Stayed in this hotel for 3 days while in Krakow. Very pleased with our stay. The hotel location is excellent and is 5 minute walk from Wawel castle. The hotel is located in a historical buildings and has only 2 floors and 16 rooms. Most rooms are located on the ground floor with a little garden outside. Good quality breakfast. Very good value for money, highly recommended!

It was another visited to Kraków in business and - as usual - walk to an Old Town was a part of it. Rather than to book myself in the same place as before, I've spent some time at internet and decided to stay at this one. Good choice! Very close to the market square (just about 5 minutes walk), with spacious parking (not so obvious for the hotels in such location) and very stylish. It was nice place to stay in Old Kraków and some atmosphere of Old Town remains with you after you're back to the... Read more

we were delighted on arrival at this lovely place. Our room was large, overlooking the gardens. Wake up in the morning to birdsong and fresh air. Room had everything, spacious bathroom with free toiletries, heated floor kept the area comfortably warm. Breakfast was very good, efficient service always with a good morning smile. A short walk into the park that surrounds the main square. Then into the square, immaculately kept and lots to see and do.

This place was ideal for us - close to the old town, yet quiet. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the staff was very friendly. Although the parking is extra, it was right there at the door. No in house restaurant, but many withing easy walking range.

Good location to everything. You cross the road and five minute walk to main square. If you turn left out of the hotel about fifteen minute walk to Jewish quarter so central to everything without being right in the middle of it and is quiet and peaceful. I had a single room at the back so was quiet. There are no lifts to the first floor so be mindful if you have trouble with the stairs. The breakfast is a range of cheese meats pickles, fruit, bread and cereal as well as tea and coffee and the st... Read more

To be perfectly honest, we only booked two nights at the Maltanski in order that we could afford to stay in a more expensive hotel for the other half of our 4 day visit to Krakow. But what a surprise, it's lovely! Our ground floor room (No. 3) fulfilled our every need; clean well appointed, working A/C and TV, tea and coffee making facilities (with Dilmah tea, to top it off!). The bed was a dream, with large square pillows, giving us a real good nights sleep. Breakfast was an ample cold buffet s... Read more

Nice room, clean and well appointed with lovely big bathroom. Lack of aircon was a problem when the temperature outside reached 37 degrees, but otherwise this is a good choice of hotel with friendly, helpful staff, and a short walk to both the Old Town and the Wawel Castle. Close to my conference centre as well, a bonus, and also on several tram routes.

Some things are unforgettable. This hotel is one of them. It's quite small - you will never meet a crowd of people in breakfast room, it's located close to Wawel castle and Old Town - you don't need a taxi or 30-minutes walk to get to anywhere, the rooms are clean and well equipped and if your one is on the first floor you will have your own green patio. Parking is right in front of hotel - great plus in the city. For us it was absolute gem in Krakow. Next time I'm in Krakow - I'll try to stay h... Read more

We are staying 9 nights at the Hotel Maltanski. Part of our time here, my wife is attending a conference, and part is for us to get to know the beautiful city of Krakow. The hotel is housed in the former royal stables, a low-slung two story building with 19 rooms. There is a nice breakfast buffet each morning. The hotel also has a wine list and you can buy bottles of wine (they used to do tastings, but apparently that has ceased). Our room is spacious, king bed (two twins together); large marble... Excellent hotel in an ideal position for all the sights of Kraków. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast freshly prepared with plenty of choice. We had rooms which opened onto small terraces on the ground floor. The staff were very helpful and always replied promptly to my questions.

We stayed in this hotel in August of this year and could not find one fault with it. The location is super. We felt very safe walking to and from it early in the morning and later at night. We were a 5 minute walk from Wawel castle, a 10 minute walk from the Main Square - Rynek Glowny & the Old town. Other areas like the Jewish quarter and the large shopping mall Galeria Krakowska are not a long walk away either. During our 4 day stay in Krakow we never took a taxi or a tram as we could wa... From the moment we arrived to the time we left, this hotel offered all we could have wanted. Ideally situated for the old town or Jewish quarter we could walk to all the places in the city. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and our room was large with a lovely bathroom too. Breakfast was wonderful where we were spoilt for choice. There was nothing to complain about at all -tea and coffee in the room, mini bar if you wanted it and good restaurants nearby. All the staff working ... Read more

This is quite simply a superb hotel. My wife and I stayed in one of the ground floor rooms and with its private patio area, large room and overall exceptional cleanliness we made a fabulous choice. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good which just added to the pleasure of staying at the hotel. The location is excellent too so it can't get much better!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Maltanski! Every single person who works there was friendly, helpful and considerate. Eons ago, the building housed the royal stables of Wawel Castle. While the hotel doesn't have a lot of rooms, the rooms they do have are large and tastefully decorated. We had a patio with our room. Breakfast was excellent. Loved the location as it sits just outside the tourist ring. Lastly, Krakow is a must see destination. Not only is the Krakow area architecturally... Read more

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, opposite a nice park, but still so close to all the attractions. It was less than 10 minutes to walk to the Main Square and only 5 minutes to the Wawel Castle. Each morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast buffet with many choices. The room and bathroom both were spacious, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
