we came here last year as 24 golfers and decided to return after having a brilliant time. The accommodation is huge and we upgraded to junior suites this year and we were not disappointed. The rooms are very clean and spacious with televisions in all rooms and extremely large showers. The hotel now seems to be owned by tui and this year it was extremely busy but there was still plenty of room in the restaraunts and no problem getting your drinks at the bar. There seems to be plenty of staff on h... Read more

My husband and I, stayed at the Palm Village for 11 nights from 22nd May. We had booked a private transfer so arrived in good time at the hotel. Unfortunately the reception was absolutely packed with people and cases, and it seemed that most people were going to have to wait for their rooms, us included. This did not bother us to much, we just went and had some lunch, and returned to reception later. I do think that the booking in process could be streamlined, and more effort should be made t... My family (2 adults, 3 children) have just returned from a weeks stay at the Salgados Palm Village (SPV). What a lovely resort! We were so impressed. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food was excellent, with a wonderful variety of fresh, tasty meals, including Portuguese dishes. Our favourite restaurant of the 3 available to sample was the Italian. There really was something for everyone to eat and enjoy. We didn't like the loud music playing from TV and would have prefer... Having read numerous mixed Trip Advisor reviews prior to coming here on holiday I will admit to be a little apprehensive as to what lay in store......... At the end of the day, these reviews are people's own opinions and experiences and they will all differ, as will people's expectations Personally, I thought Salgados Palm Village was a brilliant hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is impressive to view upon first sight and didn't disappoint in other area's either. Our room (2409B) was per... Read more

We stayed here for just a week (not long enough!) in June and had probably the best holiday we've ever had as a family! Myself, husband and 3 children (aged 8, 6, 1) had so much fun and relaxation at Salgados. The location is perfect as it's just a 10 min walk to the beach, gorgeous weather, surrounded by golf courses and olive groves and a 10 min taxi ride to Albufeira town. The hotel is really extensive. 10 pools, perfect for kids of all ages, hotel has it's own kids club which is much more e... Read more

Me and my boyfriend have recently come back from this hotel and had a lovely week away, could always find a subbed no matter what time and rooms were very spacious. The food was nice at times but sometimes it would be just warm and it began to get repetitive throughout but that's to be expected with all inclusive. I would definitely recommend the bus which stops outside the hotel, especially because if your with Thomson you can buy two days for the price of 1 (â?¬18 each) but the full journey ... Read more

Just returned home from our family holiday at this hotel. Travelled with my wife and our two boys aged 1 and 3. Had generally a good time but felt slightly disappointed compared with our stay last year at sister hotel Nau Salgados Dunas Suites. The positives are that we had lots of space in our 2 bedroom suite. Large lounge and balcony. 2 shower rooms and the most comfortable beds and pillows you can imagine. Food was tasty and there seemed to be something to suit us at all meals. Kids club staf... Read more

Transferred to this hotel last minute as we had originally booked to go to Turkey the day after the coup... Ended up with a deluxe 2 bed apartment right by the pool. Apart from the door sticking and being a bit tricky to open there were no complaints with the apartment except to say that a larger bin would have been useful. Cot was provided which although was a travel cot it had a very good mattress. Fresh towels, apartment was cleaned and beds made every day. Big spacious rooms, comfy beds, h... Read more

I have 2 young boys (2 and 6) and well holidays are a little challenge. I was sure I wanted an all inclusive resort in the algarve and did not want to use the car to Go to the beach. Unfortunately there is not a lot to offer with this. Last year stayed at the same groups São Rafael suites and loved. This year took the risk of trying this resort. Compared to São Rafael it is much better, the food, the pools, the beach access and the suites. Was fully booked but really did not suffer, no queu... Read more

Stayed here for two weeks, the first week was totally different to the second week. The first week was quiet could easily get a sun lounger, food was way better and get a seat in the bar. The second week the food went down hill, hardly any choice. The pool was manic, no lifeguards and witnessed a little boy nearly drowning. Kids are roaming around the place with no staff or parents supervising. Staff are extremely rude, the man who collects the glasses clicked his fingers at me to pass me my gl... Read more

The room was huge and clean. The complex was fantastic. Enjoyed the food in the 3 restaurants. Branded beer and soft drinks served in the bars and branded soft drink dispensers near the pools. Some people had an issue with plastic cups but they need to get over themselves.....broken glass and bare feet don't mix well. I can't wait to go back!!

We were one of the first to arrive at reception and lucky enough to have our room straight away. Other guests had to wait until 4 p.m. Reception was a bit slow but the staff were pleasant, they try to give you as much information as possible and this tends to have a knock on effect. I.E the queue starts. The room we had was great, big and spacious, although there were minor problems. The TV in the bedroom didn't work and there was a bulb out in one of the bathrooms. A call to reception and these... Read more

After getting up very early for a 6 o clock flight we arrived at hotel around 11 to cut a long story short after going to reception 4 times we eventually got in our room at 3.30. Was very hot and desperate to change into something cooler. First expressions very good but the food was always cold and very repetitive. Entertainment in the evenings rubbish and getting a drink could be difficult with only 2 barmen. The pools are plentiful but with their brown tiles the water is uninviting as it looks ... Read more

Just returned from 11 night stay at this hotel. 5*for room, spacious and large balcony, staff members overall polite one exception who works in the Sports bar. 3 Main issues need to be resolved in this hotel. 1- The food is generally cold or Luke warm, varies little in choice Each night, and poor quality. 2-Only 2 Bars in a place of this size is woeful. 3-Where the entertainment is taking place, there's two TVs Showing the football at the same time with the volume on Surely these should be in the s... I wont go on with the issues with the restaurants its all been said. What i will say is that the rooms were amazing, the best we have stayed in. The staff in the bars were helpful friendly and the drinks were good . The weather was the real event, not one bad day in the seven we were here. There were enough pools and beds to go around to make it not feel crowded at all. We will return here as we were not put off despite the food issues.

I have just returned from staying 4 nights at this hotel. When I arrived to check in the room was not ready @ 11:20. The room was huge and balcony very clean, LG wide screen tv with good movies all in English, food ok, but not hot. Wifi very good in all areas of the hotel, safety box no charge, no charge for beach towels unless you loose the towel card charge of â?¬25. Entertainment could be better maybe ok for the more matured person, same old Elvis Presley, karaoke. All in all I found ... Read more

Stayed for 11 nights end September until 6th October. Weather was brilliant a good 26-28 degrees every day. Couldn't have asked for more. After reading the reviews and awful comments I was very worried but went out with an open mind. So glad I did. It was lovely. We had 2 bed de luxe suite as my daughter was travelling with us. Her bedroom/bathroom was more like a self contained studio. Own tele and a patio door onto balcony -huge huge balcony. We have been many places but never a balcony or sui... Read more

The Hotel complex was much bigger than I expected with blocks of apartments around the pools. We had a deluxe suite with two bedrooms which was very nice with an enormous balcony. A minor problem was that the fridge was in a wardrobe and was difficult to get to. The food was very nice with plenty of variety and the drinks were proper alcohol and readily available. The big problem was the check in. We got there at 11.30am and didnt get in to our room until 3.00pm. which was too long to wait. The... Read more

This was more than I expected, Nice clean hotel. The rooms are amazing, huge well designed and comfy. Loved the fact all our doors opened onto the huge balcony. The Shower was really good. I mentioned on the first night I was gluten free and every day they made sure I had a few extra choices, i did feel there was a wide selection from the 3 hotels but can be slightly samey.
