We were warmly welcomed and taken to our room even though our arrival was past midnight (much appreciated). Double 'Classic' Room (half-board) - with balcony, leading onto larger shared area of balcony space - well equipped with fridge and basic crockery and even a bottle opener/corkscrew too :-) Lovely view over garden pool area which we found perfect for relaxation, sunbathing and reading. Larger pool and terrace area the other side of the building next to the restaurant. Food was wonderful... Read more

This holiday was a spur of the moment thing (booked less than a week before we were due to fly, so please bare this in mind when reading my review). I will begin with the appearance and the décor. We'd researched this place prior to booking (regardless of short notice, as knowledge is everything). The place looked fantastic, so I was a little disappointed when I arrived and found that the hotel did not look exactly as it does in the area surrounding the pool side (This is what I assumed). From the time I got there with my four friends we were made welcome, you never know what to expect when you go somewhere new, we got dropped off by the coach on the main road and the driver pointed to a driveway, well, we looked over the road to see two massive blocks of white and concrete grey apartments, we were in shock as we thought that was where we were staying, but when we crossed the road and went down a small driveway we found our hotel tucked away from all the noise of the main road, w... Nice and quiet. Polite staff, I would stay there again what you should bare in mind is that it's 25 minutes walk to the strip and 45 minutes walk to the old town and that is walking briskly. But taxis can be ordered from the reception and buses run at regular intervals. There's lots of restaurants and bars in the old turn that are definitely worth checking out too

Beautiful clean comfortable rooms, excellent facilities and the staff are absolutely amazing especially Carlos from the pool bar and Jose (the world's greatest cocktail barman) from the sports bar. We only booked for five days and wish we had booked more......we are going to book another ten days at the Balaia Mar in September before we leave!!!!!! ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Me and my friend spent 4 nights at this hotel and we loved it. The rooms are very basic but are clean, comfortable and you have everything you need in there! Upon arrival on our first night we got to the hotel late, we wanted food but the restaurant at the hotel was closed. The wonderful man at reception (he was just fantastic the whole time we were there) offered to order us pizza from a local restaurant - this was ideal as we were tired and didn't want to venture out until the next day. We couldn't stay in the apartment in the day time for the noise, banging, drilling all day every day, they show a supermarket but it was closed all the time we were there, no entertainment at all, the beach maybe 400 metres but it is a steep hill, outside the complex there is a small supermarket opposite but anything else is a very long walk or you can get a bus or taxi, we hired a car just outside the airport, very good value for money (car rent),

We were actually in the balaia apartments not the hotel itself. The apartment was spacious however very dated, especially the bedroom and living room furniture. We went half board and wasn't overly impressed witht the food. Breakfast would of been good if it wasn't cold and the choice at dinner was very limited, pretty much the same every night. Desert options also very limited. Another problem we found was depending on what bar you bought drinks from, the prices were different. However service ... Read more

The room was nice, although the bathroom is quite small (this didn't bother us too much!). We had b&b - the breakfast was perfect with plenty of choice. The apartment is comfortable with ac in both rooms. It would be better if there was ac at the setting room. These year the animation at the main pool was a very negative point. many people and families like mine want to rest and a quiet pool, and not an all day drumbeat! With all inclusive it's ok (I think it could have a better meat ...). All seen it's a nice place to spend a week or more.

Great hotel with helpful and friendly staff, a good selection of food. We were bed and breakfast only and the selection was outstanding. Room cleaned everyday and fresh towels. A bit of a walk into albuferia. The beach 5-10 mins away with waters ports. The hotel could do with supplying parasols at sunbeds to get a bit of shade if required as gets very hot.
