Entertainment & Activities

Art and culture have always been at the heart of life in Krakow. The city`s poets, artists and scholars were the force behind Poland`s Golden Age, and later Jan Matejko - arguably the greatest painter - lived in the building that became this hotel. His statue stands outside the neighboring Academy of Fine Arts, and you can still visit the nearby studio where he created his monumental historic works. The old town is now a World Heritage Site, filled with monuments to its former residents, and galleries like the contemporary MOCAK are among the finest in Europe. Named Capital of Culture in 2000, Krakow is experiencing a renewed artistic buzz. You can explore the new museums and bars of the regenerated historic quarters that have brought a resurgent vigor to the city`s creative life when you plan your next visit.

What an obsoletely lovely hotel, the rooms are decorated to a very high standard and the hotel staff are incredibly helpful . I would definitely recommend this hotel. The bar is not huge but is very welcoming and we quickly had conversations with other travellers and the bar staff. The car park is slightly down the street which you have to pay for separately but other than that it's all good.

This is a very stylish hotel, created within a renovated old building very near to the centre (15 mins walk). It is very clean and has a range of room amenities. The HDMI wall socket next to the bed, which links to the TV is a great idea but needs sorting out as it didn't work properly. The very lovely bathroom was spoilt by the walk-in shower flooding most of the floor, which is dangerous considering the continental penchant for electrical sockets in the bathroom (which have to be used for dryi... Read more

One of the best hotel in Cracow. The hotel was recommended to us, and I can see why. The location is fantastic. Many of the main attractions are within easy walking distance. Options for eating out near the hotel are numerous and cater for all tastes. Rooms are lovely. We had a Matejko room and it was fantastic choice. The breakfast deal is worth paying for. The choice and quality of food in the breakfast buffet is fantastic; if good bread is your thing you'll be in Heaven. The hotel staff co... Read more

Indigo is a beautiful boutique hotel, very modern with a sleek, sophisticated design that somehow manages to feel cozy. The hotel is conveniently close to the train station - about 3 blocks - and just five train stops from the airport. You're also about a five minute walk from old town proper - ten minutes and you're in Cloth Hall. The staff is genuinely friendly and very helpful. Not being the most tech savvy, I was relieved when the front desk staff managed to locate and print my boarding pass... Read more

An upgrade to a 4th floor room with skylights was a wonderful start to our 2 night stay here. Beautiful room and the bathroom floor is heated! Gregorie at the front desk went out of his way to arrange a same day tour to Auschwitz. Great location near the train station and the old city wall are also pluses.

Hotel is greatly located in heart of old town, just walking distatnce from Market Square, wawel Casttle Hill, othet touristic attractions of the city. The building is just beautiful - old house renowated with details, taste and great idea. I have never seen so beautifully decorated rooms, stairscase and bar. Great service of young beautiful people ! I would love to come back and totally reccomend it. ps. the best breakfast in the city !

That's a new place on the map and it has some little flaws that I'm sure will be quickly corrected but let's focus on the positives. The building is over 200 years old and the architect did a great job renovating it. The rooms are comfy and spacious although the quality of art inside is questionable. But the best thing there is food. I've tried nearly everything the chef has to offer and it was fantastic. The bartender also stood up to the challenge and served some twisted classics that are yet... Read more

I stayed one night at Indigo. The hotel has just been opened a couple of months back. I was well greeted and told about the facilities. As usual this Indigo does not have the usual standard hotel interior. The design is really nice in an old building within the newly renovated parts in addition. When you enter the room and the bathroom you get "wowed". It is about 10min walk to the market square

The hotel just opened this summer. I liked the interior design a lot (red brick walls mixed with ceilings of concrete and wood. Accessories in shiny copper - very trendy!). Bed was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Private parking near by (which is very important if you have been in Krakow before!). 5 min to Galeria Krakowska, 10min to market place.

We have stayed at Indigo Hotels in Birmingham, Liverpool and York and this one didn't disappoint. What a fantastic hotel. It had only been finished 4 months ago so was brand spanking new. It looked so stylish and modern. The staff were great. Very helpful and accommodating. We took the lift to our room (204) and were wowed when we walked through the door. Our room had 4 huge windows (corner room) and was decorated in new and old bits. The ceiling was bare concrete and there were some brick wall... Read more

Wow...wow...wow! Hotel Indigo have done it again. Amazing hotel, very well located for main transport links and 5 minute walk into the old town. Lovely upgraded room for my birthday did not disappoint. Huge room, huge bed, fantastic wet room bathroom with the best shower. Coffee machine, Bluetooth connectivity throughout the room. Brilliant! Restaurant is lovely, very good and well presented meals. Traditional food with a modern edge. Breakfast was also fantastic. Lots of choice with the... Read more

Just come back from 4 nights at the Hotel Indigo. Staff are welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Very helpful and efficient. Room was quiet and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast is a must! Highly recommend the pancakes with apple and cinnamon (and maple syrup!). Perfect location, 5 minutes walk from the Old Town. Would return again!

Really nice, new and neatly laid out hotel - with some very interesting and well thought through features and stylings. The rooms were lovely - bathroom fab (with heated floor) - excellent TV and modern facilities. Nice décor (although the bare ceiling takes some getting used to!). Good location - walking distance from main town area and very close to Galleria also. Would definitely stay again next time.

This is newly open hotel, and directly I have to say they do have a long way ahead of them. I am talking about staff confident, about missing few things etc. On other hand, right directly I have to also say - staff is MEGA polite and nice to you. So as I always say, even if you dont know, or what ever, you can also turn negative to positive, just by being nice, try to do maximum etc. I will def. return to this hotel, because it has his style. Breaky are not extra rich, but also, it kind of fits ... Read more

My partner took me here birthday, and despite never having been to Poland before, we fell in love with this hotel, the city, the people, and just had the most amazing time all-round. The hotel itself is striking as you walk in - shiny mirrors, immaculately presented staff and well-decorated relaxing spaces. The weather had just truned cold with an average of -2 degrees celcius outside, but the hotel made it a warm and toasty 25 degrees upwards. Practical things: there is a hair-drier, ironin... Staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. One member of staff walked me to the end of the road and directed me to the old town, which is literally 2 minute walk. Location is excellent. Short walk to main square. Clean and spotless and I also have a complimentary upgrade. I arrived at 11am and was able to check straight into my room. Amazing! Fashionable, funky and quirky decor. Room was modern, stylish and perfect temperature. The bed was huge and comfortab... Read more
