The location is the first big plus about the hotel. I visited in January and the park across the road was white with snow - five minutes to Wawel and five minutes to the Old Town. There was minimal road noise apart from the occasional clip clop of the horses pulling the sight-seeing coaches. The room was clean and very warm. A particular delight was the buffet breakfast each morning. All interactions with staff were friendly and they were very helpful providing information. I would certainly sta... Read more

We liked the location of the Maltanski, next to the park, walking distance to the main square and the castle and yet not right in the busy touristy centre. For us it was the perfect location, quiet with a very good restaurant opposite. The room was large, slightly old fashioned but that gave it character. The walls were quite thin and we could hear our neighbours practising their recorder (badly and loudly!) every morning and evening! This mattered as there was nowhere else to read as no sitt... Hotel was clean. Staff were polite and friendly. Location was 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The Christmas markets had begun. Many cellar bars, cafes and shops down the alleys that were cheaper than the main streets. We did a very informative and interesting walking tour of the city. We visited and enjoyed the salt mines but it's not for the claustrophobic. We really enjoyed the Chopin concert. Lots of churches to visit. Trams plentiful and cheap. Wonderful time and really put us in the Ch... Read more

Stayed here for 5 nights in July. We had a very pleasant room overlooking the rear of the property. The room was clean, spacious with a comfy bed and well-appointed bathroom. There was plenty of cupboard space and the room also had a kettle and fridge. It was hot when we were there and the a/c was very efficient. There was a good selection for breakfast which was served in a small room on the ground floor. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any questions. We used the train fr... Read more

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, opposite a nice park, but still so close to all the attractions. It was less than 10 minutes to walk to the Main Square and only 5 minutes to the Wawel Castle. Each morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast buffet with many choices. The room and bathroom both were spacious, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Maltanski! Every single person who works there was friendly, helpful and considerate. Eons ago, the building housed the royal stables of Wawel Castle. While the hotel doesn't have a lot of rooms, the rooms they do have are large and tastefully decorated. We had a patio with our room. Breakfast was excellent. Loved the location as it sits just outside the tourist ring. Lastly, Krakow is a must see destination. Not only is the Krakow area architecturally... Read more

This is quite simply a superb hotel. My wife and I stayed in one of the ground floor rooms and with its private patio area, large room and overall exceptional cleanliness we made a fabulous choice. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good which just added to the pleasure of staying at the hotel. The location is excellent too so it can't get much better!

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, this hotel offered all we could have wanted. Ideally situated for the old town or Jewish quarter we could walk to all the places in the city. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and our room was large with a lovely bathroom too. Breakfast was wonderful where we were spoilt for choice. There was nothing to complain about at all -tea and coffee in the room, mini bar if you wanted it and good restaurants nearby. All the staff working ... Read more

We stayed in this hotel in August of this year and could not find one fault with it. The location is super. We felt very safe walking to and from it early in the morning and later at night. We were a 5 minute walk from Wawel castle, a 10 minute walk from the Main Square - Rynek Glowny & the Old town. Other areas like the Jewish quarter and the large shopping mall Galeria Krakowska are not a long walk away either. During our 4 day stay in Krakow we never took a taxi or a tram as we could wa...
