walk into town or down to the beach but be warned. When we stayed here our room smelled of turps for the first couple of days.
