We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is elegantly decorated, if not a bit faded with time. I loved this style and feeling of times past. It fitted in with the rest of Krakow. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in an apartment. It was huge and had everything we needed. The shower was a bit sad so I had baths instead (not a problem). The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice with bread rolls, meats, cheese, hot food, fruit, yoghurt, good coffee, etc. The room was positioned to the... Read more

Have just returned from a weekend break and stayed in the hotel Francuskie and what a pleasurable experience. We arrived in the very earl hour of Saturday resulting in a flight delay but the pick up which the hotel arranged was waiting with our names on a card, much to our relief.(90 slotie to hotel ). The driver was fantastic a gentlemen called Adam who chatted to us all the way to the hotel telling us about Krakow etc. Arrived at hotel and checked in with a very warm welcome and yes this hotel... We were here for 3 nights & had an amazing stay! All the staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Our room was warm & comfortable which was essential due to the freezing temperatures outside! The hotel provides an excellent choice for breakfast & the complementary packed lunch was completely unexpected! The Francuski is no more than five minutes stroll from the town square through some attractive shopping avenues & really convenient for the local transport system. An inexpensive & lovely b... Great location, edge of the old town, 10 minutes walk from the train station/Airport transfer. Very nice, genuine welcome and smooth check out. Room 405, very good size. Twin beds. Period furnishings and installations. Not all positive, not everyone wants a radiator next to their bed. Mixer bathroom taps - took an age for cold tap to stop running warm. A room safe would have been nice - more later! Room was quiet from other guests and also outside noise. Room and hotel clean throughout. Lovely b... Read more

I visited here with my cousin from 27 to 30 January. The hotel is ideally placed, a short walk away from the main town square. The staff are amazingly helpful. We arrived too early for check in but they checked our room and as it was ready, Robert the doorman took our bags immediately to our room. The rooms are large, warm and comfortable. Yes ....slightly old fashioned to say the least but charming and spotlessly clean. Great bath and shower and toiletries renewed daily. The staff cannot do eno... Read more

We have just returned from Krakow after a long weekend and stayed in Hotel Francuski. This hotel is a gem, the staff are fantastic particularly the reception team, so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is spot on only a few minutes walk from the main square and the castle. The breakfast is superb with plenty of choice and is served from 7-11. We would certainly recommend it and if we return to krakow we would stay here again Debbie

We stayed for 4 nights in January. The room was comfortable and overlooked the road. We were on the 3rd floor. The windows opened which was nice, even though it was very cold outside it was good to have a blast of fresh air. The WiFi is excellent, and the hotel is lovely and warm. The staff are very helpful and speak very good English. The location of the hotel is excellent, inside the city walls, roughly 3 minutes stroll from the centre. There are lovely restaurants all around. We turned left o... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights mid January. The hotel is perfectly positioned 2 blocks away from the main square, just far enough away not to be bothered with the noise but close enough to walk to in a couple of minutes. The rooms were in keeping with the age of the hotel but everything worked perfectly so it was a pleasant surprise. Room 302 faces the road, we weren't bothered by passing traffic except for the occasional early morning dustcart. The rooms could do with a safe and bet... Read more
